Buon Hotel Bologna Centro - Affittacamere - Self Check-In

Clean, friendly and helpful staff, and right in the middle of the town. Great experience.

Paolo and his staff were exceptionally friendly and gave great recommendations for places to eat and visit. And the location was excellent, very close to the main piazza but still a reasonable walk to/from the train station.

The place is amazing, very clean, and well organized. The staff is incredibly friendly, and it’s conveniently located close to the center. If you’re considering other bookings, stop looking and just book this one because it’s perfect!!! Paolo was fantastic!

This hotel was perfect for a one night stay in Bologna. The location is right in the center and Paolo, who greeted us, was very friendly and super helpful by providing a map of the city and giving us multiple recommendations of where to eat and what to do. The room was very nice with a spacious bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable.

I was very disappointed to find out that the air conditioning wasn't working upon arriving. We were provided with electric fans instead, but I specifically made sure that the hotel I booked would have air conditioning because it was the middle of June and I was 20 weeks pregnant. I would have preferred to get a heads up about this before arriving so that we could have changed our plans. The fans barely helped with the heat and meant an uncomfortable sleep.

Great location, very close to the center, an amazing room and the best reception service ever. Paolo was amazing and gave us great recommendations for places to go (eat/drink/visit), all of which were amazing options.

Way overpriced, and then didn't deliver advertised features like a/c. Paper thin walls, worst mattress I've slept on in years. I had to cancel and find another place. Bologna has hotels that don't deliver and Booking does nothing to help. Hotel did let me go without penalty, but then they made a lot of money fir nothing.

The location! It is in downtown, close proximity to the majot sites. Also in an alley away from the crowds’ noise.The transfer from the airport was easy, too. First taking the 1-stop tram (€23 return ticket) then a 15-min walk made it to the hotel.

More than a classical hotel, it felt like a house/bnb. Kitchen access, no reception (but clear instructuons by the owner) steep stair flights.

In a quiet street near the city centre. A bit of a walk from the train station. We were met by the friendly Paolo, who gave some recommendations of places to eat and drink. The room was quiet and comfortable.

Can’t recommend this hotel enough! Paolo was incredibly helpful, carrying my suitcase for me, providing a map and guide of the city, and plenty of excellent recommendations. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and the location of the hotel is very central - only 5 mins walk to the main piazza and 15/20 min walk to the station.Thank you for my wonderful stay!! ?

Exceptional experience at Buon Hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean with good facilities. Paolo the staff member was super friendly when dealing with admin and was a relaxed, smiling face when checking out. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Bologna Centro. Would definitely stay here again!

Room was tidy albeit a bit small. Heating worked well as this in was in March. Plenty of warm water in the shower. Fast wifi. Good, central location. Many shops and restaurants around the corner in old town. 1,1 km from the central railway station so easy to reach even by foot. And lastly Paolo who gave us good tips and info for our stay, many thanks!

The hotel is on an unimpressive side street, but it's very close to the most interesting part of the city. The price was good and the room was pretty clean.

Check-in was annoying: The code I was given didn't work, and no one answered either of the two doorbells or phone numbers. Eventually I heard from my wife, who wasn't with me but whose number is listed with booking.com, and the code came through, and then the host called me.Walls were extremely thin. I heard everyone around me.I wanted to put something into the safe, but it was tiny and there were no instructions. I tried the standard-ish procedure for putting a code into the safe but it immediately locked and I could not unlock it. It was also only glued onto a small piece of furniture, and when I lifted it to see if the furniture would be easy for a thief to take with the safe, it immediately came unglued.The Hotel Palace is around the corner, is only a little more expensive, and at least from the outside, looked much better.

The location was excellent, a quiet area in the evening but all facilities and central attractions nearby. Paolo was very helpful and welcoming, sharing lots of information via WhatsApp.

The only thing for us were the stairs and we were on the third floor! Paolo kindly took our bags up on arrival, but I still found them a steep climb. Other than that, all else was great

Walls are thin, so noise from other residents, slamming doors, tv on at 2am at night sometimes, takibg 1 hour showers at night, ...these do make the stay less pleasant than it should be, seems some people have problem behaving themselves properly and paying respect to other people staying in hotel, but this is not the fault if the hotel.
