breakfast quality is good but little service for a 5 star hotel: no coffee or eggs served at table, you need to order and wait for your eggs at the open kitchen and coffee comes from a fully automated self service machine - there is a better Italian style coffee machine in the lobby but it is only used for you if you actively request it at breakfast reception

Avalon's location is great and so was the staff. The design of the hotel and interior is unique and quirky, which is nice in contrast to the chain hotels. The breakfast was also great.

In out room, the shower and toilet were located together with only partial possibility to prevent water from the shower splashing across the floor. In addition, the bed was on a slightly raised level which one does not think about until one needs to get up in the middle of the night.

Amazing location very central.Our room was beautiful and had everything you could need.The horse lamp on the large balcony was incredible!

The room was spacious and they really have thought about the details. Two comfy chairs, enough glasses to have wine and water. These were just a few details. Very comfy bed as well. The staff was great.

There weren't many tv channels to choose from. The breakfast was served a bit late and even if there was enough to choose from, it wasn't a wow moment.

Nothing really anything negative would be a nitpick.I generally find Hotel rooms too hot and this was the case with our room. But nothing abnormal.

Breakfast is very good but it would be nice if you could order your eggs. I don't like the precooked scrambled eggs in hotels and as this hotel is more costly than many this would be a nice touch and would justify the higher price paid at this hotel. The location is great and the beds are very comfortable with 3 different types of pillows to choose from so this makes a big difference and they make up your bed each day.

The lighting is so dim that ist's hard to see but this is a problem I have all over Scandinavia, not just at this hotel. I have to use the torch on my phone to find things in my case.

Comfortable bed and pillows, the duvet wasn't too hot as it often is in many Scandinavian hotels. The style of the rooms and the choice of TV channels was great. Although I didn't use the mini bar, it was nice that it was there as an option. The slippers and bath robe were very nice to have. The breakfast is very nice but it would be great if you could order your eggs.
