Appartement-Hotel an der Riemergasse is an apartment hotel located in the very center of Vienna, with a convenient location and a historic elevator. Unfortunately, this is where the positives end.The room was extremely cold. The heating in the bathroom did not work at all - the radiator was completely cold. In the bedroom, the radiator would turn on occasionally and then cool down again, which was not enough to heat the room. We had to sleep in sweaters and under two blankets.The administrator checked the radiators and said there was nothing he could do. There were no portable heaters available. Overall, it felt like the hotel was saving on everything. The renovation is worn, and the kitchenware is old and heavily used.We booked the apartment for three nights for €774. After the first night, it was clear that I could not leave my wife and child in such conditions. We requested a refund. At first, the administrator agreed, but later only refunded €129 (50% of the first night) and refused to return the remaining €645, despite initially saying the money would be refunded. We had already booked another hotel nearby.The administrator was rude during the conversation. We decided not to ruin our vacation and moved to a different hotel. I would not recommend dealing with this property.

The location was wonderful. Dining and shops in abundance nearby. Very walkable area. The staff went above and beyond helping us with anything we needed. Also the property was super clean.

Great location, comfortable rooms with good coffeemaker

Walking distance to many of the city’s Christmas markets. Great for families. Breakfast options. Spacious.

The location was great, near the metro, near to all famous places and restaurants. In the room they put a Christmas tree. They cleaned the room and replaced the bedding every day .

The whole experience was excellent in this property. The staff were exceptional and the apartment was beautiful and had everything we required for our short stay. It was also a brilliant location as it was only a five minute walk to the city centre.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Good location, comfortable room, and a very pleasant, efficient, helpful staff. The hotel is close to a couple of little grocery stores and a pharmacy with pretty much everything you need within walking distance. Lots of little cafes to walk to. The kitchen was a great amenity so we didn’t have to waste time looking for places to eat 2-3x a day. Saves some $$$ too. We mostly bought grab and go stuff, but the kitchen does have a small oven and stove top.They also offer these great little breakfast baskets for $15 a person that they will leave at your door. So if you want to sleep in, they can deliver it in the morning and you can have a continental breakfast in your room.FYI:-There’s no in-unit washing machine or self service laundromat within walking distance (that we could find), but we felt the laundry service was very reasonable at €10 a bag. Most other hotels are WAY more expensive for outside laundry service.

The hotel also offers an alternative option besides the breakfast basket. You can get a voucher for a restaurant a couple minutes walk called the Englander. Honestly, it was just OK. Not exactly a “dislike”. The food was alright, not great. The service was adequate but indifferent. We could’ve been served by a robot for all the personality he had. We preferred the little baskets. ?

The location is great, very close to Stephansplatz. Also, very close to Stubentor metro station and 10 min away from the station where you can take the CAT train towards airport! The station is inside a Mall.

The reception is at Mezanin and you always need to ring a doorbell in order to get in.

The location was perfect for being in the center yet quiet. The staff were very helpful. Our room has everything we needed.

More than one pillow per person should be the norm. Some of the electrical outlets did not seem to work. The lights in the living room flickered when the main switch was turned on/off. But these things did not really affect our stay

Older property, room was much smaller than expected and I missed noticing in the description that there were stairs in the room.

Perfect location, close to public transportation, tourist sites, restaurants and shops. It’s a beautiful old building that has all the modern conveniences.

The color scheme of the apartment and the size of the room was spacious. We were so close to the train station as well as walking distance to the must see places in Vienna.

Wished there were 2 more extra pillows on the bed

Good location in the center of Vienna, walking distance to Stephansplatz, Stadtpark, Albertina Museum and Hundertwasser House and Museum (and other places). Short walking distance to U-Bahn stations. So location is very convenient,Very nice bakery just by (Öfferl - Wollzeile 31), highly recommend it for breakfast.Apartment is spacious (we were 3 adults).

Sitting area in the apartment is OK but not most comfortable (two armchairs). We didn't eat in the apartment but it seemed not very convenient to sit for breakfast (or any other meal) by the table (due to the type of chairs).

Good location close to the sights, but still quiet. Lots of restaurants nearby. Very spacious. There is a stand alone a/c unit that worked adequately - it was 85 our first day. And the window opens, so we were able to let some cool air in the morning. Appreciated having the kitchen, espresso machine, nice bathroom and comfortable beds and chairs. We were given a choice of pillow height - medium was pretty high.

As we unpacked 2 days later, we noticed that a pair of earrings, our ear buds and a pc charging went missing. Are we 100% sure it was the fault of the hotel. No we are not sure.

Clean, amazing location and quiet, big enough for five adults, two bathrooms with toilets. Nice kitchen with everything you need. The elevator is a plus, and also it was nice that the building was classic European. We had a great time despite some drawbacks see the rest....

The single beds were better fit for children, not enough attentiveness from staff on basic things like toilet paper and towels, only one key for all the guests.
