    • The room was exceptionally well taken care of and clean. The bed was one of the best we slept in during two weeks in Europe. The location was great for seeing Oslo. The included Breakfast was the best we tried while Europe for two weeks. Friendly Staff.
    • The food was outstanding for both lunch and dinner - that definitely helped in pricey Oslo. The location is excellent; both the bed and room were very comfortable.
    • Breakfast was quite good and various, location excelent.

    Cons -

    • It would be helpful if there was a magnifying make up mirror. Other than that we cannot think of anything that would have made our stay better.
    • WIFI could have been a bit faster, but was fine for our purposes.
    • There the carpet is old and I suspect a cleaning solution is being applied that smells musty. Maids start turning on the vacuum cleaner too early.

The location was excellent! Some members of the staff were extremely helpful. Others on the staff didnt seem to want to be bothered. The ambiance was excellent! Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff excellent!

I didnt like that some of the items in my room were not functioning as advertised. Such as the heated floor and the heater in the room. We were there a week and on the last day the elevator was operating. For ppl with health issues that information is essential to know because they should have the opportunity to switch hotels if needed. Not having netflix as a universal option for visitors from everywhere is unfortunate.

    Central location, quirky design.

Rooms were quite small. First day at breakfast crazy busy and couldn’t get a table. Staff were hot and miss- some lovely and provided great service, but others were unhelpful or made you feel an inconvenience to them.

Great location, lovely rooms and excellent service.

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Oslo... within walking distance of everything you probably want to visit for a city break. The staff couldn't be more welcoming, friendly or helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and the daily service was welcome. The breakfast was excellent, wide ranging choice covering most options. We were surprised to find a 540 seat theatre in the basement! the Christmas fair was immediately opposite the hotel which added to the festive atmosphere.

We found the room quite hot... and couldn't seem to work the thermostat.

Very friendly staff at reception.Comfy bed, duvet and pillows.Decent breakfast. Superb location.

The room temperature was centrally controlled by reception, and a one-size-fits-all approach is clearly ineffective. Heating was switched off overnight, which would have been particularly uncomfortable had the outside temperature dropped below the 5 degrees we experienced, let alone −5. The portable heater provided was excessively noisy and unsuitable for use either during the day or at night. We also believe that the vent positioned above the bed was extracting much of the room’s heat and expelling it into the corridor. As a result, the room lacked warmth and comfort, which significantly detracted from our four night stay. Regrettably, we will not be returning, nor would we recommend the property during the autumn or winter months. The bar does not align with the overall standard or character of the restaurant. It presents more as a sports bar and would benefit from drawing inspiration from the restaurant to achieve a more cohesive and refined experience.

The location was central to everything fun about Oslo. We loved the old theatre vibe, and it always seemed like it was a popular place each night. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the city and walkable to train stations, attractions, shopping and dining, etc. This was a trendy hotel with alot to offer for anyone looking to enjoy Oslo.

    Overall great experience.

Location is good but very very noisy … nightclubs and a train/metro/tram that shakes the whole building on a regular basis.

They self admittedly can’t regulate the temperature in the room, we visited in November and the room was 26 degrees and we couldn’t sleep. Staff was not helpful - and lied to us. Told us we would have a new better room when we got back. Once back we were downgraded to a very tired room with a minuscule unrenovated bathroom. Was told (lied to) that there were no other rooms available. Was refused a refund and could thus not move hotels. After a long conversation with the general manager we were given a third room - as he told me the hotel was in fact not full.

Loved this hotel! We checked in and immediately struck up a conversation with the front desk staff about the folk museum, which she had suggested was a must. It didn’t disappoint! The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was top tier and walking around the city was easy.

The ONLY thing was hearing the nightclub around the corner and their thumping music on Saturday night. While not horrible, it did keep us awake until late.

This is amazing hotel . It ‘s like an art gallery and it’s absolutely stunning and I am very much impressed and enjoying staying in this hotel . A lot of great pieces . Food is also amazing . The design of the room is amazing the cozy couch connected with the bed and the cushions can be put on the couch it’s neat and cozy . In my room there is a corner space used as both study and closet and it made the room feels like an ensuite . The size is ok but the layout is really amazing . I love this hotel . It’s a surprise . And 10 out of 10

Great Staff, specially Alex, Jørgen and Hendrik. Unique and comfortable hotel very well located.

Lobby and entrance were very busy, filled with people that were not staying at hotel, to use the small bar

We just completed a 3 night stay at Hotel Christiana Teater. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and they were able to off secure luggage storage while we went out and explored Oslo. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance to multiple nice dining and shopping options in addition to tourist sites and public transportation. The area was very quiet and relaxing with a park across the street.Public and museum ferries a 5 minute walk.Rooms were large and had all the amenities expected. We voluntarily opted out of daily cleaning and they make a small donation to unicef as a result.Breakfast was fantastic and we looked forward to it each day. The staff does an excellent job in preparation. The restaurant serves only Pizza and it appears to be very popular with locals as well because it was filled with customers every night. We enjoyed the location, solitude and hospitality.

Amazing location. We were surprised to find a major underground train station at National Theater just a block away. There is a direct, 20 minute train to the airport. Also a block away is the major shopping street. We were able to walk everywhere. It is a very lovely property, the breakfast buffet is incredible. Be sure to walk the stairs to enjoy the artwork and bronze sculptures on each floor. We had a huge, modern room.

Central location, super friendly staff, breakfast and comfortable beds.

Some rooms are spacious and light, but there are some rooms that are smaller and dark.
