Sorell Hotel Rütli Niederdorf Zürich

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is walking distance to the train station even with luggage. The room was spacious and the service from the front desk receptionist was exceptional.

Clean up service. Used glasses and cups were not removed, however, fresh towels were provided and the bed was made.

How close it was to all the things to do and train station. The breakfast was good and the people working at the dining area were very nice.

We checked in and the room was extremely hot. We went down to the front desk and asked if we could change rooms and the employee was not too friendly and said that all the rooms a/c were the same and that they didn¿t have another room available. NOT HAPPY

Fantastic, exceptional breakfast food with friendly service. Great location.

Great location, clean, friendly staff, good variety for breakfast, the lobby was comfortable and complimentary hot drinks when we got back to the hotel.

Bed was hard and room was too warm. Shower needed some maintenance. Soap dish was broken off and the seals were hanging loose.

The location of the hotel was very good, very easy from Zurich HB and other transports to and from hotel. The breakfast staff was very good and breakfast was a very good. Hotel staff was very service oriented, addressed our needs and addressed issues with room very quickly.

The hotel room as little smaller than excepted, but workable. There is no air-conditioning in room and a little noisy sometimes when window was open. There we a number of small issues that were addressed by the staff; room was warm, so they provided a good size fan, the safe was not operational until fixed the next day, pants hanger was broken and replace quickly, couple of other things needed attention but quickly addressed by staff. There were no power outlets next to either side of bed, so moved phones and watches to table... a little inconvenient but made it work.

Breakfast was fun and a nice new experience. Coffee made to order quickly was definitely a perk. The location to walk to so many places plus being close to the train station was the main attraction.

If you are looking for a hotel that is quiet but close to the train station, the Sorell Rutli is a good option. We upgraded from the basic room which I recommend doing. The room is still small but doable with a 2 chair sitting area. Bathroom is miniscule but has a nice ledge for your essentials. Housekeeping staff are exceptional, especially the lady on floor 4 on October 19 and 20. Front desk staff are very personable and helpful also. Location is at the start of the old town area but only 5-6 minutes walk from train - easily accessed over the main bridge from station, very few cobblestones. Google took us some convoluted way over a walking bridge - a supposedly9 minute walk but with a cobblestone walk and then up a hill. It was longer with suitcases. Look at the map and go the sensible way. It is perfectly safe with crosswalks, flat terrain and few cobblestones.

Common area is small. Breakfast is average.

The location is great, the breakfast is very good, everything is new and clean.

It was extremely hot at night - we barely slept. It is loud if you open the windows, and with them closed, it is super stuffy. The AC was blowing warm air even when set for cold. The blankets are extremely hot. Everything is amazing but we had a very poor sleep due to how hot it was, which negatively affected our experience overall.

crazy small rooms. you can’t even move or get around the. filthy old red carpet in the hallways. cant see how the high review score on booking.com is justified. rooms are modern and clean but ridiculously impractical. no bathroom door, lots of shortcuts inappropriate for real travellers.
