Hotel Palais Mailberger Hof

This is a special hotel, very conveniently located near all of the important sights, shops and cafe's and, very important for music lovers, the Opera House. It was extremely well appointed, very clean and comfortable, elegant and modern within a historic context. Breakfast was exceptional with cold and hot offerings. I loved my daily double espresso cappuccino. The entire staff was very kind and helpful. I hope to stay there again!

Overall, it was in a wonderful location, close to everything. They would highly recommend it.

Because it was in the middle of everything, it was noisy and the trash pick up trucks came by every morning at like 6 AM and woke me up, but at least it was clean in the area.

Super nice people and great breakfast and wonderful rooms

Very convenient and clean. I didn’t realize that all doors in the hotel are fire doors (extremely heavy) until and the door out of the lobby and into the door spa slammed on my finger, causing blood and extreme pain. The girls behind the counter didn’t handle the situation well at all. Perhaps there should be warning signs stating caution that door is a fire door and is a very heavy.

It was on a great locations n and very noce.

The hotel was really well located in the best walking and attractions area of Vienna. On a quiet street and nearby restaurants, museums and transportation. My room was clean and quiet. The bar downstairs was also a nice place to get a drink after dinner and a long day of walking and exploring.

The shampoo dispenser was broken in the shower. Otherwise everything was great.

Location was perfect in the city. Walking distance to all of the main sites and subway stations.

The hotel was very well updated with new rooms and updated bathrooms. Great location walking distance to so many main sites and shops. The breakfast was very nice - best breakfast we had while in Europe!

Location was excellent, city center and steps from everything Vienna has to offer. Breakfast was also very good. Staff attentive and hopeful, went out of their way to help us with restaurants, taxes, ubers etc. The hotel itself is a bit dated. Did not have details that we would have expected (no water bottles, no phone in the room to reach the reception).

Outstanding breakfast, with Marzocco coffee which is much appreciated in a hotel, avocado toast, porridge, and top quality cold cuts. Comfortable rooms, great location, what more do you need?

We could not have picked a better location for a hotel that fit our preferences. The hotel is stylish, beautifully decorated, very central - we walked to a lot of the attractions, and when we needed to take public transport, the subway and bus stations were just a short walk away. Tons of places to eat nearby - Japanese, Italian and Viennese cuisine - whatever your heart desires. Despite the central location, it was very quiet at night, we enjoyed restful sleep which was very important to us. Beds were soft and comfortable. My husband felt the beds were too soft but to me they were perfect so it may depend on what you prefer personally. We had a room with a view to the interior courtyard. The staff was amazing, so helpful and friendly. The bar inside the hotel served tasty cocktails. The breakfast was delicious - we had an assortment of cold dishes - fruits, deli meats, cheeses, delicious buns (my favorite was the one with pumpkin seeds), yoghurt, juices, and hot dishes on a menu you could order from the waiters, and tasty coffee. If we return in Vienna, I would love to stay at this hotel again and would gladly recommend it to others. You can not go wrong with it! Sadly I don't know all the names of the staff there but Jana was very helpful when we checked in and out and the staff helping with breakfast was amazing too, as well as the talented and lovely bartender at Crux bar. Also a nice touch was the little chocolates that were delivered to us daily ? The location was perfect. The hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms were large by european standards and the beds (we stayed in different rooms at the beginning and end of trip) were very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. There were many high quality choices for the continental style or you could order from the chef. The staff was super friendly, very helpful and made great restaurant recommendations. We got a dessert on the house at one restaurant after mentioning the hotel recommended them. We loved our stay and will book Hotel Palais again.

Stayed here recently and loved it! The location is perfect — really close to everything. St. Stephen’s Cathedral is about a 7-minute walk, and Kärntner Strasse is only 5 minutes away.The building is beautiful and sits on a quiet little side street, which makes it peaceful but still super central. The street itself has a nice vibe with classic Viennese charm.Everything inside the hotel is well-kept and comfortable — a really nice place to relax after a day of sightseeing.Would definitely stay here again!
