Cons -
- If I could put zero stars I would!First of all the room that was assigned to us was in a totally different address! 6 blocks away on a hill in a nasty dirty building! I booked for a modern clean hotel not an apartment room in a nasty neighborhood! The room had mold on tiles and walls! Whole room and building smelled like mold, not clean, stains all over sheets and couch, dusty that my foot turned black the moment I stepped on the floor! If you’re one of the unlucky ones they scam and put in a nasty room in a different address you will have no choice, I chose to book another hotel Chiaja same day it is superb versus this scam MH design hotel, by the way they refused to refund me after we complained about the room, shame on booking.com for doing business with a place like this!
- Nothing really!
- The toilet didn’t flush when I first arrived and the shower drain didn’t work, so the bathroom flooded.

The breakfast was great, the staff was nice and the bed was comfortable.
The toilet didn’t flush when I first arrived and the shower drain didn’t work, so the bathroom flooded.
Great location, close to the shops and spanish quarter and the port incase you take ferries. Rooms were big enough and clean.
WiFi coverage in the entire room was not great, and there was no network inside either.
Room run down. Clean but lots needed repairs.
Nice and clean place, central location, friendly staf
Lack of disclosure in the Booking.com ad- the ad indicated that the room was offsite. The ad needs to say there is a 500 meter uphill walk to the offsite location and 53 stairs (!) before accessing the elevator at the offsite location. Our suitcases should have been brought to the room in this situation. Checkout required a return 500 meter hike wih suitcases. The key did not work so we had to go back to reception before accessing the room. There was no hot water (the tank needed to be turned on) and the toilet seat broke free every time it was "fixed".There were no blankets on the bed - we used the blankets for the hide a bed.
We liked the location as it was right next to the Spanish Quarter. The room was a bit noisy as we overlooked the street but the hustle and bustle gave a nice atmosphere to the place.
We asked for a balcony with a view which we got, however we were unable to use the balcony as it had a huge air conditioning unit on it. Disappointing. Another downside was that we were told on arrival that there had been a fire at the hotel and the breakfast room was closed. To obtain our breakfast we were given a voucher to use at a cafe just over the road from the hotel. However the breakfast only included one pastry item and one coffee or tea and did not include orange juice as an alternative. This was very poor.
Breakfast in a local cafe using a voucher from the hotel. Nice enough, but would be much cheaper to book room-only and buy the breakfast myself.
Somewhat lacking facilities, other than the hotel room.
It is a good location, with both reasonable restaurant and transport options available
The accommodation is pretty basic. Other than breakfast there really aren't any amenities. So if what you're looking for is a basic place to sleep then this is a good option
Great location
Our hot water only worked for the first night and morning of our stay and despite me going to reception many times, it was never fixed for the duration of our stay.
Spacious room, balcony overlooking the picturesque road.
Location is perfect, can’t ask for better one!
The area is excellent, there is no fear to go outside at night. All sights within reach, there is also a grocery store nearby. The beaches in Naples are dirty, so don't look at that factor. The staff is very friendly and helps with everything.
On arrival the floor was dirty, no vacuuming. There was a lack of a kettle in the room, but they gave the opportunity to go to the kitchen. Breakfasts were Italian style - pastries, yogurt and coffee (we are used to scrambled eggs with sausages and porridge).
Location was good
Not a good hotel, the toilet seat was broken, the door to our room was very hard to close and when we came out the person that cleaned the room left the door not locked. When we booked the room there said that the room had balcony but our room did not have balcony. We did try to both talk to the staff and send a email through Booking to the hotel but no response.
The location
The room was dark. Facing a courtyard, the toilet was very high When I arrived there was no one at the reception and took forever to find out that there was another door
I decline to fill out this section. Your algorithms are skewed. I've had the experience that they plucked out the one nice word I wrote in a devastating review and used it as a positive review. No thanks.
Unreliable Internet, extremely poor room lighting, toilet that did not flush properly, meagre breakfast buffet, erratic hot water flow, cleanliness not up to standard -- all added up to very poor value for money that offset the value of the great location. I actually felt sorry for the staff who have to work here because many of them were very nice and spoke excellent English. The hotel is very strangely arranged -- reception in one building and rooms in another (apartment?) building. This means the hotel cannot control the behaviour of building residents who left the courtyard entrance to the actual hotel strewn with garbage. I appreciate energy-saving lights but the motion sensors in the corridor need to be adjusted. I walked most of the way to my room in pitch black darkness every time. Inside the room, illumination is very poor. I actually had to use my phone flashlight to see inside the closet and use the safe. The flush panel for the toilet fell off the wall and someone just stuck it back on without fixing the underlying problem. The rain shower did not work at all and the water supply to the hand-held shower was dangerously erratic. It would alternately go cold or get boiling hot. This could scald someone. To top off all the other issues, the Internet was out sometimes and weak when it did work.
Bad
Booked Standard room dependance and thought it was nere/at the hotel, the room was in a private apartment with one of the staff member and my gut feeling said ´Don´t stay. RUN.´´ Didn't even know what i booked, I manage by my own change to a room at the hotel at the first night, the second night i was supposed to stay at the apartment. At breakfast the exact same staff member yelled at me and seemed angry about my choice not to stay in the apartment. I checked out the same morning and booked a hotel via Expedia instead. Booking.com wasn´t able to help me at all. The room and breakfast was poor, a tip don´t book this hotel. book another hotel nere the port instead.Don´t trust 100% at the description or the picture at booking.com,
If they actually put you in the hotel it is a great hotel, but be prepared that you may be put in a random building 600m away from the hotel. I appreciated them eventually moving me to the hotel but it took me having a complete breakdown crying for them to do anything
If you scroll to the bottom of your confirmation email and see the word 'Depandance' you are supposed to know that means you won't be staying in the hotel, you will be 600m up the road, down a dark alley way in a random building that you have to find by yourself. I was shown some photos and sent on my way. There is no signage and instructions aren't clear, and the phone number they gave me to call incase I couldn't find it was disconnected so I had to lug my suit case 600m up and back twice. That room is shocking, the lights turn on and off all night, the walls are thing and it's a very noisy building, most the PowerPoints don't work, the toilet seat was broken and I felt extremely unsafe as a solo traveller. It took two nights and me breaking down in tears to reception telling them I am feeling unsafe and from a lack of sleep from the noise and lights turning on all night for them to move me to the hotel. They did however make it very clear it was my fault and I should have known the word dependence hidden in my email meant I wasn't staying in the hotel. Once they moved me to the hotel it was a great hotel, it was what I had paid the extra money for. In the actual hotel I felt safe, it was clean and the hotel matches the reviews I had seen that made me pick the hotel in the first place.
Very nice and clean, well situated, friendly and helpful staff
Location was good. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok.
Didn't like being in a separate building. No tea/coffee facilities.
