The breakfast was excellent with lots of options. Location is great, only 10 minutes drive from city center with a bus station 2 minutes from the hotel.

The hotel is dog friendly but only when we arrived they told us that dogs are not allowed to stay alone in the room. This was not mentioned before in the communications we made with the hotel which made things very difficult for us since we have an elderly dog that has trouble walking. Also, the sofa bed was really uncomfortable with lots of bumps popping out. We had to ask the reception three times for something (an extra duvet to sleep on) till we received it late in the evening.

Dirty floors in the dining area, need a good mop. King-size bed with a double duvet in a kingsize cover, corridor doors banging, delivery van, engine running right outside bedroom window at 730 am

Location was convenient for York. Bar and restaurant area was nicely decorated. Some nice pubs across the road.

Bed and sofa bed were extremely uncomfortable. Having asked for a "quiet" room on booking we had an adjoining door with people on other side who were very noisy and inconsiderate.

York location

There was no oat milk as im loctose intolerant. Staff was unhelpful. We had a IHG account that allows us to check out at 2pm and we asked receptionist if we could check out at 2pm. She said she would get back to us about it and never did and had to check out at 11am. Bed uncomfortable as it was 2 singles put together and made cuddling in bed uncomfortable.

The hotel was a great location and had a good restaurant. All of the staff seemed friendly when spoken to.

The room was a little tired. The floor wasn't even, there were stains all on the carpet, the bathroom door did not fully open. I assume it was meant to be there but there were crisps in the fridge?

Clean, warm too. Gluten free options for breakfast great! Really friendly staff.

The sofabed for my eldest kid was not made, had to wait over an hour for it to be made by miserable staff. Lift very small, barely fits a pram and an adult. Noisy residents, doors being slammed at 5 in the morning with no consideration for other guests. Whole building needs to be revamped from top to bottom, looks like a council estate from the outside, car park is all over the place and awful. Toilet seat was also loose, also a broken overflow and soap dispenser. There was no care.

Restaurant staff were attentive and kind

Room very dirty. Reception girl poor attitude, 5 pillows for 4 people, nothing premium about the premium room.

Parking was good and there was plenty of space. The breakfast selection was good. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Felt the room was inadequate for a family of 4, sofa bed only really enough space for one and quite uncomfortable.

We were not given the room type that we had booked. The receptionist advised that our selection of a twin room was just a request and we will get given what they have available (surely you know how many twins you have and after that amount of people have booked that option, then the option to select twin should be removed?). We had to share a double bed.The place is in need of modernisation and the room was not clean. Stains all over the sofa and floor, brown rings on the ceiling and walls.We were also given a connecting style room. The door between the two was very very thin and you could hear all the noise from the neighbouring room.

Staff members that we encountered were all lovely - each one went the extra mile to help us.

Level of cleanliness was incredibly poor!Breakfast was hit and miss.

Free parking, good bus service to city centre.

The room smelled. Water leaking from shower out of the bathroom floor. Menu not varied.We were woken at 09.40 am on last day to see if we had vacated the room. Check out was at 11am. Then a knock at 11.05 am just as we were leaving. We had to ask for room service the day after we checked in.

Room small for a king size room Paintwork looking tired and needing refreshing Breakfast was good.. but had to wait for top ups for eggs, hashbrowns , bacon etc. Choice excellent though

Pillows were like concrete our room was covered on the ceiling by a lots of cobwebs and actual dust webs hanging from the ceiling. lots of dust on top off the headboard and phone in the room was grubby had marks on it and dust . The area of the coffee and tea facilities had splashes up the wall with tea from other occupants so we would not come back as the cleanliness needs looking into and improving
