Renaissance® Vienna Schonbrunn Hotel

Very receptive and helpful staff. Location is perfect for getting around Vienna.

The wait time to check-in and check out was very long.

The location of the hotel is central and right next to the train station that connects you to lots of tourist attractions.

The room decor was a bit weird and no daily complimentary water.

The staff was very helpful with maps and directions and reasonable parking fees.

The noise from upstairs and outside the room. Poor selection of English TV channels. Incompetent front desk staff. Cost of dining.

The hotel did not provide the airport shuttle service as mentioned in the booking. I made my booking considering shuttle service to the airport. I showed them booking with shuttle service they flatly refused. I had to pay 30 euros for taxi to airport.

The rooms were clean and well designed.

The location and the staff. The hotel itself is fine however the location restricts you from walking to many destinations and attractions. Public transportation is required. The staff reserved the hotel shuttle and shuttle left early to accommodate others

Everything is after the renovation - new and beautifull. Quite big TV in the room. Nespresso machine. WIFI is already free in all the hotel. 2 PC in the lobby with printer (almoust always free). The hotel is near the Meidling Metro Station.

No balcons, NO swimming pool (it was before the renovation). A little bit far from the city center (but the metro is fast and really near the Hotel).

The room is comfortable with all amenities. The hotel is about a 25min walk from Schönbrunn Palace, we used a taxi to avoid the cold but knew that before booking

The hotel was typical of a Marriott-owned property. Simple, physically on the older side, but clean.

The snacks and drinks for sale on the ground floor was high-priced. Much more expensive than at the airport. The breakfast offerings were quite expensive as well. For Euro 14.00 all I got was a small coffee, a tiny glass of juice and 4 small pieces of bread with 1 very small bottle of jam. I would have loved to have some kind of cheese and butter as well.
