- My room at the Brauhof Wien was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. It was literally spotless. I cannot imagine how much time the cleaning service puts into making the rooms look the way they look. Thank you! The room in the beautiful old building provides an authentic Viennese experience, it has a hardwood floor, an exceptionally high ceiling and huge ceiling-high windows that can be opened in full (using the authentic old mechanism). These windows, of course, provide lots of natural light. The room is also modernly equipped - it has a modern wardrobe (huge, even though the room was for one), a large writing desk, a huge TV (I especially appreciated that the TV could be moved - I could watch it from different parts of the room). The wi-fi was stable and good throughout my stay. The bedding was warm and the heating was sufficient. It could be regulated from within the room. Last but not least, during my two-night stay I communicated with three different staff members at the reception desk, and they were all equally wonderful, highly professional and efficient. The level of cleanliness and the excellent staff would be enough to recommend this hotel, but it has many other bonuses. I did not try the food and the beer, maybe next time!
- Comfortable spacious room with all the amenities you'd expect. I liked that the bathroom had windows and let in the natural light during the day. The breakfast was very good, wifi was fast and reliable. The hotel is well-connected to all major sights in Vienna and super convenient if you're arriving from the Westbahnhof station. Friendly staff. A restaurant/brewery downstair is a plus if you don't want to go out far to have lunch/dinner.
- Room Is nice and clean. Good location. Many restaurants around
Cons -
- This is not something that bothered me, but it should be mentioned. It is true that at times it takes ten seconds or so for the warm water to come, but this is normal in an old building. If you wish to appreciate a genuine experience, this is a small price to pay. It is also true that there is no soundproofing, but the building is beautiful and old and I suppose it would be very difficult to have it soundproofed. It would also ruin the muffled sound of the Viennese wind that can be appreciated in a warm room :-) If someone is a light sleeper, they can bring earplugs in case there is some noise. The possible sounds of neighbours in the hotel building are not a reason to miss out on this great experience.
- The fruit selection for the breakfast could be somehow better.
- I do not recommend the hotel. The only positive thing is the large, clean, stylishly furnished room and bathroom. But that was the end of the positives for me. When booking through booking, I ordered a room with a balcony and I also received a confirmation with a description of the room I ordered, and even there a balcony was mentioned in the description of the ordered room. I didn't get that one though. After asking at the reception, I was told that only some rooms have a balcony and they are assigned randomly. Apparently I didn't want a balcony. But why should I have a balcony in the request, when the description of the room with a balcony was in the hotel offer and I ordered it? I consider this to be cheating the customer. Another thing I didn't like is that there are no curtains or blinds in the windows. Blackout curtains only. So you can see into the room from opposite windows. There is also a window in the bathroom, although it is opaque there, but it is not covered in the upper part, and some parts of the bathroom, for example when you take a shower, can be seen from the windows of the house opposite. The room is completely dark in the evening, the lighting is not sufficient, I had to use my phone to light it in the wardrobe. A television is set up on the desk. The desk doesn't have a lamp, so you can't work. You can hear footsteps from the upper floor, it really disturbed me a lot. Mattress too soft. The luggage room is a room in the hall where anyone can come, no check for example a ticket, nothing. Really disappointing

Location. Staff were friendly.
In the room floor was Parke no carpet. This meant walking from shower to room with wet feet. No possibility to make tea.9
Nice staff and good location. All clean and proper.
The room (single room) was very small
The location is very convenient to move around with metro and tram. But still, the Westbahnhof area is not the best district if you are looking to feel the authentic vibe of Vienna. For us price/performance factor was a priority as we knew that we would just come back to the hotel for a sleep. Which was a very good choice regarding this. The hotel has a very nice beer hall and a restaurant and they are making their beer. I am personally satisfied with my experience at the Brauhof Wien Hotel.
Great location (10mins walk away from Westbahnhof), good room facilities with complimentary water and toiletries provided. Supermarkets and pharmacy is nearby, with some late night eateries around the vicinity.
The hotel isn't suitable for wheelchair users or travellers carrying heavy suitcases or strollers. There is only one lift in the entire building, and it was out of service upon my arrival. Had to lug my suitcase up 2 flights of stairs to get to the 2nd floor where my room was located. 3 nights later, the lift was still out of service.
All, rooms, food, all
it was cold, I asked reception 2 times to increase the temperature in the room, but no success. It was the same last time, but temperature was increased.
Room was clean and location was really good ?
No elevator to my floor☹️
It's in a really convenient location if you like to go shopping. Close to the shopping mile and Westbahnhof.
The rooms are not well sound proof, trying to sleep while the people come and goes or even if the wake up early and use the hairdriers was a challange. There is only a curtain which doesn't block the light from outside and it ends reflecting in the mirror on the closet (just opposite to the windows) and makes the room not dark enough. Add a really small bed (sorry, the room is big enough to have better beds, more bearing in mind it's a 4* hotel). The pillows are worn out. Although the room looked renewed the WC Paper Roll holder was not properly set on the wall and fall while changing the paper roll. The room was too dark in the night, the room is too big for the kind of lamps and bulbs they use.
Good location, spacious, modern and comfort room, really friendly and professional personnel. Good bar and restaurant within. Tasteful and fresh standard continental breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for Vienna.
Overall ambience and everything seemed new.
Elevator / Lift was broken which was not ideal for us as we were travelling with a child with stroller and multiple luggage bags.
Smooth check-in, clean, spacious room. Heating can be regulated with half-a-degree precision.
Beautiful building. Nice bar/restaurant. Great food. Very clean rooms. Large bathroom. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Good location just outside city centre. Public transport outside and U station 5 mins down the road. The small free chocolate sweet left on the bed was a nice touch.
We didn't have any view outside our window, just walls and some other windows. We couldn't see the sky. We were told in a message that we had a room on the 2nd floor as we had requested, but our room was on the 1st floor. A tea/coffee in the room would have been very welcome although we did get a free bottle of water.
Very modern and clean room. Bed was very soft and comfy. Shower was very clean. Great amenities and freebies. Restaurant/ Brewery is amazing (go to their website for a few free beers ;))
Wifi was very slow/ non existent at times, View wasn’t great, no tea facilities (not essential but I was disappointed).
Staff and quiet area. Many thanks to Sabrina and sorry for the late review!
Walking a bit more to city center.
The location was great, next to Vienna West Station (Wien Westbahnhof) so all the time i was connected to the city, airport and other cities in Austria. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the check in and the checkout process were so easy and smooth. The hotel inner decoration was amazing it is like piece of art and i enjoyed walking inside. The room was way too large for one person, so you feel comfortable if you have big language. The room was well decorated, and they put water and chocolate as welcoming for the guests. The bathroom was also big, clean and fully equipped. The room was clean too. The Wi-Fi was fast. The luggage storeroom was also large. The price was fair since i booked the hotel at the same day of my stay.
I booked a room with view for inner garden but unfortunately no view from the window. The mattress was a little bit not comfortable.
Well sized room that was comfortable for a short stay. Interesting decor that had a cool vintage vibe. Clean and spacious bathroom.
It is a bit of a walk from the train station with luggage. Room condition was a bit dated and worn. Central heating / air-con system was not particularly easy to function.
Very cozy and modern. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Cleaning service daily
The breakfast buffet wasn’t very good, except the apple strudel, it was delicious.
