Terrible. Staff really bad. There are bedbugs!!

Nicest hostel so far. Nicest lounging area, nicest bed arrangements, nicest storage. As well as being practically next to a bunch of attractions this is a great place to stay.

Some nitpicking. Exteremely flat pillow. Shower curtain had specks of dirt that can become mold but nothing that'll kill you right now. Just a Bologna thing in general when they say check in time is 12-7 there is a gap between 2-4 where you can't check in.

The location is great, you are in the center of Bologna and you can reach easily points of interest. It was overall clean, but maybe there are few bathrooms for that many people.

The sheets and the towel were old (but clean), one shower (near the 8 bedroom) had a very hard knob. Also my bed was a bit hard for me, in any case I don't expect to have a good sleep in an hostel so it was ok.

Reception hours and staff responses (BEFORE things were settled)My flight would arrive a bit late, but not terribly late, at around 8:30 in the evening. Right after booking, the hostel tells me that their reception shuts at seven. Pretty early…I booked for three nights, and if I could not make it within reception hours, the whole booking and money would be lost. It would seem like no problem because Booking.com has this ‘wave fee’ function that can make the property cancel your reservation for free.But they didn’t. They said I should have read their reception policies and offered to refund me half of the money but cancel the booking. Really, if your reception closes at seven, it is a red letter thing, and it should be the actual name of your hostel. ‘Hostel 7 PM lockout’ or something.In the end, it took me calls and messages to Booking.com. They intervened to get the property to modify the booking to two nights instead of three.Once I was actually there personally, the staff was pleasant. This place is no boutique hostel at all. It offers the bare minimum in decor, facilities and ambience.Each of the three bathrooms has its own shortcomings and it seems it should’ve been fixed months or years ago.I am sure they know this but it is just not enough to make serious complaints about so it doesn’t get fixed.

Immediately after booking the Hostel texted me via WhatsApp that check in is just possible until 7pm and that they will cancel my reservation if I cannot check in before. Unfortunately I couldn’t or didn’t see this during booking process otherwise ofc wouldn’t have booked it since my plane arrived in the evening. The Hostel then told me via Whatsapp to write to booking com in order to get a free cancellation. I did so but the Hostel refused it and the Hostel never got back to me on Whatsapp. So I never had the chance to sleep there but they kept the full amount for the night. Arriving in Bologna I had to book another Hostel which was so kind to offer a bit later check in. That’s why I can’t recommend the Hostel and everyone should be aware that check in after 7pm is not possible and that the Hostel isn’t cooperative at all with their cancellation policy.

I stayed in a single room. It was clean & comfortable.

Wish there had been some cooking facilities.

Location was good. Staff were able to arrive within an hour after I had arrived to provide me with check in.

It felt like it was itchy once I got into bed. I referenced reviews and there were complaints of bed bugs. I felt uneasy and checked the seams of the mattress as well as the sheets. I found what appeared to be molted shells and decided to depart early at 3 AM. Provided one example of what I saw.

Location, cleanliness, even vacuumed my baggage upon arrival. Very quiet room. Staff was there on time as agreed and very polite. I read very bad reviews but decided to come here anyhow. My room was a normal single room (with walls and doors)It’s an old palace in a very old town, but windows and doors are new and so the floors and so on. Just electrical sockets are not near the bed, so bring longer charging cables for your devices.There are lockers to rent nearby (2 min walk) to leave the luggage

It’s very basic, but clean and functional, for that price in the center one should not have other expectations. The key to my room is just an ordinary key that opens any other room (nothing happened though, none entered my room).I stayed 2 nights, but the room does not get cleaned (bed or garbage). I’m ok with that, just so you know.It would have been good with a food/coffee automated machine, but there are bars and grocery stores nearby

The place is located near the shopping area, restaurants and museums.

The toilet was dirty, no shower head only a hose and noisy. You can hear the next room talking and snoring.

Rude staff!! It was heavy raining outside on 7th December when we checked out. After asking the staff member at the reception if we can stay in the lobby until rain stops, the staff member rudely said ‘NO’ . That person doesn’t deserve to work in customer service.

location is good near all the viewing points

No kettle no facilities in the public area, all the stuff are bad condition in the washroom

I met nice people there. Location was nice.

Owner sadly see you just as money income. They don't let you even leave your stuff there for a while or sitting in common area after check out for few minutes. Facilities was really fun (don't want to say horrible) so it keeps you to think creatively. It wasn't really clean.
