- Large room close to all attractions.
Cons -
- Hotel location next to bar and restaurant very noisy at night.
- The check-in process felt a bit lengthy, with lots of paperwork to sign, which seemed unnecessary these days, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The room had many different strong lights from the fire control system, TV, and alarms, which made it a bit difficult to fall asleep. For some reason, our phone chargers stopped working when the room lights were turned off, as if the power supply was cut.
- The coffee machine didn't work for the duration of our stay(there was no milk or coffee in it) we had to constantly ask for for coffee. The pineapple juice had turned on our third day, the melon had turned by our final day and they ran out of simple things like cheese! I also had to look for a plate, cutlery and serviettes. The sraff at breakfast were also dressed very casually in jeans which I found disappointing as the reception staff were very smart. We were also disappointed to find no evening meals were available.

We didn’t spend much time here since it was our last night in the city and we had an early flight home. I really liked the spacious room, the terrace, and the lovely, vibrant Santa Cruz neighborhood.

Our room was nice & comfortable with a lovely big bathroom. The staff on reception were friendly & helpful

Location was ideal for us
Breakfast a little sparseAll coffee from a machine which meant queuing
The hotel is very well positioned, in the center, in Barrio de Santa Cruz! The rooms are modern and pleasant! The breakfast is satisfactory!
I was disturbed by the noise overnight from the garbage trucks and construction materials, renovation! Fortunately, with the help and kindness of Natalia at the reception, we managed to change the room to a quiet one on the opposite side of the square!
The location, the comfortable bed, the amazing shower, the breakfast buffet and most importantly the staff.
In the center of the historic district, very nears, everything the pool on the roof was a lifesaver. It gets very hot there even in October. The staff was excellent. They do have a restaurant we did not stay to. Eat there. Our room was spacious and had a lot of space for hanging clothes.
You must walk with your luggage to the hotel. It's not that bad, but I didn't know at the time. There is no room service
Location is excellent. We’ve stayed before and it’s our favourite area.Staff were great. Natalia on reception was excellent, particularly with communication before we arrived. José was also very friendly. Good breakfast.
The room was very dull. Having stayed before in a room above the entrance facing the street we were expecting a similar standard of a bright, spacious, luxurious room as pictured on the website, but this was not the case. The colour scheme was very drab and the room felt dark. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed but it was not like our first visit. We were disappointed. Next time we’ll ask for our first room.
The location is perfect, definitely in the pedestrian old city but near the edge so it's quite easy to get to with luggage. The welcome on arrival was lovely. The hotel itself is a nice blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. Very good sleep and a fantastic shower. My room was spacious, sufficient storage to unpack properly, had effective and adjustable air-conditioning, a nice little sofa, complimentary water, and was directly on a busy lane but totally quiet when the window was shut. There were discreet recycling bins in the lobby for guests to sort their trash, which I appreciated. All the reception staff were always very friendly and helpful when I had requests. Thank you!
The safe in my room didn't work, which was a real nuisance. I mentioned it twice to reception but it couldn't be fixed during my very short stay.It would have been quite useful if reception had the traditional detailed paper maps for guests because navigating via phone doesn't work perfectly in the old city.
Staff. Location. Pretty hotel.
Cleaning staff. A four star hotel shouldn’t forget to provide guests with appropriate towels and bedding daily.
It’s okay
Woke up with one cockroach crawling on the floor , one was dead in the corner and opening the door we found another dead one , instead of a solution or a partial refund upon checkout we just got an explanation that there could be cockroaches..
The staff were amazing. So helpful and knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They really went out of their way to help me and gave me lots of brilliant site seeing and food recommendations. The room and hotel were very clean and the roof terrace / pool were amazing.
I was in a room on the ground floor therefore I was next to a small passageway that was a main thoroughfare so it was noisy all night long and I was woken often. Am sure this wouldn’t be an issue if you ask for a room on one of the other floors.
The location of the hotel was perfect, in the old town and close to the sights. It had a lovely atmosphere and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Our room was excellent.
I liked everything about the hotel.
Quiet location, nice staff. The pool was nice, but the rooftop bar was never open.
Nothing, anything i needed was solved instantly by asking - eg for a toothbrush
Beautiful rooms, rooftop patio with pool was gorgeous. Friendly and attentive staff.
The staff went above and beyond to help during my stay. The location was great, convenient for the old town, and I was happy that there was a pool on the roof! The building was lovingly restored and it looked very stylish. The air conditioning worked well.
I would have liked it if the rooms were more scented - an orange oil smell in the rooms would be lovely. This is a historic building so I think it would make a nice difference.
Beautiful boutique hotel, spacious and comfortable room and a great pool! The room on the ground floor is stunning and everything feels luxurious. And the location is perfect, in beautiful Santa Cruz and close to everything. Highly recommend.
As the room is next to the entry and reception, it can get a bit noisy, especially when people come back to the hotel from a night out.
Beautiful setting, luxurious room and friendly staff
