Friendly staff, cleanliness, location was good
Breakfast had dried out under the lights by the time I got to it and the cereal area was always messy
The lady receptionist was very friendly, clean room, breakfast included, good price for a bed.
Good breakfast
Noises from showers next to my room and someone was drunk try to punch me på toilet
It was a comfy place , very cheap for the facilities and the staff attention.Place always clean and well preserved.Space for the kids to play and enjoy, as well as adults.
Nothing to complain
Clean and good location
Breakfast did not have lot of options for kids.
Breakfast
Booking said that the front desk is open 24 hours. Then, when I booked, it said check-in is until 23:30. In a private message, the receptionist told me it is until 23:00. So, I had to rush from the plane to get there in time, because the receptionist didn't give me any clear answer about what to do if my flight was delayed and I didn't make it by 11:00 PM (the answer was something like, "We'll figure something out"). It was incredibly stressful. Several people in the room complained of skin irritation and itching. I've also read many similar reviews here already. The beds on the 2nd floor have no railings, so you can easily fall.
Fantastic location by park with views over the city and fjord. Convenient for tram to city centre. Reasonably priced by Oslo standards. International clientele, of all ages.
No complaints! Have been there previously, and will hopefully return.
Very clean facility, it reminded me of being in college. Lounge on first floor, which is 1 floor above reception. I think the lounge is open 24 hours, comfortable couches. Big kitchen area that you have to scan into. I was able to buy soap on site and wash for $5 USD.
It's pricey considering it's a hostel. I know it's Norway/Scandinavia where "everything is more expensive" but $31 USD nightly is high for a hostel practically anywhere, after traveling in 55 countries. This is taking into account that the hostel is not centrally located. It's a 20 minute bus/tram ride from the central bus station. Since the train to/from the airport is itself a journey, the location and price are only worth it because there aren't that many other options. I would only stay here again if I want to budget travel.
Room is good, breakfast is good bu the location is far from the aiport and city center. it is good I stayed at the ground floor.
breakfast, location, and amenities
The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is warm. The breakfast is wonderful and caters to every taste, even vegetarians.
A hard folding bed (or rather, a mattress). An iron bed frame that I kept hitting my knees on when I tried to roll over. And the pillow was very hard, I couldn't sleep, my neck just went numb.
I really enjoyed the stay here. The receptionist is super cool and extremely helpful. He sent an extra mile and helped me in a matter I needed the most.Rooms are clean and tidy. Good breakfast is provided and really worth for the money we spend.
Nothing, all good.
The breakfast was very good. Variety of options. Service at the dining hall was also good. The interior of the newly built building is charming. The exterior is picturesque.
There is no elevator. It was so unexpected and unfortunate for 3rd floor visitors specially for the elders. It caused pain and discomfort. A room for 3 persons, for 3 nights should have been larger.
I had a lovely stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. On arrival, we mentioned that we would be leaving too early for breakfast, and they kindly arranged a breakfast package for us to take away — a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable, particularly for a hostel. There’s also a well-equipped communal kitchen available if you’d like to prepare your own meals. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area. Overall, a pleasant and well-run hostel that I would happily recommend.
Despite my request for a lower bunk being confirmed, upon arrival the staff informed me that none were available. They kindly offered me a single room instead, which was a wonderful surprise. The stay was lovely — the room was comfortable and the overall experience exceeded my expectations.
