The whole hotel is very tired looking. It is clean not everything is very worn . The fixed electric heater in my room was not working. The room decor and corridors lack imagination and are extremely worn and showing wear and tear

Carpet soiled, bathroom in need of an update , overall very tired looking.No heating on in communal areas.

everthing went well nice location great staff, good resterant, amazing access to the main routes in he area, 10 min from portsmouth. brealfast was good and the service was very good, love it there my 5 stay.

Use very often . Very convenient when visiting family. Always nice, clean & comfortable. Handy restaurant & pub attached. Staff very nice and obliging as my husband is disabled. Parking no problem.

Nothing to dislike

Breakfast was good nice friendly staff Child friendly and the family room had plenty of space They have a soft play area although felt knackered after running after a 2 year oldAll in all it was pleasant and comfortable.

I suppose back in its day this hotel was very nice It looks a bit tired in places and could do with a bit of modernising.

The hotel foyer was very impressive and looked like a 5* hotel as we entered. The staff were very well presented and polite. The hotel itself was large and seemed very clean. Our room was a twin and it was spacious and clean. The TV was very large and unlike most hotels I've stayed in, all the free view channels were working.The bathroom was as you'd expect with nice clean towels provided, and proper loo roll, not those silly boxes of tissues you get in many hotels now. . The taps on the bath, although old fashioned, were great as the water GUSHED out really fast so I could run a bath in no time. The hungry horse was adjoining and you didn't even need to leave the hotel to access it. Just through the double doors in the foyer. The food was delicious and very reasonable.

The restaurant was the new, order from table online type, but you had to download an app which was really confusing to use. Even my 20yr old tech addict daughter was confused, and Internet in the restaurant seemed very poor but we realised we could go up to the bar and order after about 15mins of trying. Silly us.

Not enough staff in restaurants and bar

we stay here a lot because the parking is good [Portsmouth parking is a nightmare]and its easy to get to from the eastern approach. The rooms are a fair size and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is ok ,the food through out the day is always available in the Green King Pub attached to the hotel.

not a lot to say only that the hotel is tired and needs some redecoration.

I have stayed here many times and it fulfils my requirements

The fact that Booking.Com had me booked in to different hotels on the same day and did not point out this error so I ended up paying an extra night.You booked me in to B&B Hotel in Ouistreham, France on 4th to 5th February. You also booked me in to Farmhouse Hotel, Portsmouth, England on 4th February. It is not possible to be in two places at once. I feel Booking.Com took advantage when not pointing out the error. I will have to consider what my option will be when I book further hotels in the future.

Check in staff were very friendly and professional and informative.

The bed was very hard which means we did not get too good a night sleep.There were a couple of bits of underwear left in one of the drawers in the room. Staff were very quick to remove them and to apologise.

Helpful and friendly staff. Convenient location with lots of free parking. Attached to a Hungry Horse pub for excellent value food and drinks. I feel safe on my own.

There was a problem with the hot water in my original room, but the staff moved me to another room without any problems.

Comfortable bed, quiet, food is great, nice hot bath/shower

Joe on reception when we arrived was so polite and extremely helpfull.When we were allocated our rooms they were spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable.The facilities there were amazing

Superb stay! The staff were so accommodating - we arrived early and were able to park up. The breakfast was delicious. The beds very comfortable.
