Hotel Biederstein am Englischen Garten

The expansive breakfast buffet was great and the staff friendly. The room had plenty of soap, towels, and the blanket was very warm. I loved the balcony. In a residential area so it was quiet. Near public transportation.

Some amenities were a little odd; maybe this is a cultural difference. Room for 1 pers = 1 twin-sized blanket and 1 pillow for a full-sized bed. The TV volume was controlled but was too quiet. I would like to see a kettle in the room for coffee/tea.

Great bathroom, rest of the room ok. Breakfast outside on the patio was delightful.

This is really minor, but there were no instructions on how to heat the room, I thought the only heater was some pipes in the bathroom, but turns out there was also some pipes in the main room. It stayed warm even with only the bathroom heat though!

Quiet hotel near Freiheit and English Gardens. Roomy accommodations, clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. We had only one breakfast (due to our schedule) but it was good and fresh.

Everything was perfect for us. We already knew English Garden location would require cabs. The Tavern on the corner was a really good place to eat. Both owner Seljuk and receptionist Merle were genuinely helpful.

The bed was a little hard and our room was next to stairs and elevator so some noise in the mornings.

Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy and quiet location and next to the park. Very good breakfast.Good when you're alone or with friends. I guess may be not suitable for families with children.It's next to the park so if you like morning jogging then it's the hotel suited for you!

This was the end of our 15-day Christmas Market tour throughout Bavaria. We wanted something close to the English Garden and this is the place although we really didn't take advantage as much as we could have. The hotel is a bit on the utilitarian side and is in a residential district. That said, we loved the room, the quietness, the underground parking, and the delicious buffet breakfast. The price was great. Best part was the wonderful restaurant just at the end of the block; very authentic with delicious goulash and schnitzel. I highly recommend this place.

As mentioned, I was a bit taken aback at the location (it seemed very residential) and the feel of the place (almost like a dorm). But everything was top-notch: clean and quiet. Super value.

Been coming to this hotel for many years. And I feel that they need to update as things are getting a bit tired. Now we came during a heat wave in August and the rooms are quite stiflingly hot. I know having air-conditioning in Munich seems to be a crazy extra. But it really does affect your quality of the stay. They provided fans, but they were woefully inadequate. Opening windows is a huge invitation to mosquitoes.I am holding out hope that this hotel will do some renovations because I love the location. A tough love review.

Pathetic breakfast, no value for money, at remote location, rude employees

The Hotel Biederstein is a welcoming, charming boutique hotel right next to the gorgeous English Garden in Munich. The neighborhood is upscale, quiet and green, and it was an easy ride on the subway - a short walk away - to the center of the old town. The hotel is clean and modern; we stayed in a spacious room with a balcony overlooking the bright, park-like neighborhood. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful in every way. We did not realize this, until we checked in, but our booking included breakfast! And what a great breakfast that was! It proved to be a great start to our energetic days in Munich. Great variety of delicious options, with table service of coffee and eggs!

We just loved staying here. They made us feel so comfortable and appreciated as guests.
