Hôtel Résidence Parc des Eaux Vives

The location was wonderful. This was my second visit to this facility. My first stay was in August. Unfortunately, the terrace was closed during my recent stay. Also, in the evening all common spaces were either used by catered events, or they were locked. I had to sit on the steps of the stairwell in order to take an evening phone call. We were essentially mandated to stay in the room. On a positive note, the staff was wonderful. They were kind and happy to help. The garden room we stayed in was extremely small. Breakfast was fine. The view from the breakfast room was fabulous.

Although we had a reservation we were asked to move to The Metropole before arriving ( much to our initial disappointment) but we found the hotel lovely and all very accommodating! It was a lively property with full amenities and pleasant staff.

Beautiful setting in a mature parc with view on Lac Leman. The personnel went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Very quiet and calm atmosphere. The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful.

Incredibly disappointing, not worth the money whatsoever, will not return.

Lack of staff, noisy due wedding party, breakfast late, insufficient and basic. There should have been a total insistence by management on relocation to sister Hotel Métropole as Hotel Residence was not fit for purpose July 5/6, this was never directly communicated to us either beforehand or at check in. Will not return.

Important not to book this hotel if the management does not provided staffing.

We received a call the same day of our booking advising that the hotel was not staffed and they were having personnel issues for a few days. We were advised that the only option was to stay at a sister property and receive an upgrade. So, even though we paid in advance AND RECIEVED CONFIRMATION OF OUR CHECK IN TIEM (BETWEEN 4 AND 5PM) THE DAY BEFORE, OUR RESERVATION WAS NOT HONORED. It is important to not sell rooms if the property is not staffed. The alternative offered, Hotel Metropole, was very nice, but a completely different experience than we planned and hoped for.

The hotel management changed my booking to their sister hotel at the last minute...due to the renovation of the restaurant and some other issues, personal to them.I was not very pleased with the other hotel as that was a very small room...with a very little view of the lake and no balcony which was my priority ?

They had a party and did not tell me in advance. Impossible to sleep because lf the noise

The hotel was a good experience in Geneva, small hotel but the view was great and we are in middle of a park the kids had fun time playing, for the breakfast is limited of what they offer the chef was not attended the day I was there

Poorest hotel stay in a long time. Hugely overpriced.

Not at all the standard of a a four star. Little to no service. No staff from 18 hrs to 7 hrs. No restaurant. No bar or relaxation area. Not fully clean. Overpriced for quality of service. Not indicated that if you don’t arrive by 18 hrs, you have to check in for this hotel at a hotel 2 kilometers away. Got the timing for my room breakfast wrong. Got the breakfast order wrong. Asked reception for a taxi and they got the time a half hour wrong. No place in reception to sit while waiting for a taxi. And I could go on….

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely kept hotel in beautiful location of park with lake opposite, very quiet and clean

The breakfast wasn't a buffet style which isn't a bad thing but think a buffet provides more choice

The property is in a beautiful park and the view of the lake is lovely.

The carpet at the entrance was filthy upon our arrival and the carpet on the staircase is getting very worn. We had to take the stairs because the elevator was not working. We had breakfast included in our reservation and it was to be served until 11:00 am so we made a preorder and reservation for 10:00 am. We called to reception to ask if we could include another guest who would join us for breakfast with his new baby and were told it was fine. We arrived just before 10:00 and there was no table set for us so had to wait for it to be set up and we got our coffee and croissants at 10:15. The server then told us we had to vacate the room by 10:30 as they had another party coming in and they needed the room. We asked if they could give us a bit longer but her manager said no, so we cancelled the rest of our breakfast as we told her if would be impossible for us to eat in 10 minutes when our eggs etc. hadn’t even been served.We told the reception at checkout that we had not received our breakfast and she said she was sorry.The room was CH295 so we were very disappointed in their reaction. We called the Hotel Métropole, which is the main hotel (and we have stayed there as well) and told them of our issue and were told we’d get a response from their management but we did not receive a call.

We were actually transferred to their sister hotel which was an upgrade to the 5 star Métropole

The location and size of the room was nice. The staff was pleasant when we could see them.

There was a lack of service, staff could not be located on the property, nobody at the front desk on multiple occasions. If you call the reception, it directs you to the sister hotel in the city. The hallway was dirty and smelled bad. Multiple events during our séjour, which meant the restaurant and other activities could be used.

Beautiful hotel, staff very friendly rooms very good size lovely bathroom was enormous.

Pillows were very soft and restaurant wasnt open.

First of all, I want to thank Simon, Mathew, and Alice. They are one of the best staff that I have ever met in hotels. This hotel is a palace with the biggest frontyard garden in Geneva. The rooms were cozy and unique, and the bathrooms were advanced. The hotel's service is very generous. Free parking, Nice breakfast, Geneva lake infromt of the palace, they offer the Geneva transportation pass for the busses and trams and boats. Again thank you to Alice, Mathew, and Simon!
