Lux is about location right in the heart of Munich. Historic charm, the staircase was amazing.
Nothing, we had a great time.
Location and Breakfast good, the staff was nice and very polite.
The Lux Hotel was the last hotel we stayed at, (out of 12 hotels and 1 VBRO) and was the worst. Spent a lot of money reserving 2 rooms 6 months out to be put in the back overlooking noisy heat pumps fans and a filthy courtyard. Noisy with drunk partiers late at night into the early morning (0000-0400). Had to keep windows closed to block out noise, which made it uncomfortable to sleep in, plus fire escape stairs outside window that someone climbed up the first night there. Room was small for two of use to be reasonably comfortable. Shower tiny, barely any room at sink to get ready/cleaned up (no countertop space). Shower drainage slowwww, ankle deep after seconds of water being turned on. We had Room 25, unsatisfactory. Very disappointing for what we were expecting (by the advertising pictures), and a sad ending of a great trip.
The restaurant staff was nice. The hotel staff made sure to leave our room keys at a neighboring hotel since we were checking in late
This was the worse stay we had in Our month long trip to Europe. Did not realize there was not a lift. This was my error. Ended up on the third floor. When we got there and entered. We noticed the door jam was busted in and there was no way to lock our room. There was also a hole in the bathroom door. The shower was dirty. And there was a homeless man right outside our window jamming his boom box until about 4 am. We talked to the restaurant guy the next morning and was told the police had raided that room just 2 nights before looking for a kidnapped woman .. why in the world you knowing the room is damaged place guests in that room? We felt very unsafe and ended up changing our flights back to the States for the next day. Very disappointed in this boutique.
Super cute and great location
The only reason this isn’t 5 stars for me us is spending where your room is the bar is pretty loud at night. I had earplugs and that helped a lot but still on the louder side pretty late. The hotel is really cute, perfect location, and the staff is wonderful. I think as long as you bring ear plugs it’s still totally worth staying here.
The location and staff were amazing. Room was comfy and appreciated the sweets left in our room each evening.
I can be noisy if your room faces the street and you have the windows open We weren't that bothered by it and the windows do a great job blocking the sound.
Location was amazing. Staff was wonderful. Rooms were very clean and modern.
No elevator—so just be prepared for walk up spiral staircase. Loud at night. Even on fourth floor, could hear people talking and yelling outside until well after midnight. Probably the downside of being down the street from Hoffbrau (and above a bar).
Great location in the Old Town. Easy to get major points of interest and amazing downstairs bar/restaurant.
Definitely noisy- likely because of the bar but also just hearing doors slam. Bring some ear plugs for sure.
This place was quaint and beautiful- the staff stellar. The restaurant/bar on the ground floor was stunning. I will happily return to this Hotel.
In general people out on the streets were up until 1am.
Great location. Cleanliness was great. Staff was very helpful.
Street noise made it difficult to sleep late at night and early mornings.
Perfect location to the Christmas markets. Restaurant is so cute and the staff was amazing
Parking was a bit difficult
Great vibes, quiet room SUPER comfy bed.
No big deal but just know there is no elevator
Location was excellent!
Room very small, shower tiny and leaked, no elevator and a spiral staircase to get to rooms
Location, location, location.Nice restaurant.
The shower was so small it made it a chore rather than a pleasure. Also didn't drain well which always sucks.
Amazing location, cool decor, charming and authentic.
Late night party goers on the street below - they do however provide ear plugs for sleep. No elevator. Lots of stairs with luggage.
Unpleasant smell in the room. I couldn't stay more than a few hours. I had to check out at 5.30 p.m same day.
I am yet to get a refund of my money
Spacious room! Excellent service from staff. Received welcome drink at the bar. Great location!
No elevator, however, I understand it’s a historical building and not allowed.
Staff spoke very good English and were attentive. The location In the downtown area cannot be better for an evening out. Breakfast was good and the atmosphere was funky chic.
