Hotel Leopold

The staff at this hotel- *especially* the ladies working at the front desk- were truly exceptional. They were so kind and polite, and made the whole experience really terrific! The rooms are modest but very clean and comfortable, the wifi is very fast, and it is only a short walk to the metro.

Location was great (my dau lives around the corner) and so were staff. I would especially like to thank Paul and Frau Brown for the courtesies shown to us. They were knowledgeable and accomodating.

The bed was uncomfortable because it was too low for my husband, who has mobility issues, and the mattress seemed to be relatively thin and soft. The carpets were old, stained and had an unclean feeling to them, although they were "vacuum clean." We were hot a couple of days, until the weather turned cooler.

No AC in the room. The room was literally burning. The staff was helpful and gave me portable vantilator. But it didn’t solve the problem:(

I hate the dirty wall...

I did not like the carpet in the room. Scandinavian hotels got rid of carpets 30 years ago due to the allergies and cleaniness. wall to wall carpet is just awfull. They did not provide non allergig rooms.

After check-in, I used the bathroom, only to notice there were no hand/body towels. I suppose this was just a mishap. Reduced my points, as one of the hotel staff actually expected that I would wait at the reception to get my towels and would return them to the room, although it was obvious that I was on the way out

Good location (20 mins or so from city centre), friendly staff, and great breakfast :) also the hotel interior is really cute, vintage style

It would’ve been nice if there were a kettle in the room for warm water… although you can get some at the breakfast bar in the morning!

The staff were very friendly from the moment we entered. The Hotel (and rooms) were very clean. There was a very good selection of food for breakfast. It was located in a very nice part of Munich with great transport connections and lots of bars, restaurants and cafes close by and also in walking distance to the Englischer Garten. And even had a nice small bar to chill out in, after a day of exploring Munich.

No complaints at all, but coffee facility in the room would be nice.

Hotel Leopold has the nicest, most helpful staff there is. Everyone is so kind and helpful should you need support. The room and bathroom are clean and you will find all necessary amenities. The breakfast buffet is varied and food is great quality. Trams and busses stop right across the street and the closest subway station is 1 bus/tram stop away or a small walk. The neighborhood is really nice and has loads of shops and restaurants.

I had a small “spider infestation” issue, but it was quickly solved by the Leopold staff and spiders are not dangerous, just disgusting and horrifying if you are arachnophobic as myself. I believe the phenomenon was caused by summer weather and the room being on the ground floor, because it did now happen the last time I stayed at Leopold’s.

There two people on reception and bar were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is priced aggressively but has a charming retro feel to it that make it really work. Breakfast was good value and excellent. This hotel should market its retro credentials. People would respond. Great parking garage also

The breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice and many fresh fruits and fresh made eggs. Excellent coffee. The staff was so helpful and the location was in a very nice part of the city.

My toom was a little small but well designed.
