    Pros +

    • The hotel is located in a very convenient location. We stayed in a private double room, and it had all the basic amenities one would expect from a hostel.
    • Location
    • We had a great time in a&o Wien Stadthalle. When we arrived we were welcomed at the reception by Thomas, who was always really helpful and friendly. The room was quite spacious and modern. This hostel has arguably the best quality to price ratio in Wien! But the main thing that made our trip to Wien unforgettable was Thomas who even gave us recommendations on what to see. This guy deserves a raise.

    Cons -

    • If you are a light sleeper or an early sleeper, it was a little loud in and around the hostel with other guests celebrating and hanging out in the common areas that you can hear if you leave the window open, which was necessary in the summer without AC.
    • I need to pay for everything I need to use in the room like blanket and covers, clothes locke
    • It wasn't clean and it was extremely cold. We froze until morning, sleeping with our coats on and everything. It was truly disgusting; we would have been better off staying on the street

The nice thing about it is that it is right next to the big central train station and was super easy to find it and get a room. Decently clean and organised. Thanks!

Location and Staff are super supportive and Helpful. The bed completely comfortable and everything is fine.

Toilet and Bathroom could be more clean.

Great location, close to metro and tram, room was clean and it had a good size.

Building looks a bit old, so the stairs and elevator, but all clean, not a dislike just a comment.

    8Mavilie D.Posted on: 11-11-2025

This was our second stay at this hotel in Vienna. The room was OK and clean. The location is also normal - about 15 minutes away from the tram station.

In order to get to the 4th floor, we had to drag our luggage from the 3rd floor, since the elevator only went up to the 3rd floor. The room was a little bit tiny and not comfortable to move for 2 people.

Good value for money, central location, clean, friendly staff speaking English, spacious room, convinient, good wifi, there's soap and shower gel as well as a hair dryer, easy and fast check-in and check-out

There is heating but it might get a bit cold at times

    6GulnurPosted on: 10-30-2025

It worths your money, it is not expensive to stay here so no need to expect much.

The check-out is at 10am it’s too early, i did not know this or I overlooked on that information, the person at the reception was slightly mad about it, when I said in most places the check-out is at 11am I thought the same, then they told, ‘well we are not most places and next time don’t assume things. They seemed pretty annoyed by me, I don’t take it personal or she was probably right but I felt uncomfortable to be educated like this, I was not charged for the additional 40 minutes though be careful about this, you might need to pay extra. Location is pretty far away from everything although again it is a cheap hotel so I understand that. The room was really small, if you plan to stay longer you won’t be able to fit, for couple of days only to sleep it’s okay. There was a strange smell in the room and the drain for the sink was clocked I needed to take out the little device to be able to wash our hands. All in all, if you are not willing to pay more for other places, do not expect much.

    3BlendPosted on: 10-20-2025

Nothing except that the place where we sleep was clean.

The next room were making noise and it was like to be in the same room. The toilet had no shampo, the flush if shower was blocked if you wash. We talked with the stuf about our neighbors that were making noise and they said, I will have myself to talk to them and tell not making more noise. They didn't deal with them themselves. Not worth the price for trying to rest after a long day in Wien.

    5LeKiPosted on: 10-20-2025

Functional enough for an overnight stay. Boiling water available in the lobby (free).

The check in procedure, the excessive requirement for personal data (ID/passport scans), even for a child who stayed with the parent! The staff at reception couldn't explain the need for this or further handling (in principle, violating the EU GDPR).

    10EdisPosted on: 10-19-2025

The reception was busy but helpful. Everything you need is provided. Dorm room has private bathroom and toilet. Wifi worked well eccept for one morning but it was fixed when i came back to the room in afternoon. Kitchen is useful with big fridge. Two towels included. It's like staying in the hotel but at a very affordable price. Everything was clean. I would stay again.

The dorm room wasn't the same as on photos. I was surprised to see that they asigned me a twin bed next to another person instead of a bunk bed with privacy. I was very lucky this time to have considerate and decent roomates so it didn't turn out to be a major issue and infact just fine. There was no locker so i had to use other people's cage lockers once they checked out and it went quite well. Besides these small inconveniences i had a very pleasant stay.

Not enough light, even when turn on all lights

It’s very clean, comfortable, and secure. I loved our stay here! The receptionists are also friendly and helpful

The receptionists don’t really check the messages often i guess, because their replies were a bit late

No ventilation,it is so humid. When you open the window,it so noisy outside since it is beside highway.

    6SteffiPosted on: 7-13-2025

A&O is always a fine choice for a short City trip if you don't expect too much, and this one is just like the others ... Super nice staff, a clean bed and a shower. We spent two nights for a concert at Stadthalle, so it was exactly what we needed.

The room was super hot (late June) and super loud

    3AkosPosted on: 7-12-2025

    The location where it’s placed

It was expensive for what you got and there weren’t any air conditioning and you need to pay extra for a fan.

    8elkyPosted on: 6-29-2025

    Great location, friendly staff

It's a bit noisy, and since no AC, you have to keep the window open
