Excellent location, friendly staff and exceptional breakfast
Staff were amazingly helpful. They were happy to change our room for the second night due to a resident in the room above who was up at the crack of dawn doing a walking marathon in his room. Extremely helpful with everything we asked of them and very polite. Location pretty good as only a couple of minutes walk to the metro, a bus stop directly outside the hotel and approximately a 15/20 minute walk to the Central Station. Breakfast was very generous, with choice of Full English or Continental with lovely fresh bread, croissants as well as cereals and yoghurts etc. Breakfast room had a nice ambiance too.
TV in room difficult to find channels in english.
Very good location, abundant breakfast, kind staff. Coffee/tea available in the lobby 24/7. Room very well equipped.
Excellent breakfast, very good location
The room was basic and the bathroom very small with an inconvenient shower. There was scaffolding outside our window and we had to have the curtains closed, otherwise we were in full view of the people breakfasting at the hotel opposite to ours
İ stayed at the suite, the room was full of dust and there was a spider web at the ceiling.
Cleaniness of the room could have been better.
Disappointing
No TV for 4 days and no attempt to restore service. Not everyone goes out in the evenings making it a boring stay at night
Nice cozy little hotel with a fab location and delicious breakfast. Tram station is just next door and train station is very near.
It was convenient. Front desk staff was great.
Small room, shower made a big mess, no place to put clothing/suitcases. Very rude personnel in restaurant/bar area. He held a grudge bc we sat in the wrong place.
The location and the breakfast have been great. Also the staff was very accommodating considering that I’ve forgot to book 1 night and that we’ve asked them to change the mattress as the initial one wasn’t really comfortable.
The hotel and room in itself are a bit outdated. Also the bathroom is very small in regular double rooms (you can literally hit the sink while on the toilet), where we stayed for 1 night. For 3 nights we stayed in a business room, where the bathroom and room space was better, but still the room furnishing could be modernised.
Room suitable for a family of 4 adults; nice balcony to enjoin sunset. Very nice complementary coffee.
First of, cleaning was not adequate: we found a box of shoes belonging to previous guests in our room! Then a lot of dust under the beds and curtains were stained. At breakfast for 2 days in a row we found molded gluten-free bread, in spite the fact that we pointed it out the first morning
The location was fabulous! The breakfast was outstanding.
The rooms were very cramped. No plug for sink, and daily service is optional and not very good. Soap dispenser did not work.
Rooms were clean with all required facilities including kettle and fridgeGood range of food at breakfast, freshly cooked, not too busyClose to Royal palace
Twin room beds were very close together and couldn't be moved apart
Breakfast was fabulous. A great variety; everyone could find food they liked and could eat plenty of it.
Room was small
The hotel is located in a central location which means everything that all major tourist attractions are within walking distance—including the main train station. The room is of decent size, with a work table and a lounging chair provided. The breakfast buffet is the star of this hotel: a large variety of sweet and savoury dishes to choose from.
Not really a dislike but the rooms are not equipped with AC so if you’re going there in the summer, prepare to just open the windows or use the fan provided by the hotel. This is not the hotel‘s fault as Oslo had only seen summer temperatures climb to 28 degrees Celsius! There was a time when peak summer temperature was at 15 degrees.
The room was pretty comfortable although not spacious. Breakfast was very good with a wide range available. I thought the location was good despite not being central: there is a tram stop very close by, it is only a short walk to the royal palace and if you are coming to or from the airport, it is a few blocks from National Theatre train station (a stop for the fast airport train). The staff on reception were very good - helpful and cheerful.
Room was a little small for two adults each with a suitcase, given the price.
Great location! The room was comfortable but hot as there was no air conditioning. The breakfast was amazing and the breakfast staff was very efficient and friendly.
I had purchased a beer mug and it not there the morning I was to leave. The staff was less than helpful in finding - suggesting that I misplaced it, but I knew where it was before staff had cleaned my room. They offered no compensation. I assumed it was a mistake by the cleaning person but result was same that it didn’t come home with me.
We LOVED the breakfast! It was amazing. The gym was also very nice for a hotel gym, as most don't have a squat rack, but this one did. The staff was also wonderful, very helpful, and we were able to check in quite early, which was very appreciated. The mini fridge and coffee were nice too.
The rooms were just okay, nothing very fancy, and the pillows sucked. There was also no conditioner, which I found a bit odd.
Comfy bedsGood room facilities including a fridgeNice breakfast
Shower screen useless and soaked bathroom floor, don't understand why hotels dont have shower trays. Then they have the hairdryer in there so you have no choice but to mop up the floor!Cafe run independently and wanted to charge me to take a couple of rolls out of there, have no idea why they feel need to charge when I could have sat there for hours eating plateful after plateful. So I left them for him to dispose of - What a waste!
