Pros +
- It's a classic hotel building. Käpylä is a nice area, even being remote from city center. Good thing that the new owner has respected history of the building. Breakfast area, which is the restauraunt Puistola was very nice. Breakfast itself was quite basic. Parking is free in the side street next to hotel during at least weekend / overnight.
- They should tell you before booking that they charge 20 Euro for a dog.A room on the 4th floor is not convenient. Elevator is to small.
- The beds were fine, good blankets not too thick as they tend to be in the hotels and make you sweaty. Room was clean, although not the cosyest.
Cons -
- Room itself was quite nice in concept, but it was quite worn down. Toilet bowl was positioned so that you could not sit there straight. Bed bug check resulted only finding that the bed frame was in very bad condition, stained and smelling terrible (piss or tons of sweat). Mattress topper was ok'isk so tried to forget what I saw and smelled under it since I only had this place for one night. Room had also many sections which were not clean, only the most visible things were cleaned.
- The bathroom could have been cleaner. The toilet seat was broken, wall and door were covered in someone's hair. The check in process with the app on the desk violates so many GDPR privacy rules.
- Many things in the room were not eorking or broken, like the safe was not working, the lamp and also room lock. The hotel room was very messy. Even the walls were dirty, also the couch in the room was sondirty that ir was disgusting to even put my personal stuff on it. Very small breakfast food options, terible coffee. We came at 9:30 and there was almost no food left, although breakfast lasts till 11. Also in the closet was spare pillow, but it was put in trash bag and without a pillowcase. Also room had no phone so we were not able to call reception. We stayed for 4 nights and during this time our room was never short cleaned, towels were not changed as well as bedding.

Great service, Tram stop 1t virtually outside and takes around 15 or so minutes into City Centre. Clean and tidy possibly recently renovated. Great Breakfast. Would definitely stay again
The only thing that we liked was the location of the hotel. It was near the place that we needed to be.

Overall experience was ok. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.
We only got one keycard even though we asked for two. Instead a digital key via app was offered: managed to set up the room details but the door wouldn't open no matter what we tried. The rooms need a makeover and the cold floors were a turn off.
Dog friendly, not far from the center, reasonable prices and really good breakfast
Room was clean and calm, staffs were nice and warm. free parking around the hotel was helpful.
Some vegetables and fruits (paprika, Orange , cucumber ) on the breakfast table were a little bit rotten.
The hotel is warm and comfortable the staff friendly and help with useful information. The restaurant in the hotel was also really nice. I hope to stay there again next time I visit Helsinki.
Nothing bad to say everything was good
The rooms were very comfortable. My stay there was very pleasant. The staff is very polite and helpful and breakfast was very nice. I recommend this place to stay in Helsinki.
Breakfast was good, neighborhood was lovely
Hotels' rooms need a renovation, everything is a bit old and smells not so good. It is a very high price for these conditions
There's a pool, a sauna and and delicious breakfast. Staff is friendly.
My gf slip and fell in the pool as the frame drain cover was broken in the middle.
Easy parking, good breakfast.
Hair dryer was missing and safe was looked but the staff ignored our request to fix them.
Beautiful surrounding area, it's peaceful and charming. There's tram stop just near by that gets you directly to the city centre. Breakfast was just ok - nothing fancy, just basic products. For vegans: oat milk available.
Poorly equipped gym, tight bathroom, it was easy to bump on something.
Staff was friendly, breakfast okay. Very good location!
As said, there was zero soundproofing. I have my ear plugs so I didn't have trouble sleeping but that's a really big issue for some people. I also realised there was actually a gap on top of the door, so no wonder all sounds seemed so loud. These are the kinds of things that should be fixed.
Good location, close to train, bus and tram station, next to market and kiosk, close to historical landmark on hill (Taivaskallio). Friendly and helpful staff, clean room.
Very friendly staff, practical location between city and airport, good connections into the city centre.
Breakfast was very good. Swimming pool was big enough for fitness swimming. Parking was easy and free.
The sauna bath was not enough (perhaps it was too early in the morning).
It was a quiet location. A nice and clean room. The satff was very friendly and helpful.
Affordable place with free parking on the street in Helsinki.
The location is very noisy. During the night you can hear traffic and people in the other rooms. Don't book it if you need a quiet place to sleep. It is a good location if you don't mind a little noise and don't want to pay much.
