TRAM Bologna: Urban Development Update – A Step Towards a Greener Future We are pleased to inform you that, as part of an important urban development initiative already underway in Bologna, construction works will begin in front of our hotel from early June 2025 until the end of the year. This phase involves the installation of tracks for the city’s new electric tram line, which is expected to become fully operational in 2026. This project will lead to the full pedestrianization of Via dell’Indipendenza, significantly enhancing the tranquility, safety, and charm of the area. Once completed, our guests will enjoy a quieter, cleaner, and more sustainable environment right in front of our property. We are proud to share this forward-looking transformation, which reflects Bologna’s strong commitment to sustainability and to promoting a more walkable, people-friendly cityscape — especially along the city’s main boulevard, where the Grand Hotel Majestic is proudly located. Throughout the construction period, and once the tram is operational, our guests will still be able to arrive by car via the hotel’s side entrance on Via Manzoni, as already happens on weekends and public holidays.
