Hotel Palazzo Decumani is a beautiful hotel with elegant rooms and exceptionally friendly staff
The location and the staff were great. The building was quiet despite being on a small piazza.
The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The pull out bed had a metal bar that pushed through the thin mattress making it unusable.
Location was excellent. The breakfast was also very good. Rooms were nice and comfortable
The pillows were a bit hard and uncomfortable and the WiFi was terrible
Location was perfect ?? staff especially Barbara helped us so much and always smiling
Breakfast room was so small
The location was really good, although the bedroom, a junior was dark, despite me asking for a bright room....although maybe that because all the junior suites are located on the same side of building. Having said that it was a very comfortable room, with a very compfortable double bed. And the staff were all lovely, especially Gustavo!
Unfortunately the breakfast let the hotel down a little. Nothing had much flavour, even the fruit compot. The juice was made from a concentrate. Sometimes the flavours were a little off, like the scrambled egg was distinctly fishy for some reason, and the natural youghart had a peculiar taste one morning. So we really stuck to the bread and cheeze...although the fritatta was was nice. The selection was wwide, but it was just lacking finese.
It was very walkable to shops and restaurants
Bus stop in front of the hotel which is good, but the crowd seemed as if they were homeless
Location and room was good. Breakfast was fair
Most uncomfortable beds we ever tried to sleep on
The room was large, and the bathroom was, too. The A/C was good, and the location was conveniently half way between the historic district and the metro stop. The breakfast was also very complete.
Location to old city center. Incredible breakfast buffet. Very quiet at night.
Thought it had a bar-it did not. Not a problem
The hotel was incredibly beautiful inside. Lovely room with marble bathroom with walk in shower. Staff at Front Desk…Rosella, Pasquale and Barbara were lovely and very accommodating. The breakfast staff could not have been nicer….went out of their way to make sure we were happy with breakfast selections.
The location (which there is no control over) was sketchy…homeless sleeping in front of the building. Trash scattered about. The approach to the entrance was less than desirable.
Barbara at the front desk was fabulous - she was helpful with everything we asked of her. Breakfast was excellent.
Not really all that important but the area around the front of the hotel (doormats etc.) could have been kept cleaner particularly for the first impression of guests.
Great location in center of Naples, spacious room, breakfast was good
More breakfast choices, better beds, stuff give better suggestions for restaurants
Absolutely gorgeous. Loved the neighborhood atmosphere. AwesomeBreakfast. Staff in breakfast area and reception so friendly professional accommodating and caring. Room was stunning and bed very comfortable. Stayed three nights and didn’t want to leave.
The shower was good.
Felt like a dangerous place. Very quiet, like nobody else was there.
Place was kept up very nicely, and the people were awesome. Breakfast was wonderful, also as were the breakfast staff! Location was also awesome - just up 1 block and you were at the best shopping and sightseeing areas.
Great Location. Good Value. Clean
The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were a great, spacious for Italy standard and also very comfortable beds & pillows. The AC also worked well. The decor in the hotel is also beautiful and the entire hotel is very clean. From the rooms to the shared spaces. The breakfast was also very good with many selections of hot and cold buffets. As for location, it was just steps away from Spaccanapoli, with great restaurants & shopping nearby.
Neither of these comments are directly related to the hotel, but did effect our stay. The street leading to the hotel was very narrow, so one taxi driver dropped us off at the bottom of the street so we needed to lug our suitcases to the hotel for about half a block. And another taxi had a slight accident trying to get up the street. Also, while the hotel was beautiful, there were homeless people in the front area of the hotel, some would sleep there while others would ask us for money every day. While this is not a hotel issue, it did make us cautious every time we walked out of the hotel.
Best variety of breakfast items. The quiche was amazing. Fresh bakery products, yogurt, meats and cheeses. Something for everyone. The location was ideal for being in the city center but not noisy. And easy to get to by taxi from the airport.
Nothing. Beautiful spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. We will stay here again on our next visit to Naples.
