Auberge Communale de Carouge

The room was very cosy! The location is really a plus. itself. The staff was really joyful and really pleasant. And we loved the quietness of the breakfast ?

We were there in AUG 25. The room was clean and so is the wash room. The room and bathroom is good. An old charm beautiful building with a lift.If not for the construction right in front of the hotel my way of rating the hotel….If anyone reading to know how to get to the hotel from the Geneva airport,Use the Geneva tourist pass on transportation to get into a train towards Geneva main train station.Walk out and look for tram no 17 or bus no 12 towards Lancy bachet , or train towards Lancy bachet from GVA train station. Get down at Lancy bachet station.Out of Lancy bachet station you can get bus 12 or tram 17 towards Rondeau. Infront of Ibis hotel and walk straight parallel to tram track towards the hotel.

1. We were never informed about the very noice construction happening right in front of the hotel tram line. 2. We were never communicated that tram line is no more operating in front of the hotel and information was provided of the tram service which non ops.3.On arrival in Geneva train station we could not find the tram as mentioned, fortunately we called the hotel reception and for our luck lady spoke English and told us the issue.3. We took the tram No 17 which stops near Ibis hotelBut a very little walk to the hotel not a big issue.4. Breakfast is boring and it’s the same thing nevertheless appreciate it’s given free.5. It’s not the Hotel’s fault re the construction but when you have to wake up at 07am everyday with lot of digging noices it really is bad.

The room was nice. The breakfast, while small, was also good and we we served fresh and great coffee upon asking the waiter. The location was convenient with bus and tram stops right around the corner.

The reception was empty at first which made the experience a bit stressful. We then asked the staff of the restaurant and got help. The breakfast could have more options, especially something like fried eggs.

I liked the quiet neighborhood easy access to tram and via services

Charming Property and really nice staff! Breakfast was nice and they also have a nice restaurant (Italian) on property !

If you plan on arriving earlier than the check in time I would confirm that with them days in advance because I arrived early the day of and the door was locked to the hotel and nobody answered the phone so I couldn’t even have them hold my bags or get in touch with them for hours .

Everything was great. My own fault for not noticing that the trams run right outside and they start early morning so I didn’t get much sleep. Perhaps ask for a room at the back next time!

Cozy Hotel, the tram station to reach the city center is right in front of the hotel, then it's a 10 minutes ride to the center. The bed was really comfortable and the staff was really kind.

Wifi a bit shaky sometimes, all the rest was fine.

Nice location, conveniently situated right next to a tram station and just a short distance from the city center (if you use tram). The provision of Geneva transport cards is an incredibly practical feature. The room was generally quiet, ensuring a peaceful stay, and the breakfast was nice. Overall, an excellent value for the price during our visit.

The tram could be heard at night, but we quickly got used to it.

Location of hotel is safe and quite picturesque. There is a tram stop just outside the hotel that takes you directly to Gare Cornavin, CERN, other tourist spots in Geneva. The hotel is a great spot for any meal of the day as it contains a public restaurant that opens in afternoons and evenings. I also find the interior decor of hotel to be charming.

My partner found the mattress in the bedroom slightly hard.

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very hot.

The pillows were poor quality, very thin. One of the sockets next to the bed didn't work so we had to move the lamp.

Staff were helpful, room quiet and is in an excellent location. Breakfast was very good.

Bedroom was a bit basic and the ensuite bathroom needs to be renovated

I had a long flight and arrived early in the morning. My room was ready so they were very generous in allowing me to check straight in. The staff were very kind.

Everything was great, cozy room, delicious breakfast, excellent location with public transport out of hotel's door. Convenient to reach city center. Very kind and helpful people there. The room is like the pictures, spacious and very clean. The hotel provides a ticket to use public transport for free a day before arrival. Highly recommend this place :)

The Breakfast room has a special atmosphere!The Sofa on the 2nd Floor. The Tram Station of 12, 15, 18 is in front of the Auberge de Carouge to go to Geneva. I like Carouge very much because I worked and lived earlier here.

The tram station was just outside the door, the was the only good thing about it.

The room was very different to what I saw while booking with proper ventilation, the rooms were so small, the bed size was so small for 2 people, the pillow covers had hair on it .. it was a very bad room

Good location, clean room and whole hotel, directly on the tram-station to citicenter, to the airport, to CERN....

No parking place or garage in the hotel. Saturdays and Sundays are free of charge in Geneva, but working days are very expensive.

Big spacious room, heated floor in the bathroom

Everything is so low cost, from the coffee, to the soap, to the food you get at breakfast. There is molding in the bathroom, you don't have the feeling that it is a sanitized and clean space. What's worse is that if you're checking in after 9 pm, there is nobody at the reception, the building is locked and I had to wait in the cold in front of the hotel for almost 20 minutes until somebody answered the phone. They seemed very bothered that I had the audacity to stay in their hotel and arrive at 10 pm.....very bad experience.

-The staff was super friendly and let us stay a bit longer.-Its not modern but cozy.-Genève city centre was easy to reach directly with the tram.-Breakfast was good.

There is no nearby parking. We were lucky, because Sunday its for free everywhere. But otherwise you pay a lot!
