The hotel does not have parking spaces; however, there is a public garage directly adjacent to the property. Each room in the Kaffeemühle Hotel has parquet flooring, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, and a private bathroom. The rooms and parts of the public areas at this property have been partially renovated. Pros +

    • The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated, and when we checked out, they let us store our luggage in the luggage room for a few hours. That level of flexibility and service made things much more convenient for us.
    • The location is good.
    • The reception staff are very friendly and happy to help. Tram and metro stations are nearby.

    Cons -

    • Cleanliness was a major issue. The chairs in the room were dirty and had visible stains, including what appeared to be semen. This significantly affected our perception of the room and made it feel unhygienic.
    • The hotel is quite old, and the hallway is dirty and not well-maintained. In my building, I also found the food from the previous guest on the window, which was not removed. The shower was also broken and is in need of renovation.
    • The cleanliness of the surfaces is not at a satisfactory level. The beds where less comfortable than expected.

Cleanliness, location, ease of checkin and checkout, staff friendliness.

A kettle in the room would have been helpful!

    7StiffPosted on: 2-9-2026

The beds were very comfortable. Quite rooms to ultimately give a good nights sleep. From the establishment, it is very clear that this hotel was once a very renowned one.

The hotel needs very serious renovation. I believe with a little renovation and re-arrangement, this hotel can very easily get back its charm.

Good check-in, excellent location in the 7th district, powerful shower, reasonable rate considering how expensive Vienna is.

The Internet in the room was effectively non-existent, which could be due to where I was located on the 4th floor, but it made it impossible to work. Even stacked up, the pillows are about as thick as three-ply toilet paper, which left me with a crick in my neck. Quite noisy overall. It also took some back and forth between myself and the hotel to work out that if I arrived after 10 pm, I could still retrieve an access card for my room from a 24-hour box (this should really be in the description of the accommodation).

    Staff is friendly and helpful

The corridors are very old, the room was clean but worn out and lugging essentials (like kettle, tea/coffee/water(

Clean apartment, good breakfast, helpful employees, parking onsite.

Minor: ventilation - but fixed immediately by staff member, so thanks.

Amazing location near one of the centers of Vienna, next to bus stations and with great receptionists who are open for any recommendations and tips in case you are visiting for the first time. You also get a fresh pack of towels every day! Full recommendations!

The hotel is not luxurious, but for the price it is good. The rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly. Very good location.

    I got what I expected.

Location of the Hotel, The accomodation itself bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast were really good and tasty. Reception was amazing kind supportive welcoming and helped us with choosing room matching our needs.

The booking of the room via website was not great due to booking.com choosing very large room for 2 people thankfully reception corrected it. Also I think their website has been hacked because I was contacted by scammers regarding payment with exact order number and time and date and my ID.

Our stay at Hotel Kaffeemuhle was delightful. The room was cozy and comfortable. Plus, the location was perfect for us to see so much of Vienna on foot.

The internet was not working in our room during our stay.

    4AleksandraPosted on: 1-11-2026

    Only the staff

We did not have heating in the room , the pipe burst and food was poor

    3RastkoPosted on: 1-6-2026

What can I say about the hotel except it's excellent location? From such a run down room you expect not so clean bed sheets. To be fair, bed sheets and towels were immaculate. Cleaning lady supplied us with new towels every day even if we did not require it. Receptionists are also helpful.

Where to start? I mean, this hotel has such a potential but it requires a deep renovation. The room furniture is partially relatively new, beds for example, they do not fall apart. But flooring, entire bathroom, bathroom door... It must go if the want to keep visitors coming back. Non existent sound insulation.

The heater worked well and the room was warm. Also had warm water in the shower. Location was very close to tram and metro lines. Reception staff were mostly friendly.

The cleaning stuff didn’t take our trash and dirty towels for 3 days and we had to tell them multiple times until the reception guy came to do it (which was not his job). WiFi wasn’t working most of the time. Pillows were not comfortable, I asked for a replacement and they said okay but they never did replace them. Breakfast was very poor the first days but later it was better with more food options. Breakfast staff was not very friendly.
