The staff were very helpful and friendly

The net curtains were hanging off the window and didn’t cover the whole window so no privacy unless you pulled the curtains across too.

Very nice and pleasant stay at this hotel the staff were helpful and friendly and dealt quickly with any enquiry I had. The food was brilliant and would recommend this for those staying great selection on the breakfast. Rooms comfortable and clean with lots of extra touches like the hot drinks and toiletries

Could do with plugs near the bed for charging items out room had a heating issue but this was quickly resolved with a portable heater the pool table was also out of action which would have been nice to use whilst there

The staff are very welcoming,helpful and friendly. The hotel felt lovely and warm as you walked in.Breakfast was amazing, everything you could possibly want, good coffee and fresh fruit always a winner for me.

The hotel is well located for York which is easily accessible by bus. All the staff were helpful. The breakfast was tasty and gluten free options were available. Car parking was plentiful.

No dislikes but the bedroom needs a refurb. It looked tired.

The room itself was a good size with comfortable beds.

The food at dinner was pretty bland. Work around the hotel was very loud.

The floor quake a-lot, the bathtub drain was clogged, the wash basin drain closed and couldn’t be opened!!The bed was stiff

The room not enough light.Bed not comfortable and pillows not soft enough.

Overall a nice looking hotel however the rooms were dated and the bedside lamps actually over hanged the bed so sitting up resulted in being hit on the head with the lamps if you weren't careful. No plug hole in the bathroom and missing parts of the sink taps (hot cold label pieces were missing so holes on the top of the taps).

Dated. Paid for dinner, bed and breakfast for our party as part of the inclusive room rate and got told the kids dinner wasn't included despite it not saying this anywhere and the booking said dinner and breakfast was included. Why would kids be going but not have dinner? But breakfast was included. (Kids should get a two course meal included - luckily the hotel sorted this).

The grounds were lovely. The room was a good size. The bed very comfortable. The reception staff helpful and efficient

Unfortunately our toilet didn’t flash properly for the first night and the hair dryer didn’t work properly either. Both problems were sorted quickly by reception staff. The bar restaurant staff were inefficient. We eat in the bar area one night and ordered food and drink at the bar. Our paid for drinks were given immediately, however I also asked for 2 glasses of iced water These beverages never arrived even despite my asking in total 3 times by going back to the bar and reminding the young lady. She told me she would arrange for someone to bring the water over but no one did. It would have been the simplest thing for her to pour some water and add some ice!!

Very enjoyable stay - friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and great food.

Great location and helpful front desk staff. Free parking right in front of the hotel.

Without AC and only a small window, it was very warm in the room. A desk fan helped minimally.
