About

Palais Coburg is a 5-star luxury hotel in a historic building in the center of Vienna. It offers air-conditioned suites, a gourmet restaurant, and free WiFi and wired internet access. An exclusive spa area over the roofs of Vienna, featuring a sauna, a steam bath, a hot tub, an indoor pool and a sun terrace, is available at Palais Coburg. There is also a modern fitness center. Please be informed that our swimming pool, sauna and steam bath will be closed from the 9th of November 2026 until the 13th of November 2026 due to renovation work. We thank you for your understanding. A bottle of champagne, a fruit/chocolate treatment and a flower bouquet are provided to all guests. The price also includes free mini-bar consumption. Culinary highlights include the two Michelin starred Silvio Nickol Gourmet Restaurant and a new fine dining venue located in the palaces historic state rooms where refined cuisine is presented in an exceptional setting. The hotel is known for its legendary wine collection with around 60.000 bottles stored in six atmospheric cellars. This collection has been awarded the Worlds Best Wine List by World of Fine Wine. Palais Coburg is only a short walk away from St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Stadtpark, and several underground stations.

    Pros +

    • Suite was superb and decor inside stunning, very grande. Staff friendly and welcoming.
    • The most incredible staff ever! Perfect! Everywhere, on every floor.
    • Free mini bar, a bottle of champagne, and snacks ALL included. I chose the no breakfast option which was a mistake. Their turndown service was just subtle enough that I almost missed it until I noticed the tiny details, which made it all the more spectacular. Although the bedding appears a bit dated, the sheets and duvet are a dream to lay with. I didn't want to leave the bed, until I realized what I had left downstairs...The hotel is built inside a palace and I became lost more than once, ending up in random stairwells, dark cellars, someone's wedding, and gorgeous rooms with massive chandeliers.Highly recommend one of the tours in the wine cellar- you will be led through a history of Vienna, the palace and sample some lovely wines (Im sure) or Champagnes (which I did).

    Cons -

    • Maybe some more attention to the shower head in the bathroom and the fridge in the kitchen by the technicians :)
    • The stairs in the room are a pain, as everything is spread out and forgetting one thing upstairs means heading back down to retrieve itit wasa workout located in the quiet part of town adds to the work-out (due to the distance of thesights cause you gotta walk there)Would have been helpful to have the breakfast items along with the cost listed, I may have avoided the astronomical charge.
    • Spa zone - the water in the swimming pool was cold, the sauna didn’t work

Everything was absolutely perfect, Staff, location, interier.

Only two small details: 1) moderd black glas TV table does NOT suit to this antient building with other antient furniture. 2) our room smell little bit , because of toilet pipe.

The room was magnificent. Very large duplex. Hotel has such atmosphere and is very grand

There is only one usable restaurant as the other is a michelin star. so more of an apartment style hotel. The rooms have a kitchenette

    9PeterPosted on: 4-2-2024

large suite, very friendly and helpfull staff, excellent food

    more entertainment in bar.

    8Chen-yuPosted on: 12-15-2023

The historical feeling of the building, the reception and the restaurant. Room is spacious. Bed was comfy.

We didn’t like the bathroom. The shower over tub setting was not convenient. The tub was very slippery. Water became cold when the 3rd person wanted to take a shower.

    service and breakfast were amazing

our room was cold even when heating on

    5ZoranPosted on: 12-5-2023

Great location and extremely friendly front desk.

We were upgraded to a penthouse suite 401. The furniture and design looks very tired and cheap, inluding a 90’s look Nef kitchen. The only carpet in the suite is from some artificial mterial. The couches from artificial leather. There is no shower just a bathtub with a hand shower nozzle. for eur1100/night one has to expect more. urgent renovation recommended.

    It was ruined by the...

The breakfast: completely unacceptable The quality of the foodThe variety . The art de la table. The staff. The worst breakfast ever in Vienna. And we have been in Vienna for hundred times

    10ElliottPosted on: 9-18-2023

Everything about the property was excellent - a beautiful, classic building exceptionally well-maintained, a helpful, friendly staff and excellent food. The quality of everything was excellent.

There was no room for improvement - everything was high quality.

Very attractive building, great room , spotlessly clean and excellent staff

Strangely doesn’t feel like a busy 5* hotel, which could be seen as a good thing!

    5PetrPosted on: 11-29-2024

    perfect breakfast

the price for the room does not match the quality

    9AbbasPosted on: 6-27-2024
