The Abbey House Hotel is located a 10-minute walk to Reading town center, in a quiet residential area. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking to all guests. Reading has many restaurants, clubs, cafés and shops to offer, including The Oracle shopping center. The hotel is 20 miles from Heathrow Airport and Paddington Station in London can be reached in 25 minutes by rail. All rooms at The Abbey House have a power shower and most have an private bathroom. They also feature tea/coffee making facilities, a desk and a hairdryer. Public areas include a bar and a lounge.

Pros +
- I appreciated being given an upgraded room - it was basic but had everything I needed. Location was close to shops, restaurants and the local railway station so it was all walkable. On the downside, the internal sound insulation was poor so there was some noise from rooms downstairs. And the lighting in the room was very dim.
- Off street parking, excellent price, really great welcome and service. Definitely will stay again if I'm in the area.
Cons -
- Actually, there's nothing I didn't like. If I was being super fussy, I would say the shower curtain in my room wasn't quite long enough, and the hot water wasn't instant. Obviously, I am really trying to find areas for improvement just for the sake of the review. These are observations, not complaints in anyway as they didn't bother me at all.
