    • Superb Location! Great room and views! Very friendly staff.
    • We had a wonderful Valentine’s stay at Hilton Helsinki Strand, and it truly made the weekend feel special from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, which immediately set the tone for a relaxing getaway. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully prepared the cozy atmosphere and lovely views made it perfect for a romantic escape.Breakfast was a highlight: a generous and delicious buffet with plenty of fresh options. The overall atmosphere in the hotel was calm and elegant, making it easy to unwind and enjoy our time together. The location is also ideal peaceful yet close enough to the city center to enjoy a stroll around Helsinki.Thank you to the team for making our Valentine’s celebration so memorable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for couples looking for a romantic and comfortable stay in Helsinki. ❤️
    • Location, quiet, cozy

    Cons -

    • The cold room at night. We had to huddle together because we were so cold
    • For some reason the AC in the room was not working properly, however, I didn't mind it, as I sleep in low temperatures much better anyway, but I also spent some time working in my room, so it could have been warmer. I was too lazy to report this :)
    • Breakfast still limited. I waited for cheese and then coffee some time. Two kinds of cheese and sausage slices. Years ago Hilton had excellent breakfast with newspapers to read, not to today. The music in the floors near lifts and the main hall is too loud and pop. Avoid rooms near lifts. Why music at all?

I liked that the room I stayed in had a nice view to the river. However, it was winter time, so there wasn't much to see, as it also got dark soon after I arrived, it was still nice view and no traffic noises near.

For some reason the AC in the room was not working properly, however, I didn't mind it, as I sleep in low temperatures much better anyway, but I also spent some time working in my room, so it could have been warmer. I was too lazy to report this :)

Excellent hotel, very clean, friendly helpful staff, few feet away tram station with four lines coming and going to city center. View to the ocean is beautiful.

Great view of the New Year's Eve fireworks from the sea-facing room. It was a bit cold in the room, but the kind staff brought us a small heater. Nice!

Location, good memories from last visit.

    1. Appetizers at the executive lounge during Christmas Eve was disappointing. Quality this time was clearly worse than it was at the same time when we visited in 2023. 2. The restaurant and bar was closed too early in the evening for guests who are away from home and would like to enjoy the evening a bit longer time. 3. One bottle of water costs 5 euros at a 5-star hotel is crazy. There are many hotels who offer them for free. 4. Hotel staff is not very customer friendly for example, the waitress at the restaurant when we asked if it was still open. She was just busy with her own stuff and had no smile on her face. The same with the reception lady whom we informed that we drank two bottles of water from the room. She seems not happy when we told that we thought two bottles were free for us. 5. I still have not got the 40euro deposit back to my account.

    slightly old property.

There was no concierge to help with the luggage , they were not very friendly

The hotel is nice but i wouldn’t recommend it

Location in a relatively quieter area, on the waterfront near Hakaniemi market, and less then 2000m pleasant walk to the heart of the city. Otherwise nearby tram for a few stops, really practical and pleasant. Easy acces by car from airport. No need to get through city center trafic.Welcoming staff at the Reception desk and bar/restaurant.Great choice of food at breakfast, perhaps extra local touch might be welcome.Nice peaceful place to have a dinner (ground foor high open hall with a fireplace), light cuisine well made, day‘s fish meal (!), choice of wines large enough and generally fair pricing.Small sauna area at the top floor (separate for males and females) with access to a balcony for chilling out (backyard vew). Very small but useful swimming pool.

Ongoing waterfront works nearby may be distorbing on weekdays. Violent noise before 8am seems nonsene, because it stopped almost completely afer 9am.

    Excellent breakfast, location, staff.

    9ZoePosted on: 10-19-2025

Great location, easy distance to everything we wanted. Great selection at breakfast and the pool/sauna were a great thing to have after a day of walking

    Air conditioning didn't work effectively.

Nice room with a canal view, big bathroom and a bathtub. Unique looking lobby. As of location is in the heart of Helsinki and next to the Redi shopping center. Parking available for 35e per day. Very friendly and professional staff at the hotel and the restaurant

Maybe the hairdryer could had been slightly more powerful, but it got the job done :)

    8MichaelPosted on: 10-2-2025

I have stayed here many times. I love the locations and the comfort of the hotel. The staff are very professional yet friendly too. I shall return very soon.

The room was a tiny bit chilly at night. I missed the heated bathroom floor but understand that it was quite sunny and warm during my stay.

    4PhuongPosted on: 9-19-2025

Location was ok, close to most things.

When we went to open one of the windows in our room, the small panels almost feel right off! Staff were friendly at check in but didn’t want to engage in any pleasantries in day to day. On occasions made efforts to look away from us to avoid saying hi. Antisocial staff.

    Location

The Aircon didn’t work in the room and they didn’t fix it after asking 3 times

    9MitchellPosted on: 9-14-2025

Sauna and pool were clean and lovely to experience

Noise in the corridor overnight, which was people staying there not the Hilton

    9JackyPosted on: 9-12-2025

I stayed here 8 years ago and enjoyed it ao returned as I knew the area. The room is small but comfy and everything works. The staff were helpful. I ordered food to take to my room one evening and it was very good and the restaurant staff friendly.

    6TracyPosted on: 9-8-2025

    Comfortable room with good shower

Did not always restock very well. Breakfast very expensive with no smaller, cheaper option

    10LouisePosted on: 9-5-2025

Fantastic hotel. Beautiful inside. Atrium up all 8 floors. Beautiful outlook over water, bridges and city. Easy walk straight up into town and Market square with hop on hop off bus in 10 minutes walk and the harbour with harbour cruises 15 minutes walk. Easy for us and we are old. The hotel rooms were very spacious and every thoughtful details. I counted 4 USB ports for charging phones etc. Staff at reception and restaurant so good.

Maybe a soft top on the mattresses .
