- very charming, good breakfast, room a tad musty but very nice. Huge king size bed plus sofa bed. Great for family.
- It was a waystation on our route north.
- Nice room ok location
Cons -
- The room, while complete, was adequate. Nothing memorable.
- The all night party from 1.30am to 6.00 am outside my room lots of shouting and noise, asked why night managers never sorted it out, owner lied and eventually admitted there was no night manager, poor show from a family run hotel, couldn’t call police as not good for the hotel
- That was little to dislike. I wish to that they would clean the carpet in the room that we stayed in. It had some big black splotches in it.

Great welcome even with late check in. Concierge even recommended a local restaurant for dinner.
A marvellous traditional hotel just behind an interesting museum and a delightful park. There's also a great frites stand nearby if you don't want to spring for a fancy French dinner
Centrally located. our room was comfortable, but the carpeting can use a good cleaning. A part of the wallpaper was also peeling off. I was glad that he didn’t work really well, and the bed was comfortable and the sheets and the towels were all clean.

Room was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was very nice - the interior of hotel was historically unique
Location was a bit tucked away. But was able to walk a few blocks to main street.
This was an unexpected pleasure. Emily helped us get situated and the hotel was lovely. We took the Chunnel from London to Paris and decided to take the ferry from Calais to Dover to visit Calais and to see the white cliffs of Dover. It was worth the stop and we plan to return. When we do, we will stay at the Hotel Maurice. It was lovely and we loved Calais.
Nothing! Everything was great!!
Compared to anything else that we saw in this town, it was probably among the top. It was a cool old building and was comfortable.
The staff was not particularly friendly. I understand the differences between French and American, so I was not expecting a ready smile. However I not need to be told twice to not try to have the breakfast when I paid for the coffee/croissant option. It really makes the whole stay feel unfriendly.
Great breakfast, wonderfully helpful staff. Electric car charging (it works, but you have to download the app). Very central for the channel crossing and the centre of Calais
Near bustle and activity, easy access to reasonable restaurants
Lack of tea and coffee in room (it obviously hadn’t been topped up) very (too) warm and very small roon. Car charging was offered and I plugged in but .. next morning no juice ☹️
Hot room
No a/c, a lot of hairs in the bathroom, so hot in the room could not sleep. Had the window open, but no breeze entered, we could not sleep. There was no fan either. With the window open, you could hear things from outside. They tried to charge me multiple times for city tax. I couldn't find the room, and the employee did not offer to escort me. The toilet tissue was also very poor quality.
very convenient excellent breakfast garage great
no meal at hotel vbut they recommended excellent bistro nearbyroom had no draw over curtains
Good location near shores and restaurants, and 10 minutes to LeShuttle. Good breakfast and secure underground parking with dedicated spaces for motorcycles (book in advance). Large room. Historic character.
Room interior is very tired - peeling wallpaper, chipped paint, etc. No outlets near bed except one for bedside lamps - so if you need to plug in electronics, you don’t have light except for bright overhead.
Good location close to bars / restaurants. Easy transit to Eurotunnel. The large rooms are spacious and worth paying the premium for.
Only street parking is available.
It was accommodating to out late booking, which was great
The receptionist in the morning was rude and judgemental when it came to pay the room tax of like 3 euros. She naturally assumed I was going to leave without paying it, it was unnecessary, she used previous guests as an excuse for her actions which is wrong, I’m not previous guests and shouldn’t be judged based on them. It made me feel like a was no better and a criminal, not happy how she made me feel.
Location-near to shops and restaurants .Parking in front of hotel possibly if arrived early.
The room was very small, the plug in the bath didn’t work and one of the bedside lamps didn’t work
Great location and staff very friendly and helpful
Bedrooms had bath with shower over rather than an actual shower, but really not a problem for us
Lovely overnight stay. Friendly staff. Very quiet and peaceful. Great and varied buffet stye breakfast. Old decor in classic French stye. Beds are extremely comfortable and linens/towels are excellent. Rooms are large and in need of a refresh, but by no means unpleasant. Look forward to my next stay.
It was our second time and we saw a big improvement. Newly decorated and expanded foyer area. Spotlessly clean and bright bedroom and a bath! Friendly staff and nice breakfast in the amazing dining room
Wish the bar was busier but that’s not the fault of the hotel!
