    Pros +

    • Smooth checkin/checkout; helpful, friendly staff; cool courtyard area; nice breakfast with plenty of choices; large bathroom and enclosed shower stall (might be the best bathroom we'll encounter on our trip, we'll see...not sure if all the bathrooms are this big, maybe only for larger rooms?).
    • Nice Quiet Safe very good neighborhood. Close to good restaurants and old town.Very good staff. Helpful and smiling.Good breakfast. Highly Recommend it.
    • Room was quiet and had everything we needed in terms of toiletries, and towels. Very good attention to detail and the breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of foods. Walkable distance to center of historic areas.

    Cons -

    • No conditioner in the shower and no refill available throughout the hotel (not a big deal). Room for three was pricey, but what isn't in Europe in the summer.
    • The entrance to the hotel is in a very narrow street with a extremely tight area to drop off luggage and passengers. The bed had nice sheets but no coverlet. Bed was overall comfortable but not as firm as we hoped. The hotel wine bar area appeared to be closed when it was advertised to be open. The front desk person kindly offered to open it but we felt uncomfortable asking.
    • breakfast. The only thing to change is breakfast. very small choice and eggs were with water or made not from not real eggs. no choice of gluten free options. lots of sugar things for breakfast and poor for veggies and other things. kitchen is closed after breakfast and if you arrive late, you have to find a restaurant outside..

Boutique Hotel. Excellent staff and great breakfast . Typical Italian small room , but good for no more than a few nights.

Very nice hotel with a beautiful garden. Room was clean and nice, bed was comfortable. Located very close to the center but in a very quite street, so at night it was calm:)

We had a large room with the bed up the stairs in a loft. Some caution might be required in the dark. We left a lamp on in a dim position. The bed was comfortable.Breakfast was in the orangerie , a very nice setting with good options including eggs and bacon fruits a good assortment of cheeses. The staff was very helpful. The staff helped with nearby dinner reservations. Good choices!

Since our room was in a section that was somewhat separated from the lobby we were not on the main wifi network. The signal was very weak so the computer only worked in the loft.

Great staff, facilities, spacey room, location.

Very loud building, you can hear everything. Too small shower. We were put in annex without knowing ahead. A bit overpriced for value.

Very spacious, clean, beautifully decorated room, excellent breakfast

The room was in a nearby building, outside the main building.

Overall the hotel was fine and met all our needs well. The bed was comfortable, and the room was fine if a little austere, and the bathroom was large. The location was about 15 minutes easy walk from the centre, and the hotel is found in a narrow side street (aren't all the side streets narrow though?! :))The staff were very polite and helpful.Breakfast is good and plentiful with friendly waiting staff - situated in the Orangery and small courtyard. The hotel is very quiet despite its location, even with a main road a couple of streets away.We felt perfectly safe walking out or back in the evening .There are also a couple of very nice restaurants in the same street - which are good value for money compared to those closer to the centre. Would probably rate as a 3-and-a-half-star

The room (205) had some awkward steps into the room which are a little tricky if your mobility isn't great and you're carrying a large suitcase.Room was a little sparse (some wall art or pictures would help perhaps) and it is quite dark with just one small window.Towels were a little thin but did the job.Wardrobe was quite small. Was difficult to get a drink in the evening if sitting in the courtyard/garden - having to go to reception to request one each time - surprised there was no bar.

    Garage, stuff, breakfast, cleanness

Poor quality pillows. VERY small shower… and one need to be careful with thermostat… we could not make it comfortable in one night… it is like a fire arm with a messed up aim.

Lush Gardens, friendly staff, good size rooms.

Water pressure in my shower was a trickle. Had somebody come up to take a look at it and with the faucet all the way to one side I was able to get a trickle of hot water and nothing more. Air conditioning worked but was very noisy and I had to turn it off at night so I could get some sleep

Great location, helpful in accommodating our vehicle, since the garage was full we were able to keep it parked out front.Great breakfast, mindful staff, they helped with the luggage ??

I had a mirror and comb that was removed from the room, they may have thought it belonged to the previous guests. Never recovered, but mishaps happen.

The hotel was easy to locate by car. It was within walking distance to the centre of Bologna and in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The back garden was lovely and breakfast was plentiful- fruit, cheese, meats, toast, hard boiled eggs as well as scrambled offers and bacon. Our room was lovely and located on the second floor of the hotel.

I can’t say there was anything I did not like about the hotel. I did find the cost of daily parking high- 25 euro daily. We were there for a week, so that was expensive.

The location, privacy, welcoming staff, comfortable rooms and great breakfast!

The courtyard was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Wonderful place to have breakfast, coffee, as well as late night drinks. Very good breakfast with eggs, meats, cheeses, pastries, cakes, juice, and coffee.

Not really a negative because it's so quiet and peaceful, but if you are looking for something closer to the city center this is on the outskirts of the city by the wall. It was about a 10 -15 min walk to the center. We enjoyed it!!

    9BarbaraPosted on: 7-24-2025

Great breakfast, both food offerings and garden atmosphere. Extremely helpful staff.

Noise level - very little sound proofing. Noisy air conditioner.

    9MikaPosted on: 7-16-2025

Friendly staff and good breakfast. Quite big room.

No elevator to our room, but the staff helped with the luggage, so it didn’t really bother. The walls were quite thin and we woke up when the neighbors came back.

Everything worked! It was updated, clean, comfortable. Modern scheme adapted to an old beautiful property. My room was quiet as I requested. I was at first given a room facing the windows of another property on the street. Thankfully, after talking to the manager, he was able to accommodate my original request and give me a garden view. The garden area was nice for breakfast.

The rooms are small. Not a lot of natural light made its way into my room. The breakfast scrambled eggs were in kind a soup making me wonder if they were from a powder mix.
