Pros +
- Spacious, architecturally charming room. Also a great bathroom for the heart of gamla stan.
- Excellent location in Gamla Stan, you can walk everywhere, very friendly staff. Special feeling staying in this 400 years old house was the crown of our trip to Stockholm
- It was charming and comfortable. Lots of little touches to ensure guests are taken care of. Breakfast was delicious, and so thoughtfully presented.
Cons -
- Bathroom did not match the charm of the room, but I would still stay again!
- There was a very narrow and steep spiral staircase (no lift), which could be problematic for guests with mobility issues or large suitcases. Reception only in the morning, you get a code to enter the building. The wifi did not reach my room at all. The bathroom was tiny, only shower curtain around the floor so it was wet everywhere after the shower. The bed was too soft and shaky. I could hear people speaking in the street at night - the streets are very narrow in the area. It was OK as the windows were closed but it could be problematic in summer with many people leaving restaurants and bars at night.
- The beds. Twin where you fall through the middle. Also rather uncomfortable.

It was an interesting experience to stay in a very old house in the middle of the owl town. The room was very large. The breakfast had the basics.

Clean and historic hotel. Great staff. I appreciate the location on certain occasions. It's on a narrow side alley of a pretty busy tourist street. Thus pro and cons.

Food, staff, location
Very quaint old hotel, with modern bathrooms, excellent location and wonderful staff. Really good beds, pillows and heating.
Loved the location and friendliness of the staff- as well as the smooth check-in and check-out
since it has the old building charm, the doors were really heavy and our bathroom door didn't stay shut unless we put a chair up against it for when we showered
Quaint old building in the heart of Gamla Stan. Plenty of atmosphere.
No lift and a steep, narrow, winding staircase. Guests need to be in good physical condition. Large suitcases are a bad idea. There is no reception: it's impossible to know who's in charge. Breakfast was pretty basic. Mattresses were soft.
Loved the old world feel of the hotel. Loved the friendliness of the staff. Breakfast had good variety.
Superb location, lovely staff and lots of character
Put a handle on the bathroom foor
Great location. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The stairs. Very narrow and spiral making walking up them with suitcase very difficult.
Very helpful, friendly staff. Good size bathroom with great shower. Great location. Unique, interesting old building. Fridge and tea making facility.
Room was very small with the bathroom door opening directly onto the bed. Beds were not comfortable-too soft.
Large comfortable room in a good location. Easy to get to from the central station. Breakfast was generous and the hotel offered snacks all day.
No lift and the stairs are very steep in this property.
The staff was incredibly nice. The location was perfect and everything was clean and comfortable.
Amazing location. The 1 bedroom apartment was really spacious, with heaps of room. The staff were very friendly & accomodating. The breakfast provided was yummy.
It is a bit noisy, but that's purely due to it's amazing location - and the staff provided earplugs
Central location and characterful hotel.with excellent friendly, helpful and efficient staff
Three flights of narrow stairs might not suit older guests with mobility issues. I took it slowly when lugging my suitcase upstairs !
Great location, good breakfast
Noisy at night, difficult to close doors (wonky and not level) and staircase was steep
First of all if you are looking for a plastic & chrome hotel with all the whistles and bangs then you won't find it here. If you are looking for a quaint, quirky, full of character cozy little hotel, then look no further.Check-in is simple - a door-code (give the door a good shove as it has settled in its frame after all these years), wind your way up the stairs (and yes they do wind and they do creak) and there, hanging on a peg. YES a key! what a joy, and it is a proper key in keeping with the old building. There are 2 doors, one that only opens from the outside and one that only opens from the inside - worth remembering!.Our room was lovely, a seriously sloping floor, a beamed ceiling, windows in 2 directions, comfy beds, 2 chairs and a table, a desk, a little closet. Lighting that could be adjusted, mock candles that flickered to add to the atmosphere. Small bathroom, but what can be expected in a building from a few centuries ago. The toilet worked, the shower was hot and powerful enough, the toiletries smelt nice and everything was provided including a water scraper to tend to the floor after showering.Breakfast was good, fresh bread, croissants, eggs, juice, smoothie, ginger shots, yoghurt, cereal, tea and coffee. And no waft of bacon or badly scrambled eggs! Such joy. We were attended to by a young, cheery, helpful member of staff that made sure everything was provided. Yes the breakfast room is small but it is all part of the experience.Overall we would, without a doubt, come back and we will recommend the hotel to a select few in order to keep it that little bit secret.
The maintenance person could do with just checking the room as a plug was loose, a light switch difficult to turn and part of the bathroom cabinet needed screwing back in (i did it to save time!)
-excellent location-cozy-friendly staff, great hospitality
-ceiling and doors are low, might not be comfortable for people with a height >1.80m-stairway is narrow and steep, not barrier-free, not accessible for people with reduced mobility
