Pros +
- The hotel was close enough from the metro station, around 5-10 min walking distance. The room was big and spacious. The glass windows were also big and clean with views from more than one side.
- breakfast excellentstaff excellentlocation and transport good
- I had a great time here. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The room is very sleek and luxurious for the price. The bathtub area is very open, there is no door between it and the bed. There was an issue where the bath robe wasn't in my room like it was supposed to, but that was quickly resolved with a trip to the reception desk.Best part is definitely the complimentary spa. I spent close to three hours there. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere, even when it got a bit busy. It's open until late at night and you can come and go as you please, no need to book a specific time slot.
Cons -
- Would have been appreciated if there was a team to help with the luggage. The breakfast lacks variety and the baked goods did not meet the expectations.
- The bed was too hard, I had to leave after 2 nights. The staff at breakfast were brusque.
- The towels ran out towards the end of my spa visit, I wish they could have been replenished more. Other than that, no complaints. Would love to come back.

Close to public transport (U Bahn and Tram), can reach main touristic destinations.Wellness is more than great, clean and quiet
Our room on the 3rd floor was decent size and felt comfortable. There was an average number of electric outlets. They had a decent inroom coffee maker and fridge. We didn't have to interact with the staff that much, but they were nice enough and multilingual. The location near subway line and Lufthansa express pick up point was outstanding! Briefly tried the spa facilities including sauna, steam room, and showers.
Spa facilities weren't clearly marked but worked ok. Wish they had an ice maker.
Breakfast very expensive. No other options around. Room not clean.
Clean
Staff very difficult to deal with and charged wrong multiple times, breakfast closes at 10am
nice spacious room with a beautiful view, beautiful spa area, breakfast offered a lot of choice; receptionists were friendly and helpful
cleanliness could be better (room service) but also at breakfast (please check the nuts, flaxseeds, mueslis etc. more regularly); flexibility of staff could be better, we wanted to order food at 21:40 (10 mins past the time the kitchen closes which we didn't know) and were not offered any small snacks and had to order food externally. not a lot of restaurants nearby, difficult to find something to eat later at night
Good calm location, definitely a business type hotel but we enjoyed it as a family too. Great sauna and spa facilities. Spacious room. Lufthansa bus (10min walk away) takes you straight to the airport in 25min, very convenient! Fast check in and check out.
It was clean and close to the center.
It was expensive and it had no free parking.
Car Parking was free
AC during my visit was not cooling and the room was too hot and the reception said all the rooms are the same temperature and no point of changing the room. So we hardly slept that night due to the extreme heat in the room so we had to open the window to get some air but unfortunately the weather outside is hot as well plus cars noise on the road that is right in front of the hotel.
Staff Lack of updating your invoices and false info given to us regarding brakefast payment And we check out then they set us later an invoice !!!!!! Like whats going onn
Large comfortable room with all amenities and friendly helpful staff.
Very quiet, clean, great breakfast.
The AC wasn’t cold enough
The breakfast was great. The spa was lovely. The room was stylish and bed very comfy. The restaurant looked lovely but we didn't eat there.
The room wasn't quite as nice as i'd hoped, it was stylish but a bit cold - lots of grey and not enough hooks to hang things. No milk for the coffee. But that's splitting hairs. There was nothing not to like.
Everything was great overall. The only things I didn’t like were that parking isn’t free for hotel guests, and that our king-size bed had two separate mattresses instead of one, which made an uncomfortable gap between us.
Sour rice and 3 teabags for 3 nights
Really disappointed. The quality has gone down significantly. This was my first hotel when I moved to Munich 6 years ago and I really liked it. Now that I'm leaving Germany I wanted to stay here again before leaving. Bad decision. I just felt sad.I had a calamari bowl at the bar. The calamari was delicious but the rice was BAD (wet with a sour smell and taste). How can it be that the rice is not freshly made everyday? It also takes rice AT LEAST 2 days left outside to start looking like that.. so who knows how old the rice actually was. How can anything from this kitchen be trusted? This is really not okay.. Note: I was given a free dessert but I paid full price for the food.Housekeeping was disappointing as well. I stayed 3 nights and my bed was not remade once. On the third day the kettle still had water in it from the first day. I used up the cotton buds and cotton pads on the first night and never got more. There were 3 teabags, I used 2 and never got more - Reception said that teabags are provided once per visit. What!? It's a Deluxe room at EUR 150 per night and I get 3 teabags for 3 nights? TEABAGS! I also found large brown stains on the front of my bathrobe and the cuffs were also stained (forgot to tell reception about this). I left it on the floor so housekeeping removed it but did not replace it. Note : I was given a free drink at checkout when I shared my disappointment but paid in full for everything else . When I first entered the room I was already a bit disappointed that there were no longer any blue accent pillows on the beds and armchairs. After 3 nights and this kind of experience I understand that that is expecting too much to ask. Steigenberger just doesn't stand for quality and a good experience anymore.
Uncomfortable
The rooms weren’t cosy enough. The curtains were allowing light through the top and that is not normal for a hotel room. I had to check out after one night
The room was spacious, modern, and exceptionally comfortable. The facilities were excellent, with the spa being a particular highlight. The location was perfect, especially for traveling with a pet—plenty of greenery nearby while still offering great connections to the city center. However, I found the €30 extra charge for pets to be on the pricier side.
I found the €30 pet fee a bit pricey, but since I was informed in advance, it wasn’t an issue - especially considering the overall stay offered great value for money.
