    Pros +

    • Food was excellent. Staff welcoming . Hotel itself very stylish but comfortable
    • This is such a lovely hotel! It's very cute. My room was adorable. The bathroom was especially nicely outfitted. I love that the rooms are named after literary figures! The location is great. I could walk everywhere I needed to go. Everyone who worked at the hotel was so incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast is lovely and served in a really pretty room. It's just a totally lovely hotel.
    • It was New Year's Eve.The two young men in the bar were exceptionally helpful. They explained that they weren't serving their usual light bites, since it was New Year's Eve. Totally understandable. When I asked for peanuts, they brought me a dish of delicious home roasted nuts - plus homemade bread and butter so I could make a sandwich. Best meal I have eaten in a long time...

    Cons -

    • Honestly, everything was fantastic! No complaints!
    • I loved absolutely everything. The breakfast and the breakfast room in particular were simply stunning.
    • Check in - the lady wasn’t overly helpful. The gent who checked me out and showed me to the room could teach her a thing or two. He was super friendly and helpful

Fabulous location, room, food and especially the staff

It was very small and the room was smaller than I expected for the price point but overall it was clean and comfortable. I guess I couldn't ask for more when traveling abroad.

Great big comfy bed, beautiful decor, attentive staff and very peaceful place to stay.

This is the most beautiful hotel… Honestly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. That each room is named for a writer was the cherry. From the moment I dropped off my bag until checkout, the staff was so incredibly gracious. I took a bath every day using their rosemary/lavender salts. The spa is incredible. The breakfast is top notch with French press coffee brought to the table and such a great menu. Wow wow wow.

I have absolutely no suggestions on how to improve this place or the experience it awarded me.

The Staff went over and beyond to help at all times! The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was big with a bath and shower.

Very friendly staff and rooms were very nice.

Breakfast was poor (Eggs benedict sent back as eggs were hard boiled) Also water pouring through bedroom ceiling from the rain.

The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. Rooms were very comfortably appointed. Rooms were air conditioned.

I made a dinner reservation for Wednesday night: I somehow missed that only small bites/plates were available on that evening - it wasn’t the full dinner menu.

    10MadisonPosted on: 7-7-2025

It was wonderfully decorated, had very helpful and attentive staff, and was in a good location. My bed was extremely comfortable and I loved the bath and shower in my room.

    10KristinePosted on: 7-3-2025

Everything! I had a lovely stay. They held my bag until I could check in at 4. When I got there, they cashed about what time I would like breakfast. The receptionists walked me to my room and they ordered tea to my room. The bed was luxurious as was the rosemary, lavender sea salt soak that I had that night. Bathrobe and slippers too. I felt pampered. Breakfast was delicious! A variety of breads, starters and main items. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was quiet and very comfortable. A short walk to O’Connors street for shopping. Loved it!

My only complaint would be you have to keep turning the sink handles for any water to come out. Seems a bit odd, especially for such a posh place.

The waitress who served us breakfast was friendly and polite. Breakfast was very good. We didn't have any other meals in the hotel. The room was comfortable but quite small.

There is very little parking at the hotel. We arrived too early for check-in, which I know can be annoying, and asked where we could park - we did not expect to be able to check-in. The man who greeted me was not friendly and made me feel unwelcome. He directed us to the hotel's tiny car park which unfortunately was full. Bear this in mind if you book this hotel. Later when we checked in the lady receptionist was very helpful with advice on where to park and even arranged space in the car park for us. There are no tea making facilities in the bedroom, although complimentary tea or coffee will be provided if you contact reception.
