Pros +
- the staff was always kind, accommodating, and helpful. Bed very comfortable! Room cozy, very quiet property, easy to rest. Nice sized bathroom, clean, good toiletries.
- The staff was extremely friendly and so kind. They went above and beyond to accomodate our breakfast requests. We loved the homelike feeling of this boutique hotel. They really made us feel welcome and left a little welcome gift in our room the first night (as well as chocolates the second night). They were flexible with the room cleaning (sometimes we got a late start to our day). Their recommendations for restaurants in the area that could accommodate our dietary needs were amazing. I loved how they were so patient with me as I endeavored to practice my Italian while corresponding with them. I would totally recommend this place to anyone visiting Bologna and would stay here again!
- small and boutiquey. Most of the staff was more than willing to help and serve in any way
Cons -
- I had placed a note for service on bathroom mirror as instructed and request was not honored so I had to ask again (this was part of the daily service of my room). Taken care of immediately after I asked again. Room service ended too early I thought. Shower door did not close all the way.
- Hard to get with a car. Was alone and got 2 beds. Many of the amenities look old with a lot of wear
- The ONLY thing I could say (and to be honest, it wasn't a deal breaker at all) was the street where the hotel was located is a bit sketchy. It's a bit off the beaten path, and we witnessed some undesirable activity across the street from the hotel as we stepped out our first day there. We didn't see this again for the remainder of our stay.

internet did not work as was supposed to. they couldn’t do anything about it, even if they tried
The staff, room and breakfast were all amazing :-)
The location didn't feel safe at night.
Excellent facilities, super friendly staff, amazing breakfast. A perfect place to stay in an amazing city.
The location was within walking distance of all the things I wanted to do or see. The staff were very pleasant and provided great recommendations for local restaurants.
The hotel is close to the university area and a piazza where, of course, people gather in the evening. However, the staff was very accommodating in putting me in a quiet room
The breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of choices and all the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel is very central and it's easy to reach everything in the city. The hotel staff gave us a list of good restaurants to try in all price categories which was really helpful. They make lovely coffee as one would expect in Italy.
On first approaching the hotel we noticed a lot of graffiti in the streets around it but we learned that this can be attributed to the high number of students around...many of who were in and around the square nearby, but the overall atmosphere in the area was very good vibrant.
Clean, tidy and welcoming
The location is great, in the middle of the university district. There are loads of students around so it can be a bit noisy but we loved it. Great restaurants and bars all very close by and a short walk from the centre of town. Staff were all great and helpful. We especially loved the maitra de at breakfast, she was great!
This hotel hasn't had any decorating done in 40 years. The quality of the interiors is really bad. The door to the room is plastic, the furniture is plastic, the wardrobe door wouldn't stay closed, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillow was horrible. The art on the walls was falling out of the frames. The decor in the breakfast room was cocktail glasses with plastic beads and fake flowers that looked like it's been there since the 90s. Considering how expensive the room was I was shocked at how tired and dated the place was! The food at breakfast was rubbish, even the coffee wasn't very good and this is in Italy! Good food should be easy. Absolutely not worth the price! They must be making a fortune and haven't spent a penny improving or modernising. Very disappointing.
The location, the size, the wonderfully trained staff and the charm of the room accommodations .
University location lively and untouristy. Also a lot of thought had gone into hospitality and interior design.
Not their fault but a major rebuild was under way nearby - v noisy, but we closed our windows and the sound insulation was amazing.
Loved the area. Vibrant, central, hotel quietly tucked away. I felt very safe. Breakfast was super. Staff helpful and friendly. Chocolate at night….perfect!
Nothing. All was good.
The breakfast was absolutely the best ever.Don’t be put off by the location which is in the university district. Lots of graffiti on buildings. Edgy and lively at night but felt very safe. Small and charming it is indeed and we would definitely recommend and hope to return.
The beds were a little firm for me but not a problem for my daughter.
Very accommodating staff and hotel, this was our 2nd time staying! The breakfast was superb and, even though our stay was short, the staff was very accommodating to our needs!!
Excellent Breakfast very well organized and presented. Staff extremely professional and friendly.
Shower too small.
Great location for walking to main tourist attractions within the old centre of Bologna. Very clean and modern facilities within a traditional building. Great breakfast and comfortable bed and pillows
Nothing. We were very happy with this hotel
As a family of four quickly passing through Bologna, we were very happy with our hotel choice. Check-in was fast, the staff were excellent and our room was beautiful. We were very pleased to receive a complimentary fruit bowl and a hand written note on our bedside table (wonderful touch) and we returned after dinner to find slippers and chocolates left by the beds. These small gestures really made our stay special. Location is great, you are very central and can walk everywhere. We parked our car at one of the many paid secure parking lots and walked the 10minutes to the hotel. They will also store your luggage after check-out if you want to see more of the city.Breakfast was a buffet selection of fruits and pastry’s and the option to choose from the menu (pancakes, eggs etc). Very happy, would highly recommend.
Lovely Little Boutique Hotel in the Centre of Bologna. Very friendly and helpful staff and amazing Breakfast! Would definitely recommend!
Location wasn’t great down a slightly run down alley way. As a solo female tourist I felt slightly on edge walking back after dinner
Awesome staff, we felt welcomed everytime anything was asked, i.e. due to jet lag we missed the breakfast schedule nonetheless staff arranged to provide us with coffee and deserts.
Hotel itself is amazing however around 10m street where it is located is a bit dirty (urine smell).9
