Location is great! Staff too
No elevator…. Very bad
Good location, right at the front of the train station, with all required surroundings of supermarket, restaurants, laundry. A short walk to shopping street and the beaches. Kitchen facilities help a lot too.
No elevator, but I knew this in advance, however the staff did help bringing my big bag up.The toilet can be cleaned a little better
- Very central location, just 1 minute from the train station and plenty of restaurants- Good value for money- Supportive staff, allowed me to build my bike in the basement to prepare for a triathlon event
The area , the staff , the room Every thing
The stairs
This is our second stay at Hotel l'hotera, and once again, we're super happy with our choice. For the price and location, it can not be beaten. I recommend paying the extra for a large double room. The French balcony provides fresh air and a beautiful view of the cafes and bars along the street below. We'll definitely return.
Room is simple, but with recent modern updates with many nice touches that make it special and comfortable. A microwave in a small kitchen area is great. They offer discount vouches for parking. Breakfast voucher for the cafe across the street, but as the host explains the breakfast is not large.
The set-up of the room and amenities is basic, but all very new and well thought out. They added hooks on the walls and a small closet area so that, in spite of the small room size, it was easy to spread my things out comfortably. My room had a balcony facing a small courtyard that was big enough for a person to stand on, and would have been convenient for hanging up swimsuits and towels in the summer. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the water pressure and temperature of the shower was excellent. All facilities were very clean and new, and absolutely spotless after room service each day. I think the hotel took previous comments about the lack of tea and coffee seriously, as my room was equipped with a machine and pods to make nice-quality espresso every morning. The gentleman working the reception was friendly and helpful, and I think the key card system for opening the door of the hotel is both convenient and smart. The location (just a couple minutes walk from the station, but along a side street so that you miss the traffic noise) really can't be beat. I'll definitely stay here the next time I'm in Cannes!
The hotel checked all of my boxes, but I would like to offer some constructive suggestions to the hotel and note a couple of things that potential guests might find important:Since the front desk doesn't open until 8:30 a.m., it might be good to install a drop-box on the wall in the hotel entrance for guests to drop keys before they go. The hotel staff didn't seem to mind that I and another guest left our cards sitting on a piece of bronze wall art in the hallway, but it doesn't have to be that way.Since there isn't any shelf or equivalent in the shower to hold shampoo and body wash bottles, it might be simpler for the hotel if they just installed pump bottles into the shower walls and refilled them (to avoid guests having to squat to the ground to soap up or risk soaking the floor by reaching out of the shower for the bottles). As other guests have mentioned, the room is small enough that you really can't get away from any toilet sounds. For me as a solo traveler this wasn't an issue, but couples may want to keep it in mind. The hotel rooms are close enough together that you will definitely hear anyone leaving or entering their rooms. The guests were generally quiet during my stay, didn't really come back late at night, and I couldn't hear anything once people had actually entered their rooms, but if Cannes turns into a party town in summer I could see this becoming an issue.
The hotel is virtually opposite the station and only a quick walk down to the sea. The room was a bit basic but very good value in a very expensive place. The gentleman on reception was very helpful, everywhere was very clean and although the bathroom was a bit compact everything worked and water was hot. The bed was a good size and very comfortable. Even in the middle of town it was quiet at night and we slept well.
Not much
Excellent location, clean facilities and friendly service.
Location, cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff
Not so much a dislike but the rooms could use a couple more pillows so 2 people in bed each have 2 pillows.
Has great service, staff kindly upgraded me to a bigger room, was super helpful , borrowed me some scissors to cut some tags off my dress . Literally so friendly and helpful . I would definitely stay there again
Full length mirror in room (girl problems lol)
Location Coffee machine Helpful friendly staff Cleaned every day
Near the station and cafes, felt safe as well , 24 hour desk , so important
All good
Location, friendly staff, big and a quiet room
Great location, very clean and spacious room with good size bathroom. The room standards are well above the 2 star (book the superior room) and offer two great balconies, comfortable bed, very quiet air-conditioning and a small kitchenet (fridge and a coffeemaker). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Nice and compact hotel. About 10 minutes walking diatance till main streets. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The interior of the hotel is eye catching. The room was on the top floor. No elevator. Comfortable bed, towels, shampoo, hair dryer, air-conditioning, small coffee machine, Wi-Fi, TV. Shower and wc in the room. We also had a small terrace on which it was great to have a packed breakfast.
The only negative thing, due to the compactness of the room, the sliding door between the showerroom/wc and the bed was almost useless.
Location was great, good value for money
We were allotted a windowless room. If was ok because we weren’t there much, but if you plan on spending more time in your room it may be worth paying a bit extra for the nicer one.
