    Pros +

    • First and foremost, the location of the cheapsleep hostel is fantastic, you can basically reach all the city highlights within a 30/45 minutes walk. Facilities are all right. It's clean, and there are also a good number of small private rooms. You can also buy a basic breakfast for a few euros, and the bar has very reasonable prices for Finland. At this price point it's difficult to find something better in Helsinki.
    • Everything went well, i came at 2:00 a.m. and I was welcomed by a nice receptionist Chan, it felt nice. I got all the instructions from her, the room was cool, comfortable I slept like a baby and everything worked!
    • The whole place looked good, way better than I expected from the price. There was enough space in the showers, and the bed was clean. Overall I was very satisfied.

    Cons -

    • Can't say anything bad.
    • The lockers in the room were metal, so every time anyone wanted to put something in or out, they made a lot of noise. Also, the water from showers flowed onto the floor of the toilet next to them. There was also an unpleasant smell in the showers.
    • This was my 3rd stay and compared to the other 2 stays, the bathroom/shower room was not as clean as during my previous 2 stays

Convenient for airport bus and 24h supermarket. Well equipped kitchen is always available. Shower gel available. Can check in day and night. Good staff. Relaxing atmosphere away from the centre with trams, buses and walkways that go there.

Value for money, they have built a culture of minimising the noise in the rooms.

This was my 3rd stay and compared to the other 2 stays, the bathroom/shower room was not as clean as during my previous 2 stays

Given Helsinki prices, this isn't terrible when it comes to the hostel itself

Employees have very little to no training. Some don't speak English (and they are at the reception), they will keep you waiting forever, and don't even know the hostel schedules properly and just give contradictory information. The laundry is really bad and expensive. In 2h the dryer didn't dry the clothes, they stayed wet and I had to check out and pay for a dryer somewhere else. At least warn people about it.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly service and clean room. Theres also a shared kitchen with everything you might need for preparing some food and 24h grocery store right downstairs. Also easy to get to airport.

    Nothing bad to say :)

Well located with good public transport access. Well lit room. Comfortable bed. Hot showers. The staff work hard to keep the common area facilities clean.the staff were, without exception, pleasant and courteous.

In short, many of the guests treated the common areas poorly. Their failure to observe common decency in cleaning up their efforts at cooking left the common areas as places that were unpleasant to spend time in.Also, the banging of the doors in rooms along the corridors generated quite a bit of disturbance during the nights.

The hotel is accessible and very close to the concert venues

Some double-deck beds are a bit noisy with loose screws

Cheap and ok for a hostel

Check-in problems and being assigned room with boys who were already brought up to the staff as troublemakers. Stay was accordingly

Our room was small but clean and cozy. We asked for extra blankets and they were delivered very quickly. Stuff was very friendly. There is a grocery store in the same building as the hostel and several restaurants nearby. The hostel also has a shared kitchen, which has everything you need for storing and preparing food. We ordered breakfast and it was simple but sufficient and nutritious. There are tram stops near the hostel.

I like community, everyone was so friendly and kind. Even in large room with a couple of people my sleep was deep and quality. Very comfortable and domestic atmosphere.

price, location for my needs, seems clean. Not what I like or dislike, but noticed that a lot of foreign workers stay there...not gonna lie just a tiniest bit of discomfort was felt with how many they are always in common room.

How toilets are right in the middle of common room and there's always plenty of people sitting there.Booked 4 bed room, no other person stayed there for that night so no one got key card, but someone came in there while I was away for the evening ( noticed all the vacant storage box doors been opened instead of being closed like when I left)

    9SaedePosted on: 1-21-2026

Clean rooms, lockers, friendly and helpful staff, 24h store in the same building

    4LindaPosted on: 1-20-2026

    Disappointing

I didn't like everything. I didn't expect there to be a toilet in the room, and I couldn't find any information about it anywhere. The only information about the shower was that it was shared. There were no slippers in the room, so I had to pay 3 euros. The bed was next to a window, which was very windy. In general, the photographs and the real were very different.

Has a nice community feeling. Facilities are convenient.

Could have been cleaner and better maintained. Laundry is crazy expensive.

    10ManishPosted on: 1-19-2026

Everything was good. They gave us a fan as it was pretty hot that day. Supermarket is on the ground floor. Bus stop and tram station were 2-3 min away. Got a day pass from them to travel on any bus or tram for 24 hours which saved us money.

    5Yağız E.Posted on: 1-19-2026

Staff are super friendly. There was a party night with music, snacks, drinks and even board games when I was staying.

Toilets and especially showers are not clean. The dorm rooms could be larger.
