It was warm, clean and well conected
The bed could be better, but it served its function
The bathroom was spacious and the room in general was clean and comfortable.
There were no power outlets near the beds. No mini fridge either. The room had a very weird smell when we arrived and the walls are basically out of paper, you could hear everything. The staff could also work on their politeness. Sitting on your phone while guests are arriving is not something one should be doing and a hello and goodbye when guests are arriving or leaving would be appreciated by many in the future.
Front desk staff explained what was available at the hotel and gave restaurant recommendations! Room was huge and bathroom too. Got 6 person room but reserved for 4.
Pillows did not have much support.
In a very expensive city for accommodation, Hotel Geblergasse is surprisingly affordable. Rooms are quite large, and the hotel all around is very clean.
It is a bit far away from everything, including tram and train stops. And the hallway outside the room gets a bit noisy.
Amazing room and kind, welcoming staff. We loved the facilities such as the shower and built in shower gel, as well as the heat inside the room. The staff provided us with everything we needed such as extra pillows.
The wifi did not work well at all and neither did our mobile data. Also, it would be lovely if we could've had a mini fridge to store leftovers.
The staff at check-in was kind. There was complimentary refreshment and apples available at check-in. The staff provided a kettle for making tea in the room.
The bathroom was not cleaned well, and the room did not have an A/C unit so that the room was unpleasantly hot (for June).
Great hotel. Location, food, the room. All was super.
Passable
The staff at reception was great, but tell me how come your own staff dont know that there are PEOPLE IN THE ROOM,and man enters the room with card at 17.01 at 9pm while i am in the bed? How can it be possible maybe i am naked? He didnt even say sorry like he should.. i was shaking from fear later.
The room is very clean, and the hotel offers a rich breakfast. Although it’s not included and you have to pay for it yourself, the price is very reasonable.
Spacious, late check-out time, friendly staff. Good price.
Bathroom fan is tiny and broken, terrible ventilation. For the double bed, the bedframe is too small to fit 2 single matresses. So a part is raised over the frame. Blankets are too short if you are 180+ cm. Showerhead holder was loose. Bad sound proofing.
The hotel is simple but clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the heater worked very well, which made our stay pleasant, especially during cold weather. Most of the reception staff were responsive and tried to help when we had questions or requests.Although the location is not in the city center, the area feels safe and quiet, and it is still convenient with access to public tranport
We booked two triple rooms and one double room, but during check-in, one of the triple rooms was incorrectly given as a double room. This was quite inconvenient because we were clearly three people in that room. After we complained, we had to go up and down to the reception several times, and only then were we finally moved to a room for four people as a replacement. It felt a bit strange, as if they were trying to give a smaller room first even though our booking clearly stated a triple room.Another issue was the kettle and hairdryer. It had already been confirmed via Booking.com chat that a kettle & hairdryer was available on request. However, when we asked for it, one of the reception staff initially refused to provide it. Only after we showed the confirmation message from Booking.com did they finally give it to us. This was frustrating and again required us to go back and forth to the reception. In addition, there were very limited power sockets in the room – only one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. Since we were three people with multiple devices, this was quite inconvenient
The room was spatious with 6 beds so all our family could be together. Beds are ok. Floors are clean. It can be darked very well with courtains.
It is an old hotel but the smell of urin in a clean bathroom is a bit off, it is a constatnt smell. Shower has curtains, not doors. But all in everything, ok price for our stay. No foods included.
Excellent value for money. The room and the hotel are neat and clean. Hotel near metro station, very easy to find. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, to be commended. Definitely recommend.
Clean, safe and lovely staff who were very helpful!
Nice window. Comfortable.
A decent, old established hotel, this is clear. Front desk was willing to assist and the cleanliness of the room and hotel in general was acceptable. Pillows were big enough and sturdy.
The word "decent" should not be understood that everything was great. The outer eaves of the hotel was decorated with Christmas/new year lighting however, there were cracks and open parts on it which are also seeable in Google Maps street view. The lobby takes you back to 80's apart from the ban of smoking indoors. Beds are tiny, curtains are holed. Shower cabin doors did not have gaskets on sides so water was leaking on the floor. Must add there was a single rubbish bin in the toilet only.OK, these are not directly affecting your stay but have influence on your review. The location is reachable by public transportation however, if you are not used to live in a relatively colder climate, waiting in the stops could be difficult. Thus, you may consider more taxi use for this location.
The location. Is near supermarkets and tram and subway stations. The breakfast were good and very complete. The staff were very kind.
There were any amenities, neither kettle. There were few products in the bar, not even still water.
It was very clean, the personal was very nice.
It was a bit far from the center
