    Pros +

    • The decor was lovely. It was a very quite hotel with easy check in (They were able to accommodate us getting off the ferry early at 9am and go ahead and check us in). I would have loved to stay longer in this hotel. The staff was efficient and friendly.
    • Great location in nice neighborhood. Close to central city but not in a crowded area. Large and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
    • Amazing breakfast with wide variety of high quality items in a beautiful setting. Compared with other similar stays during our 17 day visit to Finland, it was among the very best.Great location. The neighborhood is more relaxed than Kaampi. Great parks and cafes to hang out outside just a block or two away, as well as shopping, art and design studios, antique stores and second hand stores.Very comfortable beds. Main room and bathroom both had plenty of space.Easy to walk or take a trolly (one block away) to anywhere. You can buy a one to seven day pass for the trolly, metro, train and ferries and easily and quickly go anywhere without being in the city center.

    Cons -

    • The elevators were narrow and the rooms facing the back of the courtyard didn't have direct, easy routes to get to. One room (not ours) had a wood smoke smell.
    • The pillows were disappointingly flat. We requested some fuller pillows and they brought us more but they were also pretty unfluffy.
    • rooms were very small and there was no swimming pool

Exceptional breakfast! The smoked salmon remoulade and Finnish porridge were our favorites! The staff in the restaurant are so warm and hospitable.

The pillows were disappointingly flat. We requested some fuller pillows and they brought us more but they were also pretty unfluffy.

Very good location and excellent breakfast. The staff were friendly and the lobby was very comfortable and nicely furnished. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a king sized bed.

The location is simply perfect, making it easy to explore the city and access everything we needed. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Special thanks to the Front Desk Manager, Katri, who recommended us excellent restaurants and even took care of our reservation. She is a very pleasant person, and her assistance made our arrival smooth and enjoyable.Breakfast was another highlight. It was delicious and well-prepared, with plenty of variety to choose from. A big thank you to Alina, whose warm smile stood out even while she was managing everything so efficiently during a busy morning service.

One small area for improvement would be the addition of a Nespresso machine in the room amenities, which would perfectly complement the elegance of the hotel.

Great location. Tastefully decorated comfortable room, very relaxing atmosphere. Great breakfast that included local specialties including delicious bread varieties served in a beautiful setting.

An usual nordic art deco hotel, a big comfortable double room (with street view thanks to the kind reception lady who also offered me a complimentary card to play for a drink at the bar), very well positioned, a breakfast restaurant overlooking the street corner with a bistro feeling. Friendly staff at breakfast, helpful people at reception.

The hotel is rather worthy of 4*, not even casual 5*. Far from the top services and the attitude to be experienced elsewhere. Not bad, yet austere. I got assaulted by automatic emails with all sorts of upselling suggestions in between the reservation and the check in. It s exhausting and misleading as you tend to think the hotel is reaching out for serious reasons while it is not.

It's all very tastefully decorated. The staff were all very friendly. The room was comfy, and the water pressure in the shower is fabulous. The breakfast is worth getting!

Enjoyed the breakfast, breakfast staff was thoughtful/helpful. Hotel was centrally located. Bed was comfortable. We found everything exceptionally clean.

Cleaning staff didn't empty trash on one day of our stay.

Loved the comfortable bed. Friendly staff, and perfect location.

    Slightly overpriced

All musts were there: good bed, good shower, very good location (though less of a hill on the street on the side of the restaurant than on the other)Service and staff were attentive and offered advice on the cityBarista coffee available at breakfastRoom doors don't slam so you don't hear every other guest leaving (but the door to the lifts did slam)

The breakfast food was unremarkable. It was enough to start the day, but for a 5* there were some notable absences like fried eggs (also the scrambled were lukewarm when I tried them), salmon (mentioned somewhere but didn't see it) and in this hotel category I tend to find made-to-order included (they were chargeable).I liked that the lift was separated from the rooms by a door, but the automated mechanism that opened it wasn't working from day 2+, so started hearing the door.Ideally the shower could have a handle (few do these days though).

Beautiful property and close to everything! Rooms were clean and spacious and relatively quiet.

One of the front desk staff was very rude....I believe his name is Robert. I felt uncomfortable asking him for help and felt like an inconvenience to him. Laundry services were slightly unclear and I ended up paying close to $400 for two SMALL bags of laundry, don't make the same mistake I did.

    10SharonPosted on: 7-3-2025

We found the staff thoughtful and kind. We especially enjoyed the breakfast which had a wide variety, containing several traditional Finnish items each morning. The location was close to a number of restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning.

Everything about this hotel is outstanding. Lovely spacious room, incredibly comfortable bed, fantastic breakfast including best coffee of any of our 9 hotels on our 3 week Baltic trip. Housekeeping checks room daily to replace towels on the floor and empty trash, even on days when we do not request full room service. Location is fantastic.

Charged 25 Euros for occupancy of room for our arrival 2 hours early,, even though the room was already ready for occupancy.

Great location, very clean and comfortable. You could walk to the main attractions. Staff was really nice too. We did not eat the breakfast
