    • Location was excellent and the staff amazing.
    • The staff were very friendly and always willing to assist. The room was very comfortable and housekeeping staff kept it very clean. Breakfast was amazing with a wide selection to suit all needs.

    Cons -

    • The ac was not working and it was really hot and humid in the rooms. Also the room we were in the setup was such that there was no privacy. All the food were glass. There was no real bell man. You had to drink hot tap water and getting ice was hassle.
    • The hotel need love and our room was in a noisy street.
    • The room was tidy but a bit small.

Loved our stay, the room was very well appointed and the classical vinyls in the room with a high quality record turntable made spending time in the room memorable. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea that was available every day at no xtra cost. The lounge area was inviting and the staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

What a great hotel in a quiet and peaceful environment! It is an example of hospitality: friendly staff, warm and cozy rooms! Adding a royal breakfast at a home-like salon with beautiful piano music. We felt like at home and it was sad to leave! Thank you!

Excellent boutique hotel with lovely staff who had perfect English. Nice touch to upgrade us and leave a bottle of Prosecco as it as a birthday trip

We absolutely loved our time here! The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of everything, with shops, restaurants, and sights just a short walk away. The room was beautifully cozy and spotlessly clean. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

Hotel is simply amazing. Stylish, comfy, and location is superb. If you plan to visit Vienna and you do not plan to bring your kids with you (I believe this hotel suits to couples more) look nowhere else. This is truly a gem in the city, make sure you have time for a tea time at the hotel.

Hotel closes the front door after 12am, make sure you have their phone number if you arrive during the nighttime.

Great location, friendly and helpful people, amazing breakfast. The Salon provided a great place to stop and enjoy a cup of tea and to rest after a day of museums.

Gorgeous hotel with good size rooms. Lovely amenities. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options. Afternoon tea was also included which was delightful everyday particularly over New Year’s Eve. Staff were great particularly Nikos who was always making great suggestions regarding food/beverage and was always very helpful!

Hotel Altstadt Vienna might have been the best hotel we stayed at, and we travel a lot. It is very unique, filled with art and beautiful touches throughout. Our room and bathroom were a nice size for two, nice design, very comfortable bed and no noise from neighboring rooms. The breakfast was fresh and outstanding, the salon for breakfast or afternoon tea/ bar and drinks very inviting and masterfully designed, makes you really feel at home. The staff is super friendly and gave good advise on Christmas markets that are a bit off the beaten path or the main ones. Spittelberg is just minutes away and was new to us, as well as the suggested market at Karlsplatz - both with different vibes and excellent experiences. The neighborhood close to the museums is very pleasant and filled with countless restaurants - a great alternative to Innere Stadt. We come to Vienna on regular basis and certainly would love to stay here again.

I loved everything about this hotel - it was like being on holiday in an contemporary art gallery which was one of the reasons we chose it. I appreciated its comfort and attention to detail that made our stay even more enjoyable. I also liked the fact that it was a boutique hotel rather than part of a large chain - and that gave it a unique feel. The staff could not have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were fabulous with an excellent choice of food, including artisan bread. The freshly made omelettes on offer were delicious. They also served homemade cake every afternoon - a definite bonus! The location was great too, just a few minutes walk from the Metro and tram. We are already planning our next trip.

There was nothing I didn't like.
