- I had a truly memorable stay at The Dolder Grand. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional! The design and atmosphere of the hotel stood out immediately. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and it's so quietOne of the highlights for me was the spa and wellness area. It exceeded our expectations regarding the spa amenities cause they have a lot!The views from the hotel are also worth mentioning most especially during mornings having breakfast at the breakfast room.Location was great too: it felt peaceful and exclusive, yet still convenient for getting into the city center.Overall, the combination of top-notch service, elegant design, outstanding spa facilities, and beautiful views made my stay at The Dolder Grand truly special. I highly recommend it to anyone!!
- The hotel's architecture and location are superb.
Cons -
- Bad service by itself Wi-Fi was working very unbelievably bad whole time (management didn¿t care really). I received more than 20 disturb emails from them. Impossible to have lunch!!! ( fully booked )Hotel is not really in the city.
- overpriced for what they offer, old and not very clean, most things in the room did not even work due to lack of maintenance. restaurants weren’t the best but still overpriced and it felt like they were trying to squeeze as much money from you as possible.
- The only thing I didn’t like? That I eventually had to check out.

The room was compeletly different from our before booking , “it was bad smell” . There were insects coming in while we opened the windows.
The hotel's architecture and location are superb.
The breakfast food was terrible. The spa was closed. A girl at the reception added a few hundred francs extra to my bill for my stay and argued with me even though everything was clear, eventually admitting she was wrong. I spent at least half an hour at the reception with her trying to figure out the error and I was in a hurry to leave.
This is a beautifully designed hotel featuring very modernly furnished rooms with exceptionally comfortable beds. We particularly enjoyed the great balcony that overlooked the lake. The indoor pool was a lovely amenity, although a touch cool for spring swimming. The outdoor jacuzzi, however, was excellent. Breakfast was a definite highlight, offering a wide and impressive variety of both cold and hot dishes, including some interesting special menu items. We also had a great dinner experience at the Saltz restaurant. A special mention must go to the concierge, who was incredibly helpful in securing tickets for the chocolate museum tour for us, even after we found it fully booked online.
The only downside to this otherwise exceptional hotel is that it is on the pricier side.
The Dolder Grand isn't a 5 star hotel. In fact, I'm not sure it's a hotel at all. It's more of an experience. It's clearly not 5 stars when you compare it to many other 5 star hotels. It's 6 or even 7.Dolder Grand team goes above and beyond in making every guest feel special. We enjoyed our stay at TDG immensely and are definitely coming back.
Pillows clearly can be more comfortable, we struggled with them.Somehow when you ask room service for a bowl of grapes it can cost EUR50, hence if it's important to you make sure you know the price before making custom requests. The upside is that they will execute your request with perfection.
Not worthy the price we paid. The food was so expensive. We also booked this hotel for the indoor pool and our 9 year old couldn’t use the pool because it’s part of the spa and you had to be 12 to use that area. That ruined the experience for us.
First class hotel with amazing facilities and a unique location offering stunning views over the city, the lake and the Swiss alps. Yummy and innovative breakfast buffet.
Not up to scratch
Recently they have not met the very high standards they previously did. Food not as good as normal, service a bit sloppy, a few corners cut here and there.
Excellent spa, Excellent breakfast, the staff is very helpful. A modern room with a beautiful view to the lake. The hotel has a shuttle to the old city, also there is good Public transportation to the city next to the hotel. the hotel is very clean.
Spa, lake and city view, breakfast, room, service, everything was exceptional!
It is beautiful and looks like an art gallery. The room and restaurant were nice.
It was noisy in the evening until midnight, probably because of a Friday evening parties in the restaurant downstairs
Positive: spa, very friendly staff, room set-up, restaurant. Our toddler loves it very much.
Could have room to improve: (1) the kids' room is only a standard hotel room that was transformed, which means the space was really limited. Compared to other 5-star hotels, there could be a dedicated high-ceiling kids room with more functions. (2) The hotel lobby bar was REALLY crowded in the afternoon and it was difficult to get a table even as a hotel guest (as it is not possible to reserved). Probably one of the restaurants can be opened as an addition for hotel guests?
Im impressed. Till till this time it's my favorite hotel. I would to come back again. This hotel has a wonderful spa where you can find everything you need or you want even a solarium. Hot pool outside, everything you like. Service cleaning two times a day. İn the evening cleaning they left you some chocolate. İt so sweet. Location is perfect.. The Bahnhofstrasse and the center is about 3km. The hotel has His own Station is Dolder Station. So you can go to the city by train or shuttle. The meal is so gurme and tasty.Thank you for everything ?.
Spa
Broken TV, bad front desk service, long waiting times for dried out food at room service
Near the forest and amazing facility. Food quality is very good, the massage is great.
Long waiting time for breakfast, room wasn't cleaned on day 1 until 4pm, water wasn't filled up and then brought the wrong water, staff overworked and tired. When bringing it up to the staff, the said they are sorry and they are tired and overbooked with work. I had the impression that the facility is too big to be profitable, so they are understaffed with low performers.
The property was first rate. The location was magnificent with an unbelievable view, an extraordinary blending of traditional and modern, many choices of amenities- cafe, outdoor seating with heat and lap robes, ice skating rink, spa, lovely restaurants and cozy bar. Very family friendly! We had an amazing stay.
We loved the property
The hotel building is beautiful with a well-integrated more modern section. The pool was beautiful with high stone walls and shimmering lights off the glass and pool.
The food was sub-par! Pre-prepared meals for rooms service rather than freshly made which was also experienced at New Year’s Day brunch where dishes from breakfast were re-used for example cold cut meats and cheese. This was by far the most disappointing aspect of our short stay. The waiters also seemed untrained and didn’t follow basic etiquette which again is no big deal but shouldn’t happen if you charge these prices. The restaurant’Salt’ also needs a deep clean as the carpet and cushions are not clean.
Great location, comfortable room, good spa
For the price, I expected higher levels of everything. Lacking attention to details.
