Hotel Churchill

The breakfast was a good value and well stocked. The location was very convenient to main attractions

The shower was a hand held shower and the holder was mounted so low that you couldn't stand under it to shower. I'd prefer a shower that you can stand in and just shower versus a hand held one.

The location is great! Very easy and quick access to efficient public transport. The hotel gives you a pass that’s provided by the city for free unlimited public transport. Front desk staff were helpful in answering my questions and spoke many languages. Hotel was very clean, and bed was comfortable. Small European size rooms but perfect for a short stay. Heating was great, especially in chilly late November. Having breakfast included saved a lot of money.

The fridge in my room did not seem to work. It would be nice to have a kettle in the rooms since getting drinks in Geneva is expensive.

The hotel was not maintained properly and it does not have modern facilities. It seems it has not been renovated over 40 years. Also there was a putrid smell everytime you entered. To sum up, the benches have more amenities.

Breakfast was quite nice, simple but good. The location was walking distance from activities.

Room was too hot, temperature not controllable. Bathroom was a nightmare. Horrible shower. Much worse than all other showers experienced across Switzerland. Staff was not polite and had AirPods in throughout service. The view was terrible overlooking the public garbage and a construction site. 2 twin beds pushed together to make one bed. Our key did not work. Our doors would not shut and latch properly without immense force.

Its just an old hotel that actually needs a proper refurb. It is the most basic of places and I'm definitely going to look for other accommodation when I return

Room was very spacious, and very clean. Staff were very friendly. Location is very nice, just near the lake.

The breakfast is decent, although the coffee is terrible; and the room is comfortable.Good location, second line from the lake, and short walking distance to city centre.

The hotel needs a renovation and some upgrades. It looks very old and in some places dirty, like for example the TV remote in room was absolutely disgusting.

The price was good. The bathroom was great.

Hotel Churchill is run down and in need of renovation. The internet in my room was variable and only good for messaging and texting. If I wanted to make a WHATSAPP phone call I had to go downstairs to the lobby. I was initially told that the safe deposit box was not functioning but pressed the matter and they eventually provided me with the key. On the breakfasts, it seemed that they were adding water to the scrambled eggs to make them go further, thus the eggs were watery. Not very appetizing. Please watch your belongings as a theft of money was reported by two guests, while I was there. The Management informed me that they took swift action and called the police. Hotel Churchill in a good location close to shops and the Lake.

This boutique hotel was nice, clean and the staff were friendly. My bed and pillows were comfortable which I welcomed after a long trip. The price point for the location was great! You can walk to lake Geneva in 3 min and public transportation is all around you.

It’s hard to say anything negative about my experience. The only thing I can say is that the bathroom is tiny so I need to maneuver around the door in many occasions. And it’s noisy during the day due to construction in the area at this time. At night it was quiet!

Hotel was listed as having Air cooler. When we checked in rooms were hot. I asked hotel staff AC worked. They said it had just been fixed and rooms would be cooled down when we areive back from dinner. That was 10pm and it was still hot in rooms. Hotel staff said sorry we would have to live with it. It was to late to find some where else to stay with 2 rooms of my family. Was a very hot night with no sleep. Asked staff for a discount and they said no.

Very close to the lake, a cozy little hotel on a quiet street with nice staff, small, but comfy room - perfect for those who spend one or two nights in Geneva and doesn't want to pay a fortune.

Perfect location, close to the lake. Helpful receptionist, luggage service available. Hair dryer in the bathroom, and some small items to purchase as well.

Reasonable breakfast, but the staff could refill the items more often. Also, we didn't find the switcher for the bathroom fan.

I believe the main selling point of this hotel is certainly its location! There are so many options for food and to get to the main fountain is no more than a two minute walk!

While the location is lovely, the hotel itself is fairly unremarkable, other than the lovely little portrait of Winston Churchill himself hanging on the wall as soon as you enter the door! I must say the elevator was quite small, and if you have luggage, realistically it can only fit one person at a time. This is something I believe most people can look past considering the value and location of this hotel :)

This centrally located hotel in Geneva boasts friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, making it an ideal base for exploring the city.

The room was very nice given the price, I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was ok, but no possibility to order espresso or else. Just filter coffee and I am not a big fun.
