Matilde Lifestyle Hotel

It was our first time in Naples. The hotel was very clean and in an excellent location. The staff was very friendly, especially Anna, who always took care of us. The breakfast very completed, delicious.Room was nice, clean and spacious. Had all the amenities you'd expect in a modern hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there.Thanks for your hospitality

Location

The room is too small.Entrance below all expectations, not even signs for hotel, only small button on intercom. Inside the room is nothing, no phone, no toiletries, and no even shampoo. Be prepared to take everything with you. When I booked through Booking.com and got confirmation, it was clear 2 rooms for 4 people ,but when I came to the hotel, they said it's booked for only 1 person in a room. What a surprise, and first, they asked for extra charge in no friendly manner. After a long dispute with reception, we got our rooms and lived disputes for management . It's not a pleasant situation when you come to a 4-star hotel. Will not recommend it to anyone .

The hotel is in a great location in the Galleria Umberto. It’s easy to walk to many bars, restaurants and sights.The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable with good amenities.The staff are very welcoming and friendly.The breakfast is excellent and the staff are very attentive.

It’s a little bit noisy in the evening from people in the galleria below and from the streets outside.

Staffs were very kind and prepared breakfast for us even early midnight.

Entrance location

This was a special trip to celebrate two landmark birthdays - the hotel more than met our expectations. Friendly staff, great location and comfortable room.

Not a fault of the hotel but at times there could be a bit of noise from the shopping arcade downstairs. It wasn't too distracting though

The staff was exceptionally gracious and helpful. The rooms were very modern, chic, and comfortable. Everything seemed brand new. The breakfast was lovely. The location is very convenient---close to the main funicular and the subway. On a very lively (i.e. crowded) shopping street.

A bit difficult to find, and the entrance might put some people off---it's on the second floor of an old building and the ground floor is certainly not glamourous. The rooms, which are very pretty, overlook the Galleria, so if you are as sensitive to noise as I am, you might want to bring a pair of earplugs with you.

Room could be equipped with additional furniture; location a bit dodgy in the evening; staff could be more attentive.

We got a single room each, which are located behind reception. Whilst I have some small things that could be improved, overall you cannot beat this location. The rooms overlook the iconic dome and piazza. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Unfortunately being behind reception you do get noise carry through to the room, and noise from the large piazza downstairs. I had some noisy children in the adjacent room so I was woken up a few times. Overall it’s good value for money, the staff are very helpful and suprisingly the breakfast was fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay at your Hotel. The central location is an absolute bonus. For sightseeing in Naples and for a magnificent choice of restaurants and cafes the position cannot be beaten.

Wifi in our room was not strong enough for laptop work but the dining/bar area was conveniently only a few steps away and very suitable and available 24/7

this hotel was exceptionally clean the view we had in to Galleria Umberto was so spectacular! The staff spoke very well English and Italian. customer service was 10 on 10. we left our bags with them on our last day to go shopping around Naples and they were so kind to keep our bags for us even though we had already checked out. we will definitely be back to hotel Matilde. grazie Napoli! see you very soon!

Breakfast limited but not a major issue. Would be better to help your self to cold drinks again. It a major issue

Great location, great staff, great breakfast.

A small minus is that we had the window towards a commercial passage and it was a little bit nosy at night and there are some cooking smells from fast food.

Excellent hotel & staff. Very warm welcome upon very early arrival: they promptly checked if the room was available and immediately offered coffee and something to eat. Spacious and very clean rooms. Perfect central location without any disturbance from the outside hustle. Discreet, very friendly, and helpful staff who do everything to make your stay perfect. Highly recommended!
