Cons -
- I am writing to express my deep disappointment following an absolutely unacceptable experience upon our arrival at the hotel. From the moment we walked in, we were met with an appalling attitude from a staff member named Sofia. Her behavior, tone, and general manner were shockingly disrespectful. She should absolutely not be working in any customer-facing role.We had made a reservation via Booking.com for two adults and one child, and upon arrival, we were told that it is mandatory to book two rooms in such cases – something that was never mentioned during the booking process. We were then told that our only option was to split up our family, placing one adult and the child in a separate room – a solution that made absolutely no sense and was never our intention.Eventually, we were offered another room – one that was designed for guests with disabilities. While we have the utmost respect for the need for accessible rooms, it was completely unsuitable and uncomfortable for our family, given that we are not in need of such accommodations. Cramped and impractical, it made our stay extremely unpleasant. What made everything worse was not just the lack of appropriate solutions, but the way we were spoken to – as if we were in the wrong, being unreasonable, or even dishonest. The dismissive and arrogant tone we were subjected to was an absolute disgrace. No guest should ever be treated in such a way.We expect a prompt and serious response to this complaint, and we hope concrete actions will be taken to ensure no other guests are treated in the same manner.

- It misses a coffee machine in the rooms.

Excellent breakfast, dining, wonderful staff, beautiful building and grounds, best possible location, managed with great finesse and competence
Beautiful location, super friendly staff, good food
The dining room was a bit cold
Amazing peaceful location.Amazing breakfast.
It misses a coffee machine in the rooms.
We loved the location and facilities most of all: a quiet, beautifully-designed island respite from the city just a short bridge walk away. The staff were all delightful and utterly professional; the food was delicious (we enjoyed the breakfast and one dinner.
If we had a complaint, our room felt small. It was ample, since we were out on the town or enjoying the surrounding grounds, but was initially a slight disappointment after the online photos.
This place is very cool, on a small island, maybe a 15-minute walk to the main downtown, or a 5 minute ferry ride. Great breakfast, and dinners. We ate there all three nights of our stay as the food was great, excellent service, and reasonably priced. We enjoyed that it was removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, it was very quiet with great outdoor space available
A bathtub and a real sink would have been nice, but otherwise it was great
This hotel is so nice. Great atmosphere and excellent location. This was our 3rd or 4th visit here. Very friendly staff and the island is just very nice.
The room on the top floor has some awkward/sloped ceilings making the bathroom into a head bump area. It is an old building and it adds to the character, but it is awkward.
This was my 4th stay and it was great. The property was amazing as always. The breakfast is superb. Our room was very comfortable and had a nice view. It’s just such a lovely, serene spot! I appreciated them letting us know about bus changes ahead of our stay. Also gave us a really lovely little welcome treat.
This is one of my favorite places, but I found a few things lacking this time. I would’ve loved a carafe for water in the room I could fill up - it was hard to get enough water in the room. The restaurant is delicious but would have loved even one more option for when traveling with a child. These are small things though, we loved our stay
We loved the staff, food and the overall location. A fantastic place to relax.
Beautiful location. Friendly and helpful staff. Artistic decor. Spacious room with lovely view of the water and park grounds
Great location, in the center, quiet and surrounded by nature, nice views. Nice food, good wine, excellent breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff at the restaurant. Big room and comfortable bedding. Easy access with public transport or taxi. Nice walks around
Reception is small and the staff was not very welcoming. The room was big, a little bare - i thought that for the price of about 450 euro per night for 1 person, rooms could be a little more cosy. Not enough light in the bathroom.
I have been lucky enough to stay in a number of great hotels over the years however Hotel Skeppsholmen was exceptional and right at the top end of my list. A building with history, character and a wonderful stylish refurb that screams Scandi all in the most beautiful location. Stunning.
Everything was excellent. Extremely recommended.
We spend there five nights, but the breakfast hot meals always were the same (but that is only minuscule deficiency, despite that breakfast always was great). Nothing else to add.
Location combined with stylish rooms
TV never worked (not a big problem, but…). The first impression from the reception was cold and mechanical, not friendly and welcoming. Instructions about where to park were matter of fact and we were then left to work things out. Same with the travel pass for Stockholm.
It’s a wonderful place in the middle of a very quiet island, close to everything important. Both the environment and the facilities are very good, and the views are beautiful.
The friendliness of the staff, the breakfast is very good, the room was very nice, and the views were very beautiful.
Wonderful location and view. Calm ambience, it feels as if you're in a spa retreat just having a coffee in the sunshine on the deck. Breakfasts are exemplary. Staff (in person and online/email) are simply excellent. One of my favourite hotels in that it's luxurious yet also modest.
Superbly located on an accessible island, we walked everywhere! Great views, stylish, excellent rooms. Super tasty breakfasts with plenty of variety. Happy, friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing. This is a superb hotel.
Breakfast was plentiful, healthy, relaxed and had a wide variety of well presented dishes, breads, pastries etcEvery member of staff was friendly, helpful and always ready to help with questions eetcLocation was perfect for exploring the city - quiet and picturesque, yet only a 10-15 minute walk to the central building interesting to tourists such as the National museum and Royal Palace)Room was airy with lovely view of the sea. Linen was soft as soft!
It was all perfect - exactly what I hoped for
Overall a comfortable and pleasant hotel in a historical building on a quiet and conveniently located island near the city center and the old town and across from another island containing major museums, all easily accessible by walking, ferries or buses. Front desk personnel very pleasant and helpful. Good restaurant on premises, included nice breakfast with excellent coffee. Only minor criticisms were odd style of bathroom sink, artistically interesting but extremely non-functional, and unsupportive pillows. Room otherwise quite adequate with pretty view over bay.
Was a stunning hotel in a beautiful old building which had so much character. The breakfast too was outstanding with so many healthy options.Location is also perfect for exploring Stockholm.
The only thing that was missing was as any coffee facilities in the room, which would have been nice to have.
