Hotel Mons am Goetheplatz

The location is amazing, it's a really nice neighborhood, there's a lot of bars and fast food restaurants around it, there's the metro that leads to the city center right in front of the hotel, and you can also walk to the center. The room was cozy and really clean, we had cleaning services every day.

Lovely room on the top floor. Loved the minimalistic design of it and bathroom and the bed was also comfortable.

Information about working hours of reception was written in German and I didn't notice that after 14.00 you can't leave luggage. This was very inconvenient.

Well-equipped room, comfortable bed, right in front of the station, great location. I was very well received and assisted by the staff, excellent and attentive employees, impeccable cleanliness, they were very kind and polite. I loved my stay.

Was loft bedroom on 6th floor and could see far out from window. They were kind to allow us to leave our luggage when we checked out to explore for the day.

Shower water ran onto bathroom floor after shower so had to mop up with towels.

Easy to find and clean overall

It wasn’t easy to have information after hours, they should better specify which number to contact through WhatsApp. Also the messages I have received on booking were all in German, I would advise to write and send them in English to international hosts.

-As a solo traveller, I feel safer to stay in a hotel, because I know someone is by the entrance. To my surprise, there is not really a hotel - just some rooms - and the reception was open only few hours in the morning. You access the building with codes, not keys. For three times I saw delivery people coming in and out, delivering food and packages right by the rooms, meaning that anyone with the code can enter at any time. It made me feel uncomfortable and not safe at all.-If you arrive after lunch, you need to check in yourself. I found the check-in procedure annoying and complicated, and staying outside for some minutes to figure out things was exactly what I wanted to avoid. -A soap for hands and shower is provided - no guest kit. only the bare minimum. -The personnel was not interested to ask if everything went fine when I left. not even "bye, thank you".All in all, for such a basic room and no service, I paid way too much. I would recommend other options.

The room upon walking in was very clean and setup for comfort. The staff were a pleasure to talk with and were very helpful.

The bathroom door is a glass see through door so no privacy there but that's really it

The hotel is very well located if you want to go to Oktoberfest. The access to the hotel is very well automated and all contacts with the staff were quickly answered.

The only salvageable thing is the location.

Location was convenient and generally clean

No facilities to speak of. Reception was not open most of the time. Shower broken, beds were creaking loudly. Felt like a hostel not a hotel.

Fine location. Modern design. The bed and room were alright, although a tad on the smaller side. Not much room for luggage and bags.

We were aware that no one would be at reception, but when messaging the property to say we have arrived, as we were awaiting instructions, we suddenly stopped receiving messages and had to wait almost two hours outside the hotel, as we didn’t have any codes. We tried calling, emailing and texting, and nothing worked, so we resorted to calling Booking.com, who gave the property 45 minutes to respond or they’d cancel the reservation for us. Coincidentally, only after Booking.com intervenes, we get a response after almost four hours, at which point we went for dinner. Completely ruined our evening, as we were stuck with our luggage for a while. Furthermore, the room smelled, likely caused by the mould in the shower. When we checked out, the staff seemed dismissive.

We arrived to the hotel and followed the provided instructions for the self check-in. However, when we opened the room door, to our surprise, there were other guests inside. We tried contacting the hotel administrator, but we didn’t have any success. We had to urgently find another place to stay at almost midnight. The hotel communication is very poor.

We liked to find some free coffee.

The room was very very hot when we arrived. The bed sheet were also not adapted for the season.

Absolute avoid!

When the bed is a nightmare, so is your holiday:- this mattress was the worst, it sinks even if you are slim, and you will wake up every 2 hours with a back pain- the bed frame squeeks so hard at every move- the pillows are non-existent, very cheap and crumbles immediatelyAlso:- no glasses to drink water- mold in shower- you have no AC, but also no mosquito net at windows. if you want to sleep with windows open, bring ear plugs, very noisy outsideOverall go find something else..(room 409)

- I received a message via Booking.com from what looked like the accommodation provider saying there was an issue with the booking. When I went through the link in the message, it asked me to pay again. This raised alarm bells for me and so I asked the staff about it. Turns out this was a spam/scam message. It would have been very easy to lose lots of money through this and the accommodation provided no information about how I could have received this scam information from them/through Booking.com. Very suspicious and troubling because it was from Booking.com by both email and in the in-app chat.- no check out instructions were provided.
