Hotel Der Tannenbaum

Close to the bus line so it worked great for going from train station by bus to apartment with our luggage. Luggage did have to be carried up about 10 steps, but no problem.

No switch to turn on bathroom vent.

It is a good location. No parking arrangements. The front desk was on the apposite side of the building.

The location was great and it was a very spacious room.

The room definitely had an odd smell. Also you have to check in at the sister hotel around the corner. Not a big deal, but I didn't realize that until I read other reviews. This should be a little more clear.

Clean, central, friendly staff

Lots of space, an elevator, close to the old town and it has a fridge. Lots of windows in the room and heater worked well. Check in at sister hotel round the corner is very easy.

It would have been nice to have a kettle, they have them available for a charge of €10 but I think it would be nice to offer them complimentary if guests want them.

Good location, walking distance to many Christmas markets! Staff were kind, they were able to accomodate to keep our luggage upon check-out as we still have places to visit. The room was spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping is good.

The location was excellent. The room was of a good size with good cupboard space.

As the hotel does not offer breakfast, a kettle would be useful. Some information in the room about cafes nearby would also be useful. The mattress was not very comfortable and could do with being replaced.

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. We had a window and the temperature was actually too warm in Winter so we used the window to cool down our room. The bathroom was clear and nice sized. The bath tub was a good size and the water got nice and hot.

I have nothing to say negative about this hotel.

It's location. It's close to a lot of places you want to visit or a short train/bus ride away.

The room is bare bones. It's a bed, bathroom, TV and a closet. I guess 2 chairs, a small table 2 night tables with lamps. The beds were terrible to sleep on, but the pillows were so much worse. Actually had a hard time sleeping due to waking up with muscle aches.

We had the studio apartment which was super spacious and super comfortable. The hotel itself is in Old town and you can literally walk everywhere. Public transport is a minute away and there are enough outlets of all kinds including cafes and restaurants very close by.

The hotel building itself has no reception and no room service/ restaurant. This was not an issue for us at all but it maybe for some people. The only recommendation to the hotel will be to have some parking space earmarked in close vicinity (even if paid) because parking is a real issue in Old town.

Everything is perfect. Extremely clean and great support staff

check-in during midnight is a bit uncomfortable with a lot of luggage as the check-in desk is located 50 meters from the actual facility

Excellent city centre location.Friendly staff supplied a kettle and cups on request (small deposit given and returned).

We were steps from the Sendlinger Tor and U-Bahn. Room was large and had a refrigerator and dining table - unexpected! Very clean! Good restaurants in the area, many vegetarian-friendly. Short walk or one U-Bahn stop to Marienplatz.

The shower was small, but serviceable.

The property and room were clean and comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for a better location close to Christmas markets.

We have no complaints.

The location is great, very close to the Altstadt, tram/U-bahn are very close, many cafes nearby. Our room was very clean and quiet, pretty spacious as well. It also looked like the pictures.Also, there was a Christmas market at Sendlinger Tor (5 min walk from the hotel)

We had a bed for two, but there were two single mattresses in one frame which is not very convenient. We were ready for that, though, because the beds in the photos also look like that.Also, one side of the bed was creaking.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The location is perfect — close to everything and very convenient. I truly enjoyed my stay and would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

The rooms were big. Travelling as a family of 5, we booked the family room (for 3) and a double room (for 2) based on the room capacity upon booking. But the family room would have easily fit 6 people! The reception staff at Hotel du Train were very accommodating - allowed us to early check-in and also to store our luggage after check-out. Overall, a great stay!
