ibis Styles Calais Centre

Compared to other ibis styles I've stayed at in other cities, this one was not that good. They put me in a back bldg which was much older and dirty, very disappointing.

The women at the desk when I first got there were extremely helpful. I was having difficulty buying a ticket for the ferry the next morning online. They worked very hard on their computers to resolve the issue, but couldn’t. One of them simply suggested that I go down to the pier to try to purchase a ticket… It worked. Without the help of Isabelle, Eloise, or Lorene I might have been in big trouble. So thank you very much, ladies.And the breakfast is excellent.

The room is small. And not much room for luggage…

Simple, good value and an unexpectedly great breakfast which I think was included in the price.

We liked everything

Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Bonus It had an English plugs fitted

Hotel car park is limited so you have to find another space in the nearby streets

Noisy road but with the windows shut it was fine.

Breakfast -ok would have been great to have a wider selection of pastries and fruit as there was no hot breakfast option.

Location is perfect. Room was clean, breakfast was good.The maintance person was really helpful and friendly.

Tv was smashed when we got into the room, air con didn’t work so had to sleep with window open and there was lots of noise throughout the night. No tea or coffee facilities. There were coffee machines downstairs but switched off (must just be for breakfast).

Clean, good location, good breakfast, despite the town centre location it was very quiet, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff

Stylish, central and comfortable. Would recommend.

Unfortunately the key wasn’t cut properly meaning I had to go back to reception to get it re done. The location on the high street meant it was incredibly noisy and there were people repeatedly shouting outside. We were staying in a building not part of the main hotel we weren’t told this prior to our stay. The air con didn’t work in any of these rooms so the rooms were boiling but we couldn’t open the windows due to noise. The breakfast was nowhere near as good as previous trips. Unfortunately we will not be back

Virtually everything; great location, super value, superb breakfast (automatic, orange juice making machine ?) and the assistance at the desk was excellent and much appreciated.  Because traveling from Dover to Calais is such an easy way to go, I could easily imagine myself staying there again, and certainly will be recommending it to anyone going to Calais 100 out of 100. ?

Location, cleanliness and style

Not the fault of the property but the Saturday night we stayed there was significant noise from people out in the bars and street all night until we went for breakfast at 6am! We had to shut the windows which made the room too warm to sleep.

The property was really nice and clean.

The sound proofing of the hotel was poor. We were a a family of 5 sleeping on floors 1 &3 and unfortunately we had no sleep due to the street noise that went on until 4-30am when we left for the ferry. The stop of at Calais was to allow us to get some sleep after driving from the French alpes, ready for our onward journey in the Uk, however we were unable to get any sleep which was a shame as the hotel was nice.

Quite good facilities, and good location, with quite a lot within walking distance. Only complaint is that there wasn’t a bin in the room, might be an EU thing, no idea

Excellent location and great stop over for a long journey to the alps. Hotel facilities great and staff friendly.

Limited carpark space that you need to book in advance and is £15 per night.

Central location with secure parking . Extensive continental breakfast . Good sized room for stopover

Location great. Access to bars shops, restaurants.

Dirty carpets in both rooms.
