    Pros +

    • The location was great and walkable to everything. The staff, I was able to talk with, were nice and helpful. The room is clean and the beds were comfy. All-in-all the hotel was good for one night.
    • The location was perfect. Great restaurants right in the area right by the ferry so you can go to other places quickly perfect location if you’re going on a cruise or you want to explore Italy because the ferries are right there.
    • Nice hotel to stay in the center of Napoli. The staff is very kind and helpfull. The breakfast room is amazing and the breakfast is good.

    Cons -

    • Checking in on a Sunday is not recommended. The staff is low...understandable...which makes communication difficult. We were not a fan of the large glass window at the end of the shower facing the bed.
    • The entrance is weird. It’s an eighth floor start. You gotta walk down an alley into like another spot to get to the smallest elevator in the world to get to the floor. The hotel starts at the top of this building.
    • The advertised fee ride to the airport was not available. We had to hire a taxi at 40€

Clean contemporary room with view of the city. Close to the metro and sites.

The location was great for experiencing all areas of Napoli. We also enjoyed having a room with a terrace and jacuzzi as we used it daily. The AC was great during the July heat.

The water pressure in the shower was not strong which made showering difficult.

The hotel was clean and in a great location to visit museums and historical sites. The morning breakfast was very good too.

    I had no dislikes.

    9MarianPosted on: 6-8-2025

My stay was great. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and pleasant ( just a slight language barrier). The only issue I can say I had was that Antonio over charged me for his services. 35.00 to pick me up at the airport and I tipped him once we arrived at the hotel he helped walk my luggage across to the port and overcharged for that and then to take me to the airport he charged me 50.00. So that would be the only negative thing I could say about my stay. Oh almost forgot, upon my arrival the manager did upgrade my room. The room was very cozy.

    Better transportation

Staff was very friendly & helpful. Location was excellent right near Castle Nuovo with many eating options. Hotel serves a very nice breakfast. 5 min walking distance to hop on/off buses. 10min walking to Beverello ferry terminal. Only 25min walk to Archeology Museum.

Right off the main street leading to Castle Nuovo so evening road noise should be expected until 10pm(?) or later. Unlike 802 with a full bathroom, 803 had a "wet. bathroom" which is an adjustment for Americans.

Our room was very nice with a comfy bed and pillows and several extra touches like slippers that we appreciated. The bathroom was well appointed with a large shower, bidet, and toiletries. Martina and Pasquale were very professional and helpful before we arrived, at check-in and with advice throughout our 2-night stay. The location was walkable from the port which is what we wanted coming off our cruise, as well as close to the airport for our early morning flight after two days touring Pompeii, Vesuvius and the Amalfi Coast. Our tour pickup locations were within a few minutes walk as well. The rooftop view in the breakfast bistro and bar was not spectacular but probably typical for an intown property and we were glad we could grab a yogurt and sweet roll before we began our long touring days.

To those not familiar with Naples alleys, the hotel seemed kind of sketchy when we arrived. The entrance is in an alleyway inside an old commercial building with a flight of maybe 8 steps to get to the very small, old elevator. Again, it all felt sketchy until we arrived at the 8th floor where the hotel entrance was very modern and secure. Once inside, we were fine with our booking. Other than this, I would comment that the hotel is in a very busy area with some street noise throughput the night, but this didn’t really bother us after we got used to it. Lastly, we thought the bar would be opened in the evening but no one was there when we went. Luckily, a very wonderful restaurant is right outside the hotel entrance in the alley (La Lazzaro) which had delightful service, excellent pizza, pasta, salads and other dishes and a good wine selection.

Proximity to most attractions and the port for day trips on the ferry.

The elevator was a bit small, but this is to be expected for Italy. Nothing they can do about it.

Very clean , staff is great, so comfortable bad. The bath on the roof is so cool, very big and water is super hot . . Perfect experience

Poetica was very clean. The staff was responsive and accommodating to our needs. Impressive security measures making us feel safe.

There really wasn't anything we didn't like.

Wish I could say something positive. There isn't any. It's not a 4 stars hotel. It's a 3 stars B&B, on the 8th floor of a block of flats. We chose it as it presented as "soundproof walls". It wasn't! The Napoli crazy traffic 8 floors down was as loud as in the street. Impossible to sleep. We came back more tired than when we arrived.

Lying about "soundproof walls", no coffee machine in the room, no house cleaning everyday, bad coffee, poor breakfast (more sugar less salty options).

Really liked the Hot Tub in the room and all the staff were really friendly.

Getting into the hotel - lifts were off putting.

I loved the proximity to the port, and local eateries. The view from our balcony jacuzzi bathtub was perfect for a loving couple getaway. Staff was above and beyond friendly and accommodating. The little things like special messages on our morning cappuccinos meant a lot to us too. You are in the middle of city life with a private feel. The entire property once you enter is extremely clean and very modern, especially with security.

Not anything to say bad, just know some people may want to know: mattress is on the firm side, which may not be suitable for certain people. The temperature control took some learning as well, have the host show you if you don’t have patience with menu buttons. If you have a hair dryer make sure you bring the correct converter. I mean voltage, not prongs. Do not bring your 110v hairdryer with Amazon adapter. You need a 220v convertor to 110v. I’m not from Europe, so not sure what the prongs mean, but the one provided by hotel (wide prongs rounded plug) not fit outlets; which had the smaller round holes.

Friendly staff, clean room, perfect breakfast, upgrade our room for free of charge

    9ElenaPosted on: 3-11-2025

The hotel is very clean and cosy. The view was amazing, especially the rooftop terrace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location as well, we were minutes walk from main destinations.

This might be the case with all the properties in Naples but it was very noisy at night. All the cars and motorcycles were honking and as the room is not soundproof, I could hear everything.

Loved this stay was such a surprise to enter the hotel. Rooms lovely and so comfy. Great terrace for drinks. Breakfast on till 11am and late checkout.
