    • Pretty mediocre breakfast. Could have offered more breakfast items
    • Location location locationIf like me you wanted to be close to the alibus stop, the island ferry ports and walk around the historical center without having to sleep in all that craziness AND 8 minutes walk when you leave the opera house. On top of that they eaven got us breakfast at 4 in the morning before going to the airport for a 6:00 flight.
    • Good location, nice people

    Cons -

    • Hallways need an update. Maid needs not to constantly park her cart in front of the elevator
    • All was good for the price. What is luxury? A good bed and a good bathroom for normal people. Tuutto buono

The hotel was in the ideal location for us, right at the port so we could catch the ferry to Sorrento. The room we had was large and had a view of the castle which was an added bonus. It was nice and the staff friendly and the buffet breakfast was ideal, with plenty to choose from.

The hotel was a little old and tired but it was clean, it was a bit expensive but we did stay just one night in August in a family room.

Due to our flight being canceled at 11 p.m., we needed to find a place for a late-night check-in quickly and this place was just what we needed. It had a convenient location and a good breakfast in the morning, including eggs, coffee, pastries like croissants, ham, cheese, juice, and more. We slept well, and the staff was very nice. Our flight the next day was in the evening, so they allowed us to store our luggage, giving us extra time to explore the city. The location is excellent, with the metro nearby and a convenient bus station for the airport. Nothing fancy, but it definitely met our needs.

Everything was okay. Although we stayed for only one night, I can imagine staying longer without any issues.

Convenient location near the metro, clean and spacious room.

Loud corridors and the room needs some art or colour!

    8SantoPosted on: 4-29-2024

Good location. Easy walk to wherever we wanted to go.

Property could use an upgrade. Staff is great, the morning buffet was very nice. But their hands are tied when an issue arises

Excellent location, clean room, friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast could have had more choice but was ok for a short stay. A bit inconvenient that the elevator did not arrive at the floor but bags had to be carried up some steps.

Great location, clean rooms, decent breakfast, handy “bar” available

No bin in room and could have done with some extra pillows

    7AnupaPosted on: 8-22-2023

great location, small hotel. Despite location in a busy area traffic noise was less than expected. Front line staff helpful and kind. Larger rooms than expected.

small shower with the shower faucet unfortunately positioned so that the shower space was a bit awkward.

    8LauriePosted on: 8-15-2023

The room was clean upon arrival and then cleaned daily. All facilities in the room, such as the fridge, air conditioning and TV worked well. The location is right next to the port and metro line and a few minutes walk from the bars, restaurants and shops. The staff were attentive and pleasant.

    Location

The “hotel” welcomes his visitors through a corridor that they call ‘a hall’. The reception is a small desk on one side of that short and claustrophobic corridor, and that’s it, that is the hotel entrance,Everything around you screams “made a mistake this time!”, but you prepaid, so must see it all.The receptionist, a man in his fifties waiting for his guests smoking a cigarette at the entrance, a tiny aperture in a peeling wall with this lying 3 stars sign on top, is probably the slowest computer typer of this world. There is an inefficient air conditioner in the “hall”, unable to bring the temperature below 28: you wait there good 20 minutes for your passport data to be typed into the system, one finger down every 10 seconds. There is no breakfast area, you realise, and no wifi. The best facility you can see is a vending machine for soft drinks stealing further space off the same tiny corridor. You finally get your keys (just one per room, two would be luxury), and go use the lift to reach your room. The lift is for no more than 2 people + luggage, so your family of 4 must split the journey in 2 waves. The lift door opens up and you’re sort of hit by a flush of hot air like from an oven: there is no air conditioning, and July 2023 is a very hot summer in Naples. You get to your room through tiny corridors with old and stained walls and carpets. There is air con in the room, fortunately, but it’s as noisy as a helicopter during take off. Impossible to sleep with that machine on, and impossible to sleep when off, it’d be too hot. There is no wardrobe as such, it’s just an open frame made of cheap wood. The bed is a tubular frame with no headboard. The bathroom must be 40 years old, the shower box with plastic doors probably more.Disheartened, you leave your two teenage girls there wondering “is this place safe? What kind of guests can a place like this, in the centre of a city like this, would have?

Room very clean and the staff where very friendly.

Lift doesn't go to the top floor where our room was located.

    6UnknownPosted on: 5-26-2023

It was clean with a decent size room. great location and friendly staff.

It was on a very noisy street. As there were no “do not disturb signs” staff were banging on the door speaking Italian early in the morning. No hot breakfast either.

Clean, comfortable and great location for port Beverello and Spanish quarters.

A little dated but you get what you pay for.

Location is perfect, right near the port.Staff is friendly and very nice.Good coffee

Breakfast is not great.Very noisy surrounding, but I think it's the city itself, everywhere is very noisy.

Booked to be close to port. Only 5 minutes walk. Excellent pizzeria a few steps away. Room was basic in all aspects but big.

Lift only went to third floor and our room was forth so had to carry cases up 3 flights of stairs

    Horrible start to a holiday

When we arrived at San Marco Hotel, direct from the airport, on the evening of Wednesday 7th September, we were told the room that we had booked and paid for some months before on booking.com was not available due to a large group arriving. We were shown a room instead around the corner up a dark and dirty stairwell in a deserted ‘B&B’. The window of the room was blocked by a concrete wall. The room was not somewhere we could stay, it felt decidedly unsafe and was definitely not what we had booked and paid for on booking.com. We asked the receptionist for the room in the San Marco hotel that we had booked through booking.com or a least a comparable hotel room. He said they had no rooms available and after a lengthy telephone conversation, with presumably his manager, he just shrugged and said there was nothing he could do. We rang booking.com customer service and were told to find another hotel and instructions for a refund would be confirmed by email. This was later retracted with the suggestion that we should request a refund from the hotel. It was an upsetting start to our holiday and left us in a very difficult position trying to find alternative accommodation after midnight in Naples. Other hotels nearby were fully booked, probably due to a major football event in Naples. As it was past midnight it was not possible to book accommodation for that night online.  Eventually at 1.08am in the morning, almost 2 hours after arriving at the San Marco and another taxi ride away, we did find a considerably more expensive hotel room, leaving us very out of pocket, but our only option. We have tried to complain to booking.com but they say there is nothing they can do and kindly finish their email with ‘whenever you need us we’re always there’.We feel little support was given by booking.com and the hotel has ignored our request for a refund. We are largely out of pocket and the start of our holiday spoilt.
