Cons -
- Where do i begin? Our first night the room was AWFUL! It was filled with other peoples hair!! Gross! The room was shabby and run down and its window looked out into a truly awful scenary! Not a good first night. We moved across the street the 2nd nite
- When I tried to change the dates of my stay by one day the hotel refused. This was despite numerous vacancies in the hotel. When I arrived I was given a room worse than what I had paid for and was told my requested room type was sold out.
- -Staff were unfriendly and showed little willingness to help.-The first room faced the kitchen and smelled strongly like one. When I asked to change it, the staff member came to check the room and said he couldn’t smell anything, and that it would be difficult to change since the hotel was full. They eventually switched my room after I insisted.-The first room I tried had a working air conditioner with very cold air (a rare thing to find in Norway hotels). In the second room, the AC did not work. When I asked, the staff insisted the hotel had no AC, even though the first room clearly did. Later, after trying several times, the AC actually started working! However, the window cannot be opened, so there was no way for fresh air to come in without a working AC. The staff showed no interest in resolving the issue-Overpriced ($272 per night) compared to the quality and services.-No phone in the room to contact reception, which means you have to go down in person for any request.-No tissue box provided.-No floor towel/mat in the bathroom.-Disturbing noise early in the morning from loud music and nearby street construction.-TV does not support mirroring unless you use an HDMI cable.

Comfortable room with good breakfast. Very helpful staff
location
no english channel on tv no restaurant for dinner or lunch. I asked for cleaning but they only gave us new towels and cleaned trash. The whole room was dusty and i could feel the dust on the floor tables everywhere
This property was so easy to get to, and a great location. We were close to all the things we needed. The rooms were spotless and the buffet breakfast in the morning was perfect. Really loved the shampoo and conditioner that is provided. This was the largest room I could find at a great rate for our 3 night stay and the bed was very comfortable. Europe typically doesn’t have king sized beds that I have found so it was a treat. Highly recommend. Would stay there again definitely.
The bathroom shower is weak. I couldn’t get the water hot enough and the water pressure was not a thing. Also for some reason the shower doors aren’t sealed so water gets everywhere.
The central location, very convenient.
The ventilation system couldn’t be turned off and the windows were not tight, the cold air flow from outside was terrible.
Good location and one of the staff members was extremely nice her name was Vanja she helped us so much and was extremely nice
It was small and not that nice looking
location, value
staff not fully supportive
location , breakfast, staff
Nice functional room. Very good beds. Excellent breakfast buffet. Great location though the main train station is a 15 min walk away.
Quality of staff at the reception rather uneven ranging from extremely helpful to useless (not even able to make restaurant suggestions)
Central, clean, comfortable, fantastic breakfast
Everything. The hotel is in a perfect location and easy to walk. The staff is so nice and helpful. Always smiling. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing!!! So many choices and all delicious
Close to the fortress, the Nobel Peace Museum and to the waterfront.
We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay. They have great service and range of varieties for every taste and for anyone with particular food allergy. Our room (king option) was normal in size and the furniture was new.
Even though our room was in the last floor (10th), we did not have any view of the sea because of the surrounding buildings. The WiFi reception was awful. We didn’t get any coverage from the usual WiFi. Contacting the reception about this, they connected our devices to another network (with special password) which didn’t work either. This was the first hotel that we noticed there is no phone (or any communicational device) in the room to contact reception or any other service in the hotel. Cleanness wise, we noticed some stains on two of our pillows when we returned late to our room at around 10 pm. But we couldn’t do anything about it since there was no one at the reception. About our bed, it was not usual to get two single person quilts for a king double bed. We mentioned it to the reception, but nothing changed.
Breakfast was absolutely great. Reception staff were outstanding and helped us with directions to sites we wanted to visit and restaurants. The hotel's location was top-notch - a breeze to walk to the harbor - a bit more of a walk to get to some better restaurants.
The room was small but manageable.
Location
I was charged a fee because I arrived one hour earlier while the person checking in next to me wasn’t charged a fee. Beds are uncomfortable. There are no drawers or shelf for your clothes just four hangers for two people. I will not stay again
Excellent breakfast!
The safe in room 429 didn't work--recommend someone change the battery or replace it.
Modern hotel. Nice comfortable room, good location in the city center. Great breakfast buffet.
The soap dispenser (body & hair) was empty upon our arrival. The lcd display of the airco was broken. It was not possible to adjust the airco. There was coffee and thee in the room, but just 1 coffee mug. When we notified the reception about this, we were told to go to the second floor and take a second coffee mug from the breakfast room ourselves. (Service??)
